They refaced the original 1954 cabinets, installed new drawers and replaced a closet with a floor-to-ceiling cabinet. Djafer did the installation. He worked through several problems with me, always assured my complete satisfaction. The painters were excellent too. Keystone kitchens did a wonderful job on the design and insulation. But their subcontractors not so good. The people that put the flooring in were very young and untrained. They were sanding cement off the floor and did not put any plastic up over the doorway. The dust went downstairs and made my parrot very sick. $400 vet bill. Then the electrician unplugged my garage freezer and I didn't notice for quite a while. When I opened it up everything was ruined. They didn't want to reimburse me for that but they finally did. I have been having trouble with one of the bathroom ceiling fans that the same electric company installed. It never worked properly. The steam stayed in the bathroom even though it was on. I finally had someone come today to replace it. They had not hooked up any of the ductwork that was in the attic and so everything was being vented right in to that space. They didn't remove the old fan they just tossed it into the attic. I had to buy a new one just like the old one, that was only one year old, and had someone install it properly for another $400. So my advice to you is get your own electricians and floor installers that you know will do a good job. Don't use keystone's. read more

Keystone re-faced many of our kitchen cabinets and replaced others-- presenting some "hybrid design" challenges. The craftsmanship of the cabinets was excellent. Rami, who did the installation was excellent. Would have given Keystone 5 except communication and scheduling were not well coordinated. Certain design decisions got lost in translation resulting in some delays and re-do's-- and requiring escalation to a generally responsive management team. When issues came up afterwords, they were responsive and stand behind their work. Would consider using them again for a bathroom project. read more

We chose Keystone Kitchens to update our 1989 kitchen, and are very pleased with the results. Susan helped use with the initial planning and was great with information and suggestions. Easy to work with and had a lot of options to choose from. Planned additional cabinets, as well as replacements for some original ones of the era. Steve, the design engineer, did the layout and provided computer generated drawings of what the completed work would look like. We had to make a change to a small cabinet, and he designed a pullout spice rack. Great guy to work with. Jason was our lead installer. He tore out the countertops, refaced the old cabinets, installed some new ones, installed new moldings. He also did our appliance installations along with a downdraft vent for our new range. He is very job oriented and particular in his work. Everything laid out in order and all work noted and recorded. Had help through the project from a number of other installers, ( Terell, Danial, Raymone, Raymond, Mike) and was very good at explaining how things were to be done. We hired Keystone kitchens to remodel the extremely outdated and dysfunctional kitchen in the second house we purchased in Woodinville in 2 years. We had hired them to reface the kitchen in the first house we bought which we ended up flipping. We received multiple offers and sold over asking due in large part to the first kitchen they remodeled for us, which turned out absolutely beautiful! When we found our lake house, the kitchen made ya so sad but we knew who we could call to fix it! This go around we worked with Denise Delaney, instead of Chris the owner. We were nervous but he delivered a beautiful and functional design. I'm a cook so having flow and a useful design was as important as aesthetics! Not only did Denise deliver a beautiful design, but it was functional and made excellent use of the space and the funky position of the kitchen in the center of the house. He also talked us into keeping a wall and building around it which I'm so glad we did! He was able to point out things that we didn't think of that made so much sense! Maximizing our views of the lake while still giving us the cabinet space that a cooks cook requires. Josh Roberts was our project and did an excellent job executing the design. Not only was his craftsmanship on par, but he was able to tweak things as needed, as we rolled out our design plan while also keeping in mind how we were likely to utilize the space most effectively. This was important because we had lost a good bit of cabinet space in order to open up a wall to allow for optimal lake views from every angle. Due to the costume cabinets and thoughtful placement we more than made up for any lost storage space which was a huge concern of ours! Our beautiful new kitchen is the perfect marriage of form and function. Keystone takes care of its customers before, during and after the job. With their 5 year warranty, I've already called Josh to come tweak a few things. He returns my calls promptly and skyways takes care of the request in a timely