So I normally write long and detailed reviews, but this one will just be a quick one so I can review my recent 2026 vacation while the memories are still fresh! I bought my ticket for the Old Town Trolley Tours Key West as part of the Norwegian cruise line excursions list and therefore, paid more than I would have normally for something like this. I have been to Key West a few times before and had seen many of the important sites on the island on my own but my friends were doing this trolley tour so I did as well. And I still learned a lot! Manny, our tour guide, was born and raised on Key West and therefore, had a great perspective on everything. I think he is the reason why I recommend this tour. Like many others have said, the trolley itself isn't too comfortable but it is sturdy, and you can get on and off as much as you want. As we were on a moving vehicle, I didn't get the best pictures so you probably won't either. Look up the trolley schedule and plan your get on/get off stops well. And try to get a local tour guide if you can! read more

Not Recommended -- Lack of Respect and Professionalism I cannot recommend this tour company based on the way this tour operator treated people, particularly an older adult. Regardless of the situation, people working in the tourism industry should understand the importance of being courteous, patient, and respectful toward their guests. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The tour operator was extremely rude and gave what I felt was a completely inappropriate and disrespectful response to a senior citizen. When he received a response in return, his behavior escalated. He became aggressive and appeared ready to get off the bus and confront the person physically. Thankfully, someone younger stepped in and advised him not to get off the bus before the situation could escalate further. What is most disappointing is that this entire situation could have been avoided with something as simple as, "No," or "No, ma'am." There was absolutely no reason for the interaction to become confrontational. Tourism is about hospitality, and respect should be extended to everyone--especially senior citizens. A tour operator represents not only themselves but the company and the destination they are serving. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this tour company. read more

We had tickets for the 07.18.26 trolleys. For $50 per person, it was definitely not worth it for us. It might be a solid tour of Key West, but we were wanting to get the tour while using the hop on and off part of it. We waited approx 15 minutes for a trolley at stop 11. There were 2 trolleys. I wondered why they weren't spaced out apart. But ok. We took it to stop 1 and did some touring and shopping. When we were ready to go, there are several trolleys at the stop, but no drivers. We waited a good 20 minutes before we left. They explained that they're only doing trolleys every 30 minutes now that the cruise ship had left port instead of 15 minutes. With how many trolleys we're going, why wasn't there a trolley leaving every 5 or 10 minutes? So then we got off at stop 5 to see what we wanted to see. By the time we were done, there were no more trolleys. UPDATING THIS REVIEW TO 3 stars. Because of the comment from the business, I did request a refund and I did receive it today. This is a very convenient way to get around Key West and the trolley is "hop on, hop off" style so you can jump off at any stop and hop back on when another one comes by. It's also narrated, which provides interesting information about the town, major attractions on the route and historical background. The trolley is open, so there is no air conditioning. I did not mind that, however the road noise can get very loud at times and it made it hard to hear the narration. Our first guide did some kind of adjustments which helped, but if you have any hearing impairment, sit in the front. It's also around $50 a person which is pretty steep, in my opinion. You can ride it as much as you want during operating hours that day so maybe if you went around a couple times that would equal the price. Overall, it was fun and worth doing once. read more

This is a perfect tour to see all the island and do any parts of the island you want. Hop off the trolly and then when you're ready, go to the stop and the longest you wait is 15 minutes. I personally did the down town shopping, key lime pie at Kermit's, and the southern most point. The only drawback I found was that the busses get crowded and you might not be able to board every bus that comes by. At the downtown stop 5, we had to wait 3 busses because it was packed and couldn't fit more than 2 people. We also ran out of time I wished we could make it to 2 more stops, but the last bus is done at 4:30 and we had to board our cruise ship. Made for a perfect day, just wish I had more time. read more

The tour was amazing and our tour guide was with Lowkey the goat. But a ghost bit off my toe and it was very bad. No. Watch out for bugs on you toes if your toes are hairy my toes are very hairy and a bug was eating the hair! But besides the hair wating bug this was on of the best and nicer ghost I've been on because i usually fall asleep to ghost tour but this one was actually funny and interesting I got a very very good laugh out of the majestical tour! read more

