I explained the situation to Response Crew and I was relieved to receive reassurances from the manager of Response Crew that he'd send one of his best door guys out and that we would not be disappointed. The manager also called back twice to make sure we were happy with the job. Although I missed those voice messages I figure posting about my experience here will make up for that. It's always tough when you are trying to hang a new door on an old frame that may not be perfectly straight anymore. And yes only time will tell if the fit holds. But I will say that even if we do have another problem in the future, I know where to go - Response Crew is a no brainer and for sure I'll be a repeat customer for future needs!

UPDATED Review: The…read moreteam reached out to me previously and offered to fix the issues. In our conversation, Rubi assured me that they will fix whatever is wrong with the project. I was hesitant because she said that one day would be enough to do it. When Gilbert arrived, he was by himself (unlike previously when he had an assistant) and said he would take care of the issues. I asked him if he can sand and stain the areas instead of painting in one day and he said it would take more than a day to do that. Given other circumstances, I really needed to reclaim the room that was being worked on and more than a couple of days of renos is something I couldn't do anymore. So I reached a compromise of him smoothing out some of the surfaces and painting instead of staining. Not what I wanted 100% but it is growing on me. I want to highlight that Rubi and Gilbert are genuinely nice people that would be willing to work with you regarding your project. Generally speaking, closing the loop in communication probably would have prevented mishaps. I can't give the 5 stars just because it is not what I had envisioned, but had the circumstances had been different and I had the ability to give their team more time to do exactly what I wanted, I truly believe they would have delivered a 5-star service. I needed cabinets painted and likely a back splash installed. He asked for pictures and a description of what needed to be done. I sent him the pictures and description through Yelp. I was rather surprised when he said that he didn't need an appointment to get me a quote but I thought I'd go with it because I just needed a VERY rough range to facilitate planning. A range of $5000 would've been acceptable. Instead I got told I have "major issues" and he felt "sorry for the poor sap that I hire". Screen shots of the conversation are attached so judge for yourself what kind of person this is. First he no-showed and then insulted me for asking questions. Granted, after reading through our conversation I did see that he asked me to call him and I didn't because I skimmed over that part. My apologies. If he had just asked me again to call him I would've done so.

Unfortunately, during the application process, the resin spilled extensively onto the surrounding paver decking beneath the outdoor kitchen bartop and beneath the table area, resulting in significant damage and staining to the pavers. In an attempt to remedy the issue, Mr. Brown rented a power washer; however, he only retained the machine for approximately three hours, including a two-hour round-trip commute to a Home Depot in the far East Valley, which left him with about one hour of actual cleaning time on site. This effort was ineffective in removing the resin from the pavers. Subsequently, Mr. Brown proposed applying a wet-look sealer over the affected areas to conceal the resin stains. This solution failed to resolve the issue, and the paver damage remained visible In addition to this, Mr. Brown was contracted to complete other projects, including the installation of a steel border on the driveway and gutter covers, both of which were left incomplete after numerous delays and weeks of unsuccessful attempts to have him return and finish the work. When I reached out to Mr. Brown to address the damage to the pavers and to request that he complete the outstanding work for which he had already been paid, he responded by sending me a cease and desist letter, rather than making any effort to rectify the situation.

The gentleman working at the front scale house was unprofessional and disrespectful. He began raising his voice, stating that he had been there since 5:00 a.m. and that he was closing early at 3:45 p.m. When my family stepped out of the vehicle to clarify the situation, he continued yelling, saying that their trash was "not his issue" and reiterating that he had been there all day. Additionally, he stopped a coworker as they were leaving, and together they began recording my family as if they had done something wrong. This interaction was inappropriate--especially in front of a child--and did not reflect the level of professionalism one would expect from a business providing a public service. We have previously appreciated the convenience of this location; however, due to this experience, we will unfortunately choose to take our business to the Glendale location moving forward.

One explained he was in college, and the other said he raced BMX bikes professionally. It quickly became apparent that they weren't experienced movers. It took them an hour just to take apart my king-size bed. The day before, a friend and I moved all 70 boxes ourselves in about five hours total, including loading and unloading. I hired the movers only for the large furniture: a king-size bed, two nightstands, a dresser, a bench, a 65-inch TV, a TV stand, a sofa, a coffee table, and an end table. Moving those items just four miles took them 6.75 hours, which is what I was billed for. After the first hour and a half, they had only taken apart the bed and moved the mattress downstairs. I asked why it was taking so long because it honestly felt like they were dragging their feet. Had I known they weren't actually firefighters, I never would have hired them. I chose this company because my neighbor had used them a few months earlier. I watched that move, and they were in and out very quickly. She also told me nothing was damaged, which gave me confidence in hiring them. Although I was frustrated with how long the move took, I still tipped them 10% using my credit card. I was then surprised to learn there was a 4% credit card processing fee. Since Square charges businesses 2.6% plus 10 cents per transaction, I felt that passing along a 4% fee was excessive, so I deducted that amount from the tip. They used Square to process my transaction. As a small business owner in Scottsdale, I understand the cost of processing credit cards. While I would not use this service again. I was also disappointed that the company's name implied the movers were firefighters when they were not. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I was charged two hours of travel time coming and going to my place when they were getting ready to leave I googled travel time back to surprise and it said 43 minutes I was billed for an hour when I said something he said that they were going past Surprise to the yard that they had to return the truck too. Response to the owners reply The bed has hex screws holding it together, so the only reason it would be difficult to take apart is if you didn't have the proper tools. The fact that you wish you could provide bulky, glistening calendar movers has absolutely nothing to do with anything I wrote in my review or with the efficiency of the movers. I want to be a billionaire, but that doesn't mean I'm going to become one. Likewise, using a name that gives people the impression they are supporting local firefighters is misleading. I see that you don't take constructive criticism well. I stand by my original review and was simply sharing my honest experience.
