Okay, it's KFC. Their chicken pies are really good. We aren't cooking much anymore so once so once or twice a month we pick them up. They are always fresh and hot. I like their cole slaw too. This is the worst KFC I've ever been to. The last time I was there, they left out all my biscuits and gravy. I realized this after I got home and began fixing my children's plates. I immediately called and was told I had to pack up the entire order and take it back to get a refund. I told them I just wanted to come get the biscuits and gravy. This isn't an option I was told. All they can do is take the entire order back and refund my money or I can contact the owners directly and see what they will do. I contacted the owner and told them the situation and they asked me what I wanted them to do. I told them I was just looking to get refunded for the missing items. They sent me two certificates for free individual meals, which I appreciated. When I went to use one of the certificates, they would not take my order and said I would have to come inside and show the manager what the certificate was, as if they've never seen anything like this before. After taking food to our family lunch I realized they messed up the order and forgot to give the nugget combo, fries and nugs, they gave me the soda on arrival. Wasn't going to drive back with 7 people waiting for lunch so we just spread the food around that we had. My autistic nephew is a picky eater and it was his meal that was forgot but we gave him multiple biscuits and chicken tenders. My mother went back to the store to get the missing food so he would have some for dinner and they refused to replace the missing items and told her to call a number for complaints. So I placed a mobile order on the KFC app for pickup today at 5 PM Since I am a senior citizen I went to the drive thru to get my order only to be told that the company policy is you have to go inside to pickup your order. Not sure which corporate moron thought that was a good idea. So after I drove around front and went inside, even though I had just spoken to the drive thru person. I stood there in an empty store and waited for the crew to wander out of the back room and being told hey we'll be with you in a few. When they finally acknowledged me and asked what I wanted I pointed to my order sitting on the shelf next to the drive thru window telling them that was my order. Which they handed to me So WTF is the need for me to come inside to get my stuff because it's a mobile order, if I order from the box in the drive thru do I then have to go inside to pick it up? I can honestly say I have not been to KFC in over five years and I won't be back the chicken pieces we got were terrible half breaded and dry. Never again!!!! I received a coupon flyer in the mail, and of course, it got me thinking about the wonderful KFC chicken, when I decided to go grab dinner rather than make it, grabbed the coupon for a $20 KFC taster dinner. When I was ordering, I was told that they weren't a franchise and that the coupons weren't good there. OK, so a few dollars more, I was hungry and could smell the chicken. Got my food, went home, and opened to a surprise. I ordered the original recipe, but it was three shades too dark of the battery crust. Over cooked, crust falling off, so it wasn't double battered. Greasy meat, with the center under cooked. I put local honey on the biscuit, took a bite, and indie spit it out. The biscuit wasn't rancid. The Mac n cheese had no flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were over salted, and the Cole slaw was watery. The best thing about the entire meal was the French fries I substituted for the corn. Can't imagine what that would have been like. Not wanting to take the chance of food poisoning, I tossed the rest of it all in the trash. My husband and I ordered KfC from the drive through this evening. I'm pregnant and have been craving mashed potatoes and gravy!!! When we got home, unfortunately, my gravy was left out of our order. My husband drove back to get it for me and the new manager there, Eric, gave him not only my gravy, but 2 other large sides of mashed potatoes and gravy! I had a great experience at this KFC location. I'm never happy about, as time goes by, how portions shrink as prices grow, but that's not just KFC; it's everywhere. This is one of the very few KFC's left with a buffet. Which makes it unique. The restaurant is pretty clean. It's not huge, but it's not cramped either. The bathrooms smell all the time. I have no idea what causes it, nor do I really want to know. Employees are hit and miss on the competency scale. The cashiers are typically warm and friendly. The ones cooking the food and stocking the buffet line are a whole different story. They are rude and hostile. Employees make any restaurant great, and unfortunately this one misses the mark a lot of the time. They don't always keep the buffet stocked with chicken, so if you want something specific, the employees can get really rude about accommodating it. It's not somewhere I go often, as there are KFC's everywhere. But like I said, the buffet makes it unique, and it fills my husband up. So I can definitely say it's worth my money when I take him. Not surprised to see the reviews here are so low. New