Chris and Grace narrated and were both interesting, funny and informative HOWEVER we got an email that the tours were running late because of the marathon that was scheduled that day(they had a marathon that morning) and did not offer any compensation or stay opened later so we didn't get the entire tour because we did the off/on option with less time. I wanted to take a moment and write this review. this was our first time riding the trolley or the train. We live in Ft. Lauderdale and have come to Key West many times. I have seen these trolleys every time. We decided to take the ride and tour. GLAD WE DID!!!! We had such a great time. The drivers were fantastic!!! They seemed to enjoy their jobs! We took several trips around to get different perspectives from different drivers We would like to mention Jill and Vanessa who helped us out in Mallory Square getting our train tour tickets. They were great!!! We really appreciate their extra effort. We will make sure to recommend these trips to EVERYONE we know. I am sure they too will enjoy these tours as much as we did!!! We took the Key West Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley 1-day pass on an extremely rainy and stormy day, and it turned out to be the best experience! Despite the challenging weather, our driver navigated the flooded streets expertly. Each trolley is equipped with plastic windows that roll down to keep passengers dry, which was a huge relief. What made the experience truly enjoyable was that the rain didn't deter the tour guides. They continued to give informative and engaging tours, even though no one was getting on or off and the windows were foggy. After a few hours, the weather cleared up, and we were able to enjoy the tour again, making the traditional stops and experiencing different drivers/guides. Throughout the day, we had five different drivers, each putting their own unique spin on the information about each area. Our party of four included someone who has difficulty walking, but this tour allowed them to see the town and take in the sights comfortably. A couple of things to keep in mind for those that have difficulty walking, you will need to get off the trolley a few times, either for specific stops or when a driver reaches the end of their route. Overall, this was an excellent way to explore Key West, regardless of the weather! read more

I love hop on hop off tours - I think they offer a quick introduction to a city. I like getting on and riding the entire tour without hopping off until I've made the rounds. Then the second time around I'll get off and I'll know what I'm planning to see. The ride in Key West is by a trolley. All in it's about $60 per person - last trolley leaves the station at 4:30 and the entire loop takes about 90 minutes for 14 stops. When they get to stop #6 the next several stops are in "new city" and the stops are at hotels with little else to see. But they need those stops to build the loop. The first and last several stops are in "old city" where everyone wants to be. Overall it works! I was on/off four times and most noticeably are the skills of the tour guides. Only 1 of mine was skilled. One might have been skilled but he was angry. And I was surprised that two of them shared negative information about certain sites. I also didn't like the guide who said: "Eat and spend your money with the locals." In other words: don't patronize the franchise brands. I should have spoken up but I'm on vacation and off the clock. But this is stupidity. Who owns those franchises? THE LOCALS! Local business people invest their money to own/operate all sorts of franchises including restaurants and cafes in Key West. Very poor experience- no room at the beginning of the day- very cramped seating and lots of people wanting to ride that were left at the stop. We have been waiting 20 minutes and just told we could not board the empty trolley that just stopped. Still waiting- $55 is a lot of money for no admissions and no transportation- we ended up walking so we could at least see The Truman House and Hemmingways house but can't get a trolly to get back before the Sail n Rail closed. Uber instead- much more efficient and comfortable. read more

