This was a fantastic 3-hour, leisurely walking tour through Key West to sample a variety of food and drink favored by locals. We did the Seafood Tour which included: Mahi Mahi fish tacos, a Cuban sandwich, lobster mac n cheese, Florida Gulf pink shrimp, and some Key Lime Pie. All of it was beautifully presented and delicious. Food samples were substantial, but not too much where you felt like you were stuffed. We made several stops along the way where our guides Shaylee and Corali pointed out interesting island history, useful tidbits for shopping, and helpful information about things to see, do, and try. The guides were kind enough to ask everyone before we started about dietary restrictions and allergies. One individual in our party was a pescatarian, so a food substitute was offered instead of the Cuban sandwich which has pork. A few stops included alcohol. The guides asked who wanted some, so if you weren't drinking, you didn't feel pressured or have the need to decline. Water was provided at each food stop. Bathrooms were regularly pointed out along the way. They were great about keeping the group together, but we never felt rushed. I would highly suggest this tour to anyone visiting Key West. It was very enjoyable and I learned a lot!

We did the food and cultural walking tour with a wonderful guide named Corley. We (husband and I) had never done a food tour before and this was a great introduction for us. Corley was happy, informative, and pretty much everything you would want in a tour guide. The tour was 3 hours and stopped at 5 tasting locations. It included one drink and we paid for the upgrade to get 2 more drinks which I highly recommend. First tasting was at Garbo's Grille which is located at Hank's. It was a great start with a Mahi Taco tasting and I opted for the white sangria for my beverage. The second location was the Cuban Coffee Queen in the mall along Front Street. We had a tasting of a Cuban sandwich which was very flavorful. We made a quick stop for another beverage at the Tiki House where the bartender made Zombie cocktails (which included fire!). I had a Moscow Mule here. The third location was Bagatelle which was a tasting of their lobster mac n cheese which was creamy deliciousness. The fourth location was Eaton Street Seafood Market where we had 2 pink shrimp cocktail and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Lastly we ended with dessert at Kermit's Original Ket Lime Pie Shoppe where Kermit himself was greeting customers out front. Here we had the option of traditional key lime pie or frozen key lime bar covered in chocolate. My husband and I had one of each and shared for double the enjoyment. Both were delicious with the right amount of lime. During the tour, Corley was knowledgeable at pointing out all the cultural highlights while we were walking. She stopped at many notable places along the way which gave us a great insight into Key West. One of the great places we popped in at was Rodriguez which is the oldest cigar company in the Florida Keys. We were able to watch them hand roll cigars which was kind of cool! I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to have someone like Corley then you are in for a treat!

Fresh catch of the day, jerk Mahi Mahi, with saffron rice, cilantro and goat cheese.

Marissa, being a true local, knew the historical context of the stories she provided with some humor. Her history combined with the food tour really brought it all together. Let me add, the sampling of food was Amazing! We savored each bite and sip of the local cuisine. Excellent all around!

One of several places we stopped on the cocktail tour with a cool story about Bill Murray behind it.

So we did two of their tours and had a good time on both. First we did the cocktails tour. This was my favorite and, for those who might be worried, didn't involve all that much walking. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the local "scene" and did a great job. ProTip- make sure you eat before you go. It's a lot of alcohol. We also did a food tour. There was a lot more walking to this one. It was still fun but wasn't my favorite. The guide was great though.

What fun! Best advice is to have a solid meal about an hour before you take the pub crawl cocktail tour. You get food & drinks paced out over 3 hours, but you'll be toasty by the end. Loved all of the little out of the way gems you probably would walk right by if you didn't take the tour. Well worth the $$ by a long shot! Maxwell was our guide -- super chill and informative, native Key West dude. Cheers!

I always love to go on food tours because you learn about the city and get to eat local food. What could be better. Chris was our tour guide and did amazing. I would say we probably walked 1.5-2miles which I didn't mind at all, but was a lengthier food tour. We stopped at 5 places total and all were great. Cuban food, rum bar, Caribbean food, conch fritters, and of course key lime pie (and chocolate covered key lime pie) Everything was amazing, but if I had to choose the Caribbean food from kaya island eats and the chocolate covered key lime pie bar were my favorite.

Jasmine was an excellent tour guide today for our walking food tour. She accommodated the needs of the people on the tour (some didn't walk), spoke about some of the history of the homes and businesses and food we ate. This was a very good tour and look forward to doing some of the other tours. Definitely recommend this tour and Jasmine.

