We took the Southernmost Food & Cultural Walking Tour which started downtown . Kieran was great, a local who clearly loves his hometown. The tour was a lot of fun. Great pace and interesting details. This was a fantastic 3-hour, leisurely walking tour through Key West to sample a variety of food and drink favored by locals. We did the Seafood Tour which included: Mahi Mahi fish tacos, a Cuban sandwich, lobster mac n cheese, Florida Gulf pink shrimp, and some Key Lime Pie. All of it was beautifully presented and delicious. Food samples were substantial, but not too much where you felt like you were stuffed. We made several stops along the way where our guides Shaylee and Corali pointed out interesting island history, useful tidbits for shopping, and helpful information about things to see, do, and try. The guides were kind enough to ask everyone before we started about dietary restrictions and allergies. One individual in our party was a pescatarian, so a food substitute was offered instead of the Cuban sandwich which has pork. A few stops included alcohol. The guides asked who wanted some, so if you weren't drinking, you didn't feel pressured or have the need to decline. Water was provided at each food stop. Bathrooms were regularly pointed out along the way. They were great about keeping the group together, but we never felt rushed. I would highly suggest this tour to anyone visiting Key West. We did the food and cultural walking tour with a wonderful guide named Corley. We (husband and I) had never done a food tour before and this was a great introduction for us. Corley was happy, informative, and pretty much everything you would want in a tour guide. The tour was 3 hours and stopped at 5 tasting locations. It included one drink and we paid for the upgrade to get 2 more drinks which I highly recommend. First tasting was at Garbo's Grille which is located at Hank's. It was a great start with a Mahi Taco tasting and I opted for the white sangria for my beverage. The second location was the Cuban Coffee Queen in the mall along Front Street. We had a tasting of a Cuban sandwich which was very flavorful. We made a quick stop for another beverage at the Tiki House where the bartender made Zombie cocktails (which included fire!). I had a Moscow Mule here. The third location was Bagatelle which was a tasting of their lobster mac n cheese which was creamy deliciousness. The fourth location was Eaton Street Seafood Market where we had 2 pink shrimp cocktail and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Lastly we ended with dessert at Kermit's Original Ket Lime Pie Shoppe where Kermit himself was greeting customers out front. Here we had the option of traditional key lime pie or frozen key lime bar covered in chocolate. My husband and I had one of each and shared for double the enjoyment. Both were delicious with the right amount of lime. During the tour, Corley was knowledgeable at pointing out all the cultural highlights while we were walking. She stopped at many notable places along the way which gave us a great insight into Key West. One of the great places we popped in at was Rodriguez which is the oldest cigar company in the Florida Keys. We were able to watch them hand roll cigars which was kind of cool! The best thing we did during our short vacation to Key West. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.

So we did two of their tours and had a good time on both. First we did the cocktails tour. This was my favorite and, for those who might be worried, didn't involve all that much walking. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the local "scene" and did a great job. ProTip- make sure you eat before you go. It's a lot of alcohol. We also did a food tour. What fun! Best advice is to have a solid meal about an hour before you take the pub crawl cocktail tour. You get food & drinks paced out over 3 hours, but you'll be toasty by the end. I always love to go on food tours because you learn about the city and get to eat local food. What could be better. Chris was our tour guide and did amazing. I would say we probably walked 1.5-2miles which I didn't mind at all, but was a lengthier food tour. We stopped at 5 places total and all were great. I went on the seafood tour - I added the optional drink package This is a must do if you visit Key West. Make sure you have your walking shoes on as you are going to cover a little over a mile on this 3 hour tour (everyone sing along - corny Gilligan's Island reference). We started at Garbo's Grill (as seen on D, D & D with Guy Feiri. and had the highlight of the trip IMHO - Mahi Mahi Taco - I fed the roaming rooster here some of my purple cabbage. I had a nice rum punch here. Next we went on a nice history hike until we came to the Cuban Coffee Queen in the Artist Mall and had a mini Cuban sandwich and chilled in some wonderful AC for about 15 minutes. We visited a couple of local craftsmen shops that make cigars and sandals. Next was Bagatelle where we got a nice sampling of lobster Mac & Cheese. The lobster was the locally harvested spiny lobster that pairs well with the Mac & cheese. The next leg was the longest walking part where you get near the highest elevation in Key West - 13 ft above sea level. Finally we ended up at the Eaton Street Seafood Market where we had a nice sampling of the huge locally caught pink shrimp/cocktail sauce and some white wine. The last leg took us to a private yacht in the harbor where we were greeted with a stout dark rum cocktail and the a sampling of key lime pie from Old Town Bakery. I strongly urge everyone to do a walking tour. So fun! read more

