Great pace and interesting details. An easy walk for our 60s to 70s group. The food was amazing. I loved El Siboney the best ( Cuban food) Five tastings in five different spots. The tuna and conch were very tasty and fresh. Topped with an espresso and key lime pie at the end. Worth every penny . A good first day visit to get your bearings.

A true gem in Key West!…read more The Island City House is a home away from home. I stayed in the Cigar House. The room has a great setup with a king bed in the bedroom with pocket doors to separate it from the rest of the suite. There is a combination full kitchen, dining area, and living area. This room was so comfortable. They think of everything for make this home away from home. The room is stocked with salt/pepper, silverware, glassware, coffee cups, cooking supplies and utensils. I would enjoy making my coffee in the Keurig and setting either on the porch or by the coy pond with the water feature. I don't remember. The las time I was this relaxed. Since they supplied wine glasses so could enjoy wine on the porch or by the coy pond. And the housekeeping, Abigail, was a true delight. The Cigar House is in the middle of the complex so you are not distributed but road noise. I cannot wait to come back. I already booked next year!

It is about and hour and one half guided walking tour and began at 9:30 in the morning. Our tour guide was really great. She took us around old city and thoroughly explained the history of Key West over the years. She also pointed out other places that she thought we might like to explore further such as the Truman Little White House. My family and myself really enjoyed the tour and it was a great way to explore old town Key West.

This impressive Queen Anne Victorian style house was designed as a one-bedroom mansion. What it lacked in bedrooms it more than made up for with its open water views, elegant public rooms, two story balconies, and large stained glass windows to catch the ocean breezes. little bit of History piece: William Curry came to Key West, from the Bahamas, penniless. He became a wrecker and with his massive fortune, built eight mansions in Key West and became Florida's first millionaire. His daughters wed wealthy men as well. One of his daughters, Florida Euphemia, married Judge Vining Harris. Interesting Fact: Electricity was a novelty and a luxury in the 1890's. Mrs. Harris wanted the best and was able to engage Thomas Edison to oversee the electrical design and installation for the house.

It had a chair swing. Beautiful architecture and extremely clean room! It had a fridge, oven and dining room, but my only complaint is it doesn't have a microwave. Service was great. The room was huge with a private entrance and patio, and nearby the pool. The location is phenomenal right near Duvall Street but without loud noise or chaos, it becomes a quiet retreat. Service was so friendly here and we loved the happy hour rum punch and seeing Mango in the morning! The pool was also fantastic. I would be more than thrilled to stay here again!!!! One note - because of the low ceilings, be careful if you're super tall in the Puerto Rico room!!!

This time we were booked into this adorable Inn right in the heart of Duval! I would totally recommend this place! The room was spacious, the shower was huge (and the bathroom too), and the bed was soooooo comfortable. I have a really bad back so it was a treat to not wake up in pain. They also give you a certificate for a free drink at check-in at their adorable in house rum bar, and the bartender does not hold back! A bonus was they had a full size fridge with water for us, and a mini kitchen! I loved learning about the history of this place from the staff. The palings on the upper porch has alcohol bottles as well as hearts, spades, diamonds, and clubs cut out to signify it was a speakeasy where booze and gambling could be found, back in the day. They also had a resident cat by the name of Captain Tubby (I believe that was his official name. I called him Captain Phatasmic) who was the pinnacle representation of the Key West laid back attitude. The only reason it's not a 5 star review is bright and early Saturday morning we were woken by the roaring sounds of a chain saw taking down branches of trees directly outside our room. If you've ever spent a night in Key West you know they usually end pretty late, so it was a bit of a rude awakening. There was also a hose left out all night directly in the pathway that I nearly tripped on. I would absolutely love to return to this place and hope that next time it's not such a short trip so that I can enjoy a lazy afternoon people watching on their porch while sipping on delicious rum drinks. Next time!

The staff was friendly and kept the room tidy and replenished the bottled water in our mini fridge which was very appreciated. We also enjoyed the attached bar, the Rum Bar. Their drink and cocktail selection was great. They had a banana split cocktail that was my favorite. Even with the bar in the same building, it wasn't loud when we went to bed early. It was very convenient to get a drink before bed though.