fashion. I appreciate that they followed up on my request for an estimate, but without even looking at our space, or how big our kitchen even is, I was told that a kitchen remodel would be at least $70k. We are in the process of gathering estimates, but I felt talked down to. He said "oh, your home is a split level.... I've done 100s of homes like this and. Based on what you are saying to want to do, it will cost $70k" - our phone conversation was about 5 minutes. Even if it does end up costing that much, we won't be using keystone kitchens because it seems like they could care less about our project/business. Update: The owner, Chris, went above and beyond to make up for his employees mistake. He was apologetic and came out to our house and did a consultation himself. I really appreciate that. We are still waiting to hear from a few other companies, but are definitely considering using Keystone as a possibility for our remodel. read more

She spent time to understand our needs, what options we have and what the next steps were. It was very informative and Susan was absolutely friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was expecting to have some options to choose from but no, there was just one drawing. I'd like to preface this review by stating that this review does not involve the actual contracting work from Keystone Kitchens (based on other Yelp reviews and a referral, I'm sure they do wonderful work). Rather, this account is based on my experience with their sales staff. All of it could just be plain old bad luck, so don't let this put you off doing business with them, but rather if you recognize the same pattern in your dealings, you might want to avoid wasting any time. I have a pretty standard apartment kitchen that I wanted to renovate (cabinet doors replaced, and quartz countertop installed). We didn't know exactly what we wanted yet, other than chocolate brown cabinet doors. A member of their staff came to take measurements and came back with an estimate of $15,255. We felt this was a reasonable price, so we decided to go to the store to select the materials (expecting that the price might increase some based on our sI'd like to preface this review by stating that this review does not involve the actual contracting work from Keystone Kitchens (based on other Yelp reviews and a referral, I'm sure they do wonderful work). When visiting the store, the person working didn't have any ideas on what materials we were quoted for, and just presented a whole bunch of different woods and quartz with no pricing. After pushing back a bit and asking what style they generally quote for, she managed to narrow it down to some mid range woods and quartz, so we attempted to select something close to that. After our visit, we received an email stating that there would actually be a 0.5% condo surcharge that wasn't accounted for initially. I had never heard of a condo surcharge. Given that 0.5% of $15,255 is only $76, I decided not to push back too much, but wasn't entirely sure why it was even a line item at that price. A follow up email came with the new price, $17,641 which is a $2386 jump from what we were initially quoted, yikes! I pushed back asking why there was such a large price difference, and I was told the condo surcharge, getting stained wood (note that from the beginning we told them we wanted a dark wood) and our selection of quartz. At this point I wanted to see what exactly we're paying $2386 for, so I asked the sales person to let the shop know what the original materials was that I was quoted for. She came back and apologized in that she made a mistake with the condo surcharge, it wasn't actually 0.5%, but rather 5%. I can see how dealing with decimals and percentages could get confusing so I let that go, but still wanted to see what she initially quoted us for. I then got another email stating that she made a mistake in entering our details, and that the price is now actually down to $16,034 for our selection (much more in line with what I was expecting). My wife still wanted to double check the wood selection. I then asked about getting a quote for getting a separate bar top replaced with quartz, at which point I got a response back saying that the fabricator informed them that he missed some counter top footage and that there would be a price increase (hopefully not much). I don't believe there's anything complex or hidden about our countertop. She told us she would get back to us with the price increase before our shop visit. The morning of our second shop visit, I got another email saying the new pricing hadn't come through yet, but a contract was included to get our wood cabinet doors done, and that she recommended we sign that and then they can do the countertop as an addendum. I turned down the offer and said I'd like to see final pricing before signing anything. The final price came back at $17,191 excluding the bar top (so no spec changes on our side). I told them I'm willing to sign for their initially quoted $16,034, outlining their long list of pricing errors and which point they said they don't negotiate. Thank God I didn't sign the wood cabinet door contract! At the end of this, I'm still not sure if this was bad luck, incompetence or a deliberate bait and switch. Having multiple price increases happening based on data theyve had since day one stings the same regardless of cause. If you do decide to deal with Keystone, walk away if you start seeing anything like the above happening. read more