Good not great. Lots of walking us into non food stores and waiting around for others to shop. Cigar shop, sandal store, art store, etc etc. I didn't pay for "strategic" visits to stores to stretch out a 3 hour tour. 4 of the stops had tables for us but the 5th didn't so we ate standing up. So basically I think this can be done in 90-120 minutes and more attention to the food is preferred. Maybe even the owners of the restaurants can introduce themselves as their stories may be better than what the guide shares. read more

Nothing more exciting than a history tour with great food to learn about a city. Food tours have become my new thing to do when I travel to different cities. You get to learn more about the culture and the foods that make the city unique. This tour was a wonderful experience and Megan the tour guide made it that much better. I went during MLK weekend 2021 and it wasn't bad at all. You never know what to expect during Covid times. We had a group of about 10 people and everyone was able to social distance and still enjoy the experience. All of the places we visited were phenomenal. We got to try fish tacos, Cuban sandwiches, shrimp , Mac and Cheese and the key lime pie of course. I would highly recommend trying this food tour when in the key west area read more

Today we went on the Key West Historic Seaport Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour by Key West Food Tours. Sharon was our guide. She was fabulous and kept our group of 8 laughing and learning all about Key West. We booked through Trip Advisor and there wasn't an alcohol package offered, so we purchased our drinks on site. This was considerably more expensive. Lesson learned, check the business website to compare prices and see if there is an add on package. Key West Food Tours is incredibly accommodating to us. I thought I had booked for January 28. We weren't on this list. It turned out I had accidentally booked our tour for February 28! The company amended our tickets and we were good to go! Be sure to come HUNGRY to this tour. We do walk between places, so you can make room for the next dish! We met our guide at Garbo's Grill @Hanks. Here we enjoyed a Mahi Mahi Taco and a rum punch! Both were delicious! We then walked to the Cuban Coffee Queen, where we were treated to a Cuban Mix Sandwich. This was the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. Afterwards we went into two authentic Cuban family businesses, the Kino Sandals and a Cuban Cigar shop. Both were interesting. Walking through the neighborhoods, we learned the stories about several homes. We then stopped into a Tiki Bar and had a delicious margarita type drink called a Zombie. It was on FIRE, literally!! Our next stop was at Bagatelle, where we enjoyed lobster mac and cheese. We learned that Key West lobsters are savory, while Maine lobsters have a sweeter taste. We then walked along the boardwalk and ended up at Eaton St Seafood Market. Here we enjoyed a glass of wine with a Key West Pink shrimp cocktail. We finished our tours with Key Lime pie at Kermit's. This tour took about 3 hours and all of the places are off the beaten path that we probably wouldn't have found without a tour. We also learned cultural tidbits of Key West along the way! Enjoyed the Cocktail Crawl yesterday (Mon, Sep 19, 2022), and had the BEST time!! There were only 2 of us who booked the tour for this day, but it actually worked out better because we had Rose (our guide) all to ourselves. He was AMAZING! Yes, the drinks were great, but the best part was hitting up these hidden gems that we would never have considered visiting, even though we've been to Key West more than half a dozen times. Mary Ellen's is a cool spot with surprisingly tasty cauliflower bites. The lobby bar in The Saint hotel is gorgeous! The beers at First Flight were terrific (this is coming from a craft beer fan)! And General Horseplay - SO fun!! It helped that Rose has so many friends in town. By the time we got to Tiki House, we were feeling no pain, and still got to enjoy a flaming zombie. (Please beware of this last stop, because that drink and bar were so good that we had to get another.) Things got a little fuzzy after that. But Rose continued to take care of us. We are never disappointed on a food tour, and this was no different. Dana had the knowledge of someone who had lived in key west for generations, better known as a "salt water conch." Her story telling is lively and we learned so much about the area, that had has fascinated in conversation through the rest of our stay. We enjoyed all the food and drinks, and learned about the cuisine of the area too. Some people in these reviews complain about the heat...I say, you are in the keys. Prepare appropriately and you will be ok. Bring a hat, comfortable walking shoes or flops, sunscreen, and light clothes. It was hot, but we only stopped in the shade for stories, and every restaurant we sat inside in the A/C. read more