I'll start with the positives and then get to the negatives and rank them in order. Positives: 1. The palm trees and lush vegetation. 2. The decorations for pride and their 50th anniversary. 3. The food is still reasonably good, although the prime rib came out cold. 4. The rooms have been generally remodeled to be more modern. Negatives: 1. The room is cool in the morning, warms up by late afternoon, is hot by 9 PM, and doesn't start to cool back off until 2:30 AM. 2. The bar staff plays Spanish music only all day until you ask the front desk to have it switched to English to which the bar staff takes offense. 3. The bar staff is more interested in watching the FIFA soccer tournament than actually waiting on any guests. 4. The further you went back into the room away from the front door the weaker the Wi-Fi signal got until there was no signal. 5. The soap dispenser leaked onto the towels hanging on the towel bar below it. Instead of having it fixed, the towels were put on the floor. 6. The gang shower between the gym, indoor Jacuzzi, and steam room area smells like sewage. 7. The sitting area above the stairway and at the end of the hall next to room 210 is covered in and reeks of pigeon feces. See attached pic. Although the front desk and management are responsive, it used to be that these things were taken care of without guests needing to point them out or request they be fixed. Not sure if it's due to staff turnover and/or management turnover but hopefully this review will be taken seriously and help future guests as we will not be coming back anytime soon. My overall rating is a 1 because the negatives far outweigh the positives in importance for the price you pay. And when prices are raised, you would expect the service level would raise as well or at least stay the same, which, in this case has not. Please remember that you're in the HOSPITALITY SERVICE industry. This is basically lipstick on a pig.

It might be a solid tour of Key West, but we were wanting to get the tour while using the hop on and off part of it. We waited approx 15 minutes for a trolley at stop 11. There were 2 trolleys. I wondered why they weren't spaced out apart. But ok. We took it to stop 1 and did some touring and shopping. When we were ready to go, there are several trolleys at the stop, but no drivers. We waited a good 20 minutes before we left. They explained that they're only doing trolleys every 30 minutes now that the cruise ship had left port instead of 15 minutes. With how many trolleys we're going, why wasn't there a trolley leaving every 5 or 10 minutes? So then we got off at stop 5 to see what we wanted to see. By the time we were done, there were no more trolleys. UPDATING THIS REVIEW TO 3 stars. Because of the comment from the business, I did request a refund and I did receive it today. Thank you. ** Updated review to 3 stars. Per the business comment, I did put in for a refund. I did receive it today. I appreciate that. Thank you. ** I was very dissatisfied. Fix the timing. I have used 1 other system like this in Boston and it worked great! Trolleys coming and going all the time. I will not use this again in Key West or anywhere else this company is operating. Again, probably great if you're just going to do the tour. If you're going to use the hop on and off, start right when they start operating. Our first guide did some kind of adjustments which helped, but if you have any hearing impairment, sit in the front. It's also around $50 a person which is pretty steep, in my opinion. You can ride it as much as you want during operating hours that day so maybe if you went around a couple times that would equal the price. Overall, it was fun and worth doing once.

A female guest was verbally cornered and aggressively berated by an enraged male patron over a minor non-issue involving a bird near the family pool deck. Despite multiple eyewitnesses, who were asked to confirm the woman did nothing wrong and that the man was the sole aggressor, hotel security decided to de-escalate his threatening behavior. In addition, it seems security contacted local police on behalf of the man to have the female guest and her children removed under threat of arrest. We fully understand that this hotel is private property and management has the right to enforce rules on its premises. However, paying patrons also have rights. One of them is the right to a safe environment and fair treatment. Using private property rights to shield an aggressive patron while penalizing a victimized woman is a complete failure of duty of care. As a paying guest, watching management handle this safety concern the way it did was alarming and disappointing. While this was a verbal assault and not a physical assault, it should not diminish the fact that the female patron responded to the man to de-escalate using logic instead of emotions. To the mom - please reach out here via message to let us know you are safe and sound with your family. We tried reaching out through the hotel and on OoenTable/Google Business. Hope you're doing ok now! To the man with anger issues on principle - just because you thought your child (and the woman's children) may have overheard a swear word when a bird was being shooed away from tainting the pool water, it could have stopped with you. Teach your child to not say that word instead of dressing down a mom in public for your audience. This could be a core memory for children and adults, especially those who witness this in the home. My own children, who watched this performance, said to me they were worried the argument would turn physically violent. I'm happy it didn't, but it did ruin our afternoon. We have not been back to the family pool since then. Life is short, my brother, and you got your free drink. Please choose better next time.
