Do not move here if your looking for a luxurious place to stay! Pretty on the outside, but it's like living in the projects! The apartments are infested with bugs. The neighbors are allowed to run, stomp, and jump all times of the day & night! Rent is high, but when u complain about a problem to management they seem to point fingers at you! The property smells like dog poop because no one is made to pick up behind the dogs! You cannot use the grills because of the strong dog poop smell!! read more

Being right off the highway lots of truckers and dealers coming in and out all hours of the night. Drag racing and 18 wheelers will wake you up! Also management does not enforce noice complaints! I had a horrible experience living here. Problems with AC and water leaks and then excess moisture in the apartment caused mold all over my personal belongings. They were willing to fix the moisture problem but blew me off about the mold. They couldn't guarantee me this was a safe and healthy living environment. Since my roommate and I had both been sick with sinus issues we decided it wasn't so they were nice enough to let us out of our lease the same day. Beautiful modern apartment complex. As far as aesthetics are concerned this is a nice place. As far as the area, terrible place to live. I have lived here for 13 months and I will be moving out next month after my 14 month lease is over. Not only is my rent increasing from $1100 to $1350. But EVERY SINGLE DAY I have lived over here I have heard garbage trucks and 18 wheelers slamming garbage cans and banging noises. And although this may not sound like a big deal trust me it will drive you crazy. The trucks start at about 5am and go all the way until about 12pm. Not only will it wake you up but if you have children they will be woken up out of their sleep on a daily. I have had a major issue with gnats and pest control did spray a couple of times but that did not do anything and the leasing office hasn't done any more investigating to try to see where they're coming from. They kind of just said oh well and I had to find/fix the problem myself which I still haven't found out what's causing them. Friendly staff. During the summer the pool is always over crowded with kids. Like 15+ kids at a time it's really not relaxing cause kids are splashing running and playing (unsupervised). My stay was okay here 7.5/10 but my main reason for moving is because of the excessive loud banging noises from outside. I'm on the 3rd floor so nobody is above me. read more

We rented a one bedroom apartment for a short term 6 month lease while we were building a house. We immediately started calling about bugs in the apartment as soon as we moved in and we were told they could not come in to the apartment due to Covid. This went on for 3 months...until we started seeing roaches in the digital clock in the stove. We raised hell and they finally came in and sprayed and removed the stove. The management team is non responsive and I would NEVER recommend this place. It is noisy and sketchy people walk around. If I could, I would attach roach pictures on here so that you all know too stay the hell away from this complex!!! read more

If you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood and management who cares, look elsewhere. Entire stay in this apartment has been a nightmare. Loud neighbors above, dog barking at all hours of the night. I have complained to management and they have done absolutely nothing. Walls are paper thin, you hear everything. I had leak recently which has now resulted in an increased presence of gnats. Apartment complex has really gone down over the years. Can't wait to vacate. read more

I would not recommend moving in here anytime soon, they are doing a lot of construction that is extremely loud and disturbing throughout the entire day starting around 7-8 in the morning. Extremely inconvenient and nothing you can do about it. read more

Can't rely on the integrity of the office staff to accurately provide vital info. even when you ask directly and also they refuse to answer my emails. If you enjoy living in a safe environment please don't choose Keystone at Mebane Oaks. When we first moved here it was all very nice however recently they have let just about anyone move in. Loud cars race in and out of the apartments at all times of the night. They allow truckers to part right out front and idle all night long. I have caught people looking into cars. The list really goes on. When this was brought to the managers attention she said she knows and that she wasn't worried about our concerns. I have also made several noise complaints because our upstairs neighbors sound like they are throwing bowling balls on the floor all of the time and again management hasn't even addressed the concern. Also management has also decided to go against N.C. phase 2 operations and is refusing to open the amenities including the pool. I would not recommend living here. read more

What ever you do , DO NOT move to keystone at Mebane oaks . It will seem so nice at first but there's mold issues they refuse to fix roaches & they SUCK as management . Almost everyone is moving out because it SUCKS ! DO NOT MOVE HERE ! I'm a current tenant so this should say a lot . I've got threatened to be evicted over garbage . When my brothers were here for a week after my brother died we got threatened with eviction because of " too many foot traffic " in MY APARTMENT . They take pictures of my brothers and I as we walk in our apartment as if we are doing anything wrong ! To put the icing on the cake they have residents that Harass you over specific dog breeds I have my neighbors threaten to call the office because my sisters pitbull was visiting with her . This is a very nice and new apartment complex. They have all of the high-end finishes that person would want. My friend's apartment also includes a washer and dryer, Gourmet Kitchen, and very spacious bathroom. One downfall is that the internet can be spotty at times. I recommend. Resort living. read more

Many things happened at our time while living here. First the dehumidifier in the apartment started leaking and got all over the place, but they actually did send someone to come fix that. Neighbors were very loud above us (like stomping all night, banging sounds, and yelling) and Keystone would not do anything about it when we would call them the next day. They kept a lot of things closed even after the mandate was lifted and everything everywhere else was opening up. We had multiple things stolen out of our vehicle out there during the night. They had no cameras out there on there parking lot or anything and they were no help to us about it. Finally with about 3-4 months left of us being out there our wifi slowed down tremendously. It got to the point where the wireless connection wifi would barely work and it was barely useable. A 2 hour movie would simply turn into a 3 hour movie because of how many time it would stop and buffer. The wired LAN Ethernet connection just stopped working all together. That was a huge problem for us because we worked from home on different occasions and i'm in college doing it all online. Keystone would not help us out at all with it, they said that they had nothing to do with it and we would have to contact spectrum directly. Even though Spectrum was contracted through Keystone and the apartment complex Keystone still would not help us out in anyway. I proceeded to call Spectrum about the issue and they would not help either, i called multiple times and was given a ticket number for it and was told that someone would give me a call about it and it never happened. I believe i called a total of 5 different times about the situation and it never got resolved. We soon moved out about 2-3 months early just to get out of that mess of a place it was. read more

This is the best apartment and complex I've lived in! The staff are super friendly and helpful. I have had zero maintenance issues. I love all of the modern finishes and have plenty of space. The community is very pet friendly and in the perfect location. You get lots of bang for your buck. I'd recommend Keystone to anyone moving to Mebane! read more

I gave this complex a 3 because of the quality of the apartment and because what is advertised about the modern touch is actually provided. However, the noise levels of 3rd floor resident and a next door neighbor makes it hard not to wish that you could abort your lease without any extra charges. Speaking of, it costs so much sooo much to relocate to another unit even though you're the one being inconvenienced. Maintenance does well with responding to your service requests. The PM is pleasant and easy to work with but if you have an appointment, I encourage you to send a follow up email a few minutes before... the rent increased by $90 after living here for 1 year, but of course we had to stay because who wants to find somewhere to live in a short 30 day timeframe. I think some sort of a warning would have been nice. The lawn and streets are kept clean and nice looking! There's plenty of parking for residents and guests. I'd stay longer only if I could be guaranteed that the rent increase won't be so drastic! I mean, there has to be some sort of heads up or perk if you renew maybe 2 months prior to the end of your contract. read more
