I was skeptical and got a second opinion with an ER doctor and an Orthopedic Surgeon whom both stated the injury will simply heal on its own and surgery is not necessary. I have had some…read moreterrible experiences in the past but unfortunately have no choice as where exactly can one go their routine medical tests. This experience was actually pleasant. I came in today at 7:45 for an appointment I made online. I came in an quickly signed in through their electronic kiosk system.... super efficient and easy. I then paid for my lab tests and waiting to be called. What's interesting is that the tv actually tells you your place in line and an approximate amount of time you will wait. Wow that's good.... because now there is no question as to when you will be seen. When I went in I was quickly ushered into a seat and my phlebotomist drew out all the blood needed for the tests. I was amazed she got my vein on the first try and it actually didn't hurt. I have small veins and every time I have blood drawn, I get butchered.... constant stabs... pain.... it sucks. Then I have bruises on my arms for weeks. This phlebotomist kicked butt. If I need to do tests in the future I will return here.

I just show up before 6:30 AM they pass the appointment people first which I completely understand, but at that time there are no many people waiting so once I have signed in the kiosk it takes me 15 minutes to be done. All the phlebotomists I've seen are very profesional; of course some are more courteous and have nice personality than others, but at that time in the morning no many people smile I'll the time.

Jorge walked me through the whole process, reassured me that everything was going to be alright, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. I made the mistake of going on a banana boat ride on my 54th birthday. Yeowch! By the next morning,…read moremy back hurt more than it ever had before. I was literally crying out in pain with the smallest movements. The office staff, including Kayla, were friendly and efficient. Kayla got me set up in a wheelchair and offered to bring me my ID and the check-in tablet so I wouldn't have to get up. We had quite a wait, but once we got in a room things moved quickly. My PA, Amy (with dark, curly hair--she says they have two Amys) was very compassionate and did a thorough exam, and collaborated with me on the treatment plan, including being willing to give me a steroid injection when I asked (after educating me on the pros and cons). She also gave me an rx for a muscle relaxant and OTC recommendations. Upon waking the next morning, I am still wincing and walking bent over, but no longer shouting and swearing from the pain. With three days left of vacation I have high hopes that I'll be able to mostly enjoy myself and participate gently in the rest of our planned activities. I recommend this clinic for acute health needs during your vacation.

It still took a while to be seen. We then had a 1 hour wait at 8:45 when I brought my son back. They are a small facility, they don't have all the fancy gizmos but they do what they can. We got antibiotics and thankfully enjoyed the rest of our visit. I recommend going as soon as they open to minimize the wait. Keep in mind the pharmacies down there don't open until 9 so there was a gap but not their fault. I'd rather wait for the Rx then feel miserable in a waiting room for hours.