to the area and decided it would be clever to do deliveries to earn a little extra cash while learning the area and businesses. It's been wonderful so far, people are generally lovely in this area. When this order came in the instructions had drive thru services listed FIRST and then additional instructions if busy. They weren't busy... in fact during the whole time I was there 2 people came into the lobby and NONE came through the drive thru. Most of the cars in the lot were employees cars (counted 6 employees inside). The drive thru had NO cars so went through drive thru. Waited to be attended to. Finally someone came over the intercom and asked us to wait longer. Ok, not a big problem so far. Finally another person came on and asked us for our order. I told them the order name and instead of just handing it to me and, if there was truly a problem using the drive thru, kindly handing us the order and telling us their PREFERRED method of pick up for NEXT TIME (and fix the instructions on the app, kfc) they asked me to pull around and come in... DURING COVID. I came in and saw 5 employees all standing around and milling about and chatting with each other.... while ONE was putting orders together. The order was all ready to go minus the drinks... drinks are by the drive thru window! I told them the order AGAIN and added, "you guys forget that drivers are also customers or potential customers." Ive been hearing about businesses attitudes with drivers... like they're nonpeople... this was my first experience with it. A manager jumped my throat and exclaimed, "No! you're an employee! What's your name?!" (One... actually we're independent contractors and as such we also have the right to NOT take any orders from businesses or customers that we don't want (usually it's experiences like this and more)... this KFC is now on that list for me. I was just mildly irritated but when the manager made the implied threat was she was going to "have my job", I was livid. I told them report me, I didn't care. Common sense and common courtesy is for ALL.... and having been a business owner myself I know that it's best to keep in mind that any public contact is *customer contact*, this is especially true for fast food. Another manager with a clip board tried to take my license plates too. Way to flex, Lol The food had already been bagged up and ready to go, but they then proceeded to take their sweet time getting the drinks just to spite me and hold me up longer. Power trip much? So this is only the second time that I have gotten any food at any restaurant since the pandemic started so I was hoping it would be good. But OMG! This was one of the worst meals that I have ever eaten. First off for my meal I got a 5pc chicken tender meal... the chicken tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamps too long and were rubbery, the mashed potatoes were like there wasn't enough gravy the coleslaw was warm (yuck) The only edible this was the biscuit. Then another mistake to my husband's meal. What I ordered was the 3piece (White) chicken box but I got the Dark 3piece box (at least I was charged for the dark meal). Luckily he will eat the dark meat (I hate dark meat) also his mashed potatoes were lacking gravy also and half of the bottom of his biscuit was missing. This meal was a total disappointment.. So I got in the drive through line. It was long-ish. But not insane. The issue wasn't the amount of cars. But the SLOW speed of the line. I sat there for 15 minutes before we moved one car forward. After another 10 minutes of waiting, the guy in front of me in line got out of his car to ask me to back up so he can leave. He said he'd been waiting for almost 30 minutes and hadn't been able to order yet. I followed suit and left. I never had this issue at the Corvallis location. Albany needs to get its shit together. So when you think of any food service establishment you think they pretty much have one job, have the food they sell available for customers. Particularly at dinner time, especially if it's an advertised special. Right? But this particular KFC doesn't seem to subscribe to this philosophy. Now I don't mind waiting for the food to be prepared but what I was told there was to come back and try again later. I suggested that I pay and they bring the food to me when it was ready but they didn't want to do that. So no food AND no customer service! So no shit, there I was! I pulled into this location with the hopes of getting some overpriced golden goodness. The drive through was backed up like 8 to 9 cars in front of me. (And backing up behind me fast as well). I Had nothing to do, nowhere to go. So I waited! 30 minutes later I finally got to the ordering post. After being greeted the asked to wait I made my order once prompted to do so. I ordered an 8 piece, only to be told it would be another 45 minute wait! If you know your backed up and super busy during this pandemic time, at least have the courtesy to put someone outside to inform customers the wait could be even longer so they can go somewhere else and not wait for Nothing. There is no real excuse for this kind of asshattery even during this time. And yes I left and went elsewhere only to wait just as long. But I got my order there! Time is precious during this time.
