Keys to Denali is a punctual and hospitable car rental establishment. They loaned us free bear spray which is a must have when visiting Alaska . Picked us up from the train station and drop us off in a timely manner . They tagged our luggage and helped drop it off at the baggage area . Gave us ample of tips such as where to get grocery, hiking trails and which bus to take inside Denali National Park. The car is clean, comfortable and safe to drive . This is definitely the best car rental service I have ever received and I have rented plenty of them because I love traveling! We rented a large SUV from these folks as we were traveling with 5 people and wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable. We got a very luxurious newer SUV, in great shape! The large screen was awesome for us to be able to use the Maps function on the phone and easily navigate. Terry was waiting for us at the train station to transport us to their facility to pick up the car (along with walking sticks and bear spray). Terry gave us recommendations and insights about local businesses along the ride, which I wrote down and used during our time in Denali. Throughout the process of trip planning, I ended up emailing and calling with Ann a lot, and she was SUPER helpful and informative. When I told her we planned to take the Alaska Railroad, she offered to book our tickets for us and she did a great job (I wanted different kinds of tickets for us for different legs, as I wanted Gold Star for some of the trip but couldn't afford for he whole time. The way Ann arranged it, worked out perfectly!) She also gave me some advice regarding access to the Natl Park with my FIL's disability that turned out to be a HUGE contributing factor to the enjoyment of our trip, and without her advice I'd never have known about it! I would not recommend. Very disorganized and confused about the terms of the contract for pick up and drop off. I had paid extra to have the car dropped and picked up at the hotel since we were on a tight schedule. Luckiy I had emails with everything spelled out, but the owners failed to review the contract and were unprepared which cost us valuable time. Also tried to charge me more money than the agreed on price at time of rental. The son was very disrespectful and could care less about trying to help or fix their mistakes. Nice but late models! The Ford Expedition only has step rail on driver side! Vent for back in ceiling are busted. Air controller for back not working (works from front controller) Got the job done, great to have the freedom to go when & where on our time! Agree with other reviewer regarding "Ann"! We called to see If shes gonna be picking up next renters at Train Depot why not make it just as easy to pick up the current renters vehicle? Next renter paperwork simple enough! CONTRACT says pick up & return is between 9 & 9. But it's on their schedule NOT the customer. Not any other options so she can be how & what she wants, if you want a rental! She was emphatic the in order to get a ride back to depot we had to arrive back by 11. We get there at "11" because your short handed ONLY to be told just go to Train Station and they'll recover from there.....which is what we just called to do! So we wasted 30-40 mins driving there/Healy and then back when we started in Denali (10 mins) from Train station! Very annoying! Was gonna charge us $50 to do this(recover vehicle from depot)....We need to dispute the total and deduct $50 from our charges! 3 star but added another for "Bart" he picked us up and and he was pleasant & full of information that we actually used! Keys to Denali is the absolute best car rental service I have ever had the opportunity to rent from. We were in a tight spot and our transportation fell through. I spoke with Bart at the train depot and he was able to hook us up with a car. He had a van packed full of people but came back and picked us up in our rental car. He was also a very nice guy and dropped us off at the train depot and even got our bags on the train when it was time to leave. I wish more businesses were run like this one. They also have a bed and breakfast which I wish we could have stayed in. I recommend to everyone! read more

Keys to Denali is a wonderful car rental service. In addition to a vehicle (with heated seats by the way), the owners were kind enough to arrange seats on the train for us from Fairbanks to Denali and a return to Fairbanks in a shuttle! They also had many lodging, food and excursion recommendations which helped as we were planning our trip. When we returned the car we accidently left our cameral in a hidden compartment in the vehicle. Before we even knew the camera was missing, they contacted us and arranged to mail it to our home since we had already left the Denali area and were scheduled to fly out of Fairbanks that night. The camera arrived to our home unscathed within a few days. Now that's great customer service! read more

Rented a cadillac sedan from Keys to Denali to accommodate 5 family members traveling together, including my disabled mother. We were very comfortable and had lots of room for luggage and the walker. Ann and Terry were very accommodating - picking us up and delivering us back to the train station as well as helpful with recommendations for places to eat, things to do in the area. We liked having the car for the 2 days in Denali and the freedom to choose where to eat and go. Their dome home B&B also looks inviting, although we stayed elsewhere, but learned they could have accommodated our need for handicap accessible room/bathroom/house. Riding the train to Denali and then having the car for the few days there was the perfect combination for us! read more

It's nice to have a car rental available and delivery service to bring the car to you but it comes at a very very steep price. The cars I saw were nice vehicles. The owner is passive aggressive and seemed very easily agitated especially in the morning. She warns you about speeding which is nice but we saw 1 cop in 8 days. I don't think speeding is truly an issue in AK - I think you should be more concerned about hitting a moose. She did have a lot of knowledge about the area and shared it matter of factly. If you are returning a vehicle to her and need a ride somewhere make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there. Because this is probably the only place to rent a car its pretty much a non choice if you want a car for your trip. On the other hand her husband who runs the B&B at their home seemed to be a very nice guy. He doesn't deal with the car rentals. read more

Although we did not stay with Ann and Terry at their Denali Dome Home B&B, we were given their contact information for getting a rental car. Ann picked us up from our hotel, gave us a little guided tour of Healy to allow us to get our bearings, and then took us to pick up the car. She offered binoculars, walking sticks, and coolers too! She took us back to the train depot after returning the car, and since the train was more than an hour late, she took us to look for moose rather than just dropping us off! We located a moose cow and her calf and were able to get great pictures. I cannot say enough about the personal service and hospitality she provided.