It's amazing how one person can remodel a kitchen all by himself with great outcome and quality! Josh is a jack of all trades in this area and with his professionalism, workmanship and friendly personality makes him complete the job seemed effortlessly. You can see how happy he is at what he does as it reflects on his work! It took him a little over 4 weeks to complete since he was just by himself but it's worth the wait! He even work extra on weekends to help speed things up. I love my newly remodeled kitchen and would definitely recommend Keystone Kitchens to anyone planning to do a remodel. It's always hard to find a contractor that is honest and puts customer satisfaction ahead of profit. We had Keystone kitchens do our kitchen remodeling about 10 years ago and We couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and customer service. I called couple of weeks ago asking where I could purchase soft closure hinges and to my surprise they offered to order the parts and replace them for me at no charge. That's unheard of... Missy and Sean responded quickly to my request and in couple of days when the item arrived John showed up Promptly and masked up to install the slow closures. I'm a novice when it comes to kitchen and interior design. Susan Wittenbrink was sooooo helpful in the planning of my kitchen refacing, countertop, back splash, and under-cabinet lighting!!! With her help, I chose a tuxedo style kitchen (espresso-stained cherry wood lower cabinets and painted white upper cabinets). I also selected a beautiful blanc du blanc granite that pulled it all together, with my existing tile floor (that had a lot of color/pattern to it). Total lack of communication and transparency with this company. A 4-5 week project turned into a 9 week unpleasant experience due to a 2 week delay, 4 day work weeks, Christmas holidays and extra marked up expenses that were not expected and told about. Were told to provide a space for the workers to put their tools and for work space. Provided an open 2 car garage for them but they still proceeded to cut wood and create a dust mess in the house even though they were asked not to do it due to asthma related health concerns. Lack of attention to detail on things that should have been given attention for example, installing cabinet hardware straight and not crooked, removing glue, caulking areas properly with no gaps etc. The biggest problem was the lack of communication from the very beginning. Once we signed our contract and met with the engineer we heard nothing about anything till a few days before the project start date that ultimately was delayed due to the lack of staffing, and the engineer dragging his feet on our job. Trust and communication is huge when working with people that are in your home etc. I felt there was no communication and because of that there was no more trust in anything that was said to us. Made for a miserable 9 week experience. They shouldnt be taking on more projects if they cant get the staffing to do the work or they shouldnt be scheduling unrealistic time frames they cannot meet. We are getting close to finishing out a "reface" project with Keystone kitchens. I have to say the installers, Joel and Ben have been *exceptional* and the highlight of the process. The amount of detail they put into their work is crazy, they consult with me on placement of handles etc, give a summary each day of the work they accomplished AND they clean up daily. We hired Keystone Kitchens to do a complete remodel of our kitchen. I'll start by saying that my husband and I are no easy clients. We are perfectionists and care about every detail. We have high expectations for all the contractors we work with. We interviewed many local remodel companies (the best of best) and talked to different designers but after meeting with Dennis couple times, we knew we wanted Keystone. They were very professional, knowledgeable and had lots of great ideas on how to improve our small kitchen. The design process was fun and seemed so easy. Dennis was always available to answer our emails filled with detailed questions from people who never did a kitchen remodel before. He always answered every single one. We also had a copy of all designs that we shared with family members to get more feedback. At the end, we met with Chris to finalize the design. His experience and professionalism were mind-blowing. We knew we had the right guys. The construction phase took about 2 months. It was a little bit longer than we estimated (5-6 weeks) but Keystone also oversaw HVAC upgrades in our dining room, lighting improvements in our living room and new floor installation. They even managed everything while we were on vacation first couple weeks. As any project of this size, there were many bumps on