Inexpensive 5 stars hop on hop off trolley. The driver gives some informative history about Key West. The ride took about 1 and half . We passed alot off interesting spots. We rode the first time completely around ,then reboarded another trolley and got off at the Boardwalk and had lunch. I was apprehensive about paying for the trolley, thinking we could just navigate the free city bus system. However, I am glad we did the trolley! It was so easy to navigate, and if you found some good spots, you could just walk to the next trolley spot. They are every 30 minutes, so it's easy to time too! We were so lucky to have Bailey for most of our trolley tour, he was so personable and FULL of knowledge! 2-19-22 3:00 PM Ok totally transparency between us Yelpers I have taken this Trolley many times over the past 40 years coming here. However this visit was not planned. I was visiting for the day with my friend who is a local. We are not great drinkers so only one very strong drink later we got on the Trolley figuring it will sober us up. Her being a Local we got a major discount note you have to show your license with proof you live here but major perk for us. The tour covered the entire island as well as an extensive history about the island going all the way back to the earlier inhabitants to today. Past tours pointed out famous peoples homes present day no. I guess in respect for their privacy. The tour started at Mallory Square and you can hop on and off the entire day. Since we really just wanted to stay on we did it from start to finish about two hours. Truthfully if I had the time I would definitely get on in the AM get off at Smathers Beach, Hemingway House. Truman's House the Little White House and the Butterfly World. I love taking in the architecture and the gingerbread detail on the houses. They go by the Southern Most Point as well as Duval and all the famous bars my favorites are Sloppy Joe's stopped later for a St. Patrick Day's T for 2022 for hubby his one from 2013 looks a bit worn lol. Also the Green Parrot is a must stop. Definitely will take the trolley on my next visit to Key West especially as parking is very difficult so this is great as it gets you everywhere you want to go! read more

Paid $90 for a two day ticket with unlimited on and off. Problem is they only run the trolley. Till late afternoon. In the evening, they do a grave and ghost tour. Would've been much cheaper off riding the Duval bus loop which many drivers let you get on for free. Otherwise the cost is four dollars each time you ride. You are much cheaper off And the buses are air-conditioned while the trolley is not. read more

I know it is kind of hokey, but we usually take one of these bus tours when available in the cities we visit. We have found it is an easy an relaxing way to get a feel for the city and areas that need to be explored further. We booked our Trolley Tour at our hotel, the Parrot Key and we had to walk a short way to another hotel to meet the trolley. We did not wait more then two minutes and we were on our first trolley. The trolley was a great way to get around Key West. We pretty much used it the entire day, getting on and off 5 times. The price was reasonable and there are 15 stops. On the day we chose to use the Old Town Trolley Tour, there were not any cruise ships in port so we never had a crowded bus. The drivers were all very good and pointed out the various places of interest with knowledge and sometimes also added in a bit of humor. Our last driver was great and he should definitely take his act out on the road. Everyone was laughing the entire way! read more

Tour guide and went above and beyond to explain everything. It was funny and very informative.

I am so glad we did this on our first full day here. The trolley tour was $50/person and we were able to hop on right across from our hotel. There are 13 stops and you can get on and off at your leisure all day. Each guide tells the same basic narrative but adds their own personalities and flair to the trios so we never tired of hearing them and I learned something new from each guide. Tours start every half hour on the hour at stop one and if you ride the whole way it will take 90 minutes. Each guide encourages your water consumption like a concerned parent. I'm seriously considering purchasing another day pass as they offer a $20/ per person second day. read more

We did the Christmas trolley tour in the monsoon rain! It was a great time except to incredibly obnoxious drunk ladies who were screaming their own Christmas songs over the Christmas songs the trolley was playing but thankfully Patrick the trolley guide stopped the tour and told the lady this was not her concert and saved the day haha!!! it was truly a great time. The only bumper was the rain shields were down so it wasn't easy to see the Christmas lights but that is not their fault, it was raining really hard. Our only complaint is for old town trolleys in general we've been here a week and we just wish you could buy a path for a couple days (3-5 and at a reasonable rate like $75 not $250) not just one day, at a more affordable rate for people who have already done the trolley tour and just want something they can hop on and hop off throughout their vacation. The trolleys always have lots of room and we suggested this to the company. read more

My Girlfriend loves to do the trolly tours anytime we venture somewhere new which has them. I've become a fan of them as well. This one did not disappoint. We were given a great introduction to the area and it's history. I recommend doing it as one of the first things you do if you're venturing here for your first time because it will show you the area and allow you to identify places you'd like to explore. It also gives you a great history lesson of the area. It is hop on and off so it is also a great way to get around uptown and down town after you've completed a full loop. read more