the road. Keystone was here to address every single concern we had. When we complained about the quality of the seam on our new white countertop, they took it seriously and even took the countertop off to make sure pieces were glued together correctly and the final product looked good. I want to say that what we LOVE most about Keystone is that they go above and beyond customer expectations. Since buying our house, we had a chance to work with many contractors and I'll be honest, majority of them do their job and never look back. Keystone is all about making their customers happy. They never let us down. Whether we wanted our drawers perfectly aligned or needed extra shelves for our cabinets, they did it for us. They helped us with every single detail. Other random thoughts? All their contractors are professionals with great attention to detail. Everybody in Keystone is really nice and considerate of your family needs during the remodel. They clean up after themselves every day. Billing is clear. Cabinets are custom made - maximizing the space and ideal for small kitchens. Any issues are addressed promptly. The quality of our new kitchen is superior and the look is fantastic. We couldn't be happier. We will definitely recommend Keystone to all our friends and co-workers. read more

After vetting bathroom remodeling design and contracting firms, we chose Keystone. We previously worked with Ronda, the designer of our kitchen and loved the work she did. Ronda helped us again with the bathroom, selecting tiles, cabinets, etc. We wanted to remain true to our mid-century style and Ronda understood this. Garren was the remodel lead. Giving them 2 stars based solely on the product they delivered. John was our installer and did a fantastic job, when he had the materials. He kept us informed and was always willing to make things right with us. His attention to detail and knowledge kept me wanting to continue with this company. Feb 2017 At the start, the first visit with Susan (owner) in the showroom was good. She showed us around and gave us many options on what we could go with. Since we had already been looking and doing our research, we decided to go ahead and make the payment to have them start the process. March 22nd 2017 After Susan and Bror (project manager) came to our home to do our measurements and consultation, we all went over the expectations and made sure everything was to our liking. Again, we made another payment, and that was the last time we saw Bror. They said it would be about 6 weeks before the project May 30th 2017 Finally the start day. This almost didn't happen as Bror communicated with my wife via email it will not be a problem and then promptly called i believe the day before the project and said it was going to be the 1st week in June instead. We prepped the whole weekend to get ready and this was the notice we get??? Luckily we kept the emails and got Chris and Susan involved and we had John here the day that was already discussed. it was pretty much pointless, as they already had him on a job so he literally came over and made contact with us. Took the doors off and didn't see him until the next day. Again, not his fault as he's doing as he was told. Payment was made again... Our project was supposed to take about 14 days to complete, but due to parts not being here, we were delayed. At this point, we have already paid about $7k of project and mid way through the project, we don't have parts. Not sure if Bror was responsible, but if he's the PM, by default it falls on him. Numerous things not done, no communication from anyone on the status...unless we called/emailed in. June 29th 2017 This was our walk through with Chris and he came out began to walk and ensure everything was up to his satisfaction and ours. While i thought i caught everything, his eye caught a few more things, which i was grateful for. A things, but they were all minor. He promptly asked for payment and that was the 1st and last time we have seen him. August 30th, 2017 Finally, our project for our small 15x20' kitchen is now complete with a new island. It looks amazing. The materials and the installer is great, but communication from the main players you should have the communication from is well below average. During one of my conversations with Chris, he stated to me that things happen during construction. I completely get that as the business that I am in, things happen and you have to overcome and work through it. But the sole difference would have been keeping us in the loop and letting us feel that we do matter to them and they care about our project. We had already given them a referral and their project which started a couple weeks after ours, finished sometime back in July.....While they gave us a referral discount, we had to ask them about it as again, they didn't just give it to us. The other project we gave them was over the $20k range mind you. $250 is nothing.... This is probably one of the worst experiences from a customer service standpoint i have ever had. While i missed alot of other things, i think you all get the gist of how my experience went. Good luck! read more
