This KFC was across the way combined with a Taco Bell as many others I've run across decided after some time to keep them separate. This location has $5 deals so I got a 2pc chicken and side doesn't come with a drink which is 2.99 or something and you get a Taco Bell cup . I liked this place because the service was immediate, the decor and ambiance was colorful, different than others , cleaned and a unique style inside. It was your regular original recipe chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and a biscuit. Nothing to write home about. The decor is what drew me in honestly . And to see how things were before times changed was pretty cool not everyone has this set up. Overall I'd return tho because the original chicken is STILL my Favorite Chicken

Chicken Pot Pie

Today is a lazy day no voting, so I decided something quick and wholesome would do. I decided the KFC in Kingstown chicken pot pie is usually a good choice. Today hunky not so much and this is not the first of such review. Can you say dry, cold, unappealing, careless and management must be crap to allow such food to be served to the public. They need to really step it up and improve or shut the location down. The inside was in much need if attention and won't even talk about dirty bathrooms, its like the entire place need a overhaul and under new management, so many out here just to collect a check and not attentive or aware of what they serve the public. I wish their corporate would contact me so I can share my experiences for me or others. I not sure if the chain is going down but definitely this location. Check your management to see if they are doing their job because the proof is not in the food. I wish I didn't live so far I would have marched right back to management if there was any or a refund!

Kentucky Fried Chicken is based out of Louisville, KY, and they're famous for the Original Recipe that was thought up by Colonel Sanders. The menu offers chicken (buckets), chicken tenders, popcorn nuggets, sandwiches, sides (mashed potatoes, cole slaw, mac & cheese, wedges, etc.), 'Classics' (the Famous Bowl and the Pot Pie), and combinations/$5 deals. I'm so surprised at such low reviews of this KFC location! I've been here a few times for their drive-thru as well as their carry-out, and the service has been pretty friendly. I'm a fan of their Kentucky Grilled Chicken (the wings!), as it has a nice grilled taste and always juicy; their Hot Wings are also nice and crispy, and great with KFC's hot sauce (remember to get it fresh off the fryer and get tons of the hot sauce packets!); with their sides, I've always enjoyed their creamy refreshing cole slaw (can eat buckets of these) as well as their creamy mashed potatoes & gravy :D I recently tried their Pot Pie $5 meal, which came with a chocolate chip cookie and a medium-sized drink - the Pot Pie had a nice flaky buttery crust, and filled with dark and white chicken chunks, potatoes, peas, and carrots, all in a nice creamy sauce - it was piping hot and it was pretty alright (maybe it could have more of the filling, though)! If you're a fan and/or are interested, you can check out KFC's site to download a free e-book of Colonel Sander's autobiography/recipe book :D Also a side note: National Fried Chicken Day is July 6th :D +Kentucky Grilled Chicken (wings) +Hot Wings (request 'off the fryer' & don't forget the hot sauce!) +cole slaw +mashed potatoes & gravy +get a free copy of Colonel Sander's autobiography/recipe e-book, off of their website! :D +in the Kingstowne Center plaza; connected to Taco Bell

Came here after my worxout to get some grilled chicken. I had to wait 20 minutes for them to cook it. They offered me the original instead so I wouldn't have to wait, but I just had a good workout and didn't want it to all go to waste. I was going to do the drive through but the line was long. I ordered: -grilled chicken is juicy (I put fire taco sauce on it to add more spice) -beans are of course canned and I just couldn't finish them -coleslaw is the best -biscuit is fluffy and good and I only ate half of it Overall, courteous staff and easy ordering. Just let me know how long my chicken is going to be, isn't this fast food?

It's late at night and we're driving home after doing grocery shopping when the crowds are gone. The hubcap wants to eat fast food out of the blue. Unfortunately, all the fast food places have dismal reviews except for two in this area. Plus, most of them are closed at that time. This is how we found Southern Style Chicken & Waffle. It closes at midnight and has southern food, my husband's favorite type of home style food. He loves mama's casseroles and mac and cheese due to being raised in the Deep South. It, also, had one of his favorite foods: waffle. Plus it is on the way. We head out there and notice an almost empty strip mall. Creepy but the neon sign said it was open. The place was empty & clean yet the opening of the door sent an alert ring for the staff to come out. I was impressed that you could have a waffle as a side with some of the entrees. I was tempted to order fried chicken until I saw the catfish on the menu. I ordered it with a side of mac and cheese to give to the job cap. He ordered the chicken sandwich with mac n cheese. We got it as takeout. The portions they give you are huge when compared to other fast food places. I got three large catfish fillets and a giant side of mac and cheese for $13.49. I wish I had ordered a larger portion after tasting the catfish fillet. You could instantly taste how it was prepared fresh - definitely not frozen. The fish was light ,succulent, and had a melt in your mouth texture. This is not the catfish you ate at a church fish fry. This catfish is exponentially better. The chicken sandwich was two chicken patties in a sandwich similar to chick fil a sandwich. I tasted it and thought it was better. My husband preferred chick fil a though. He really loved my catfish and my mac and cheese. I gave him all the mac and cheese. I split my three catfish fillets into two meals. Service was great. The server told us the catfish was Asian catfish and served it to me the way he preferred it: side of lemon with seasoning sauces on the side . He gave us a heads up that they cook the food fresh and it would take 15 minutes. We didn't mind the wait and waited patiently. We will definitely come back and order catfish, waffles, mac and cheese, and fried chicken when we come here. This is one our favorite late night go see fast food places. I love that it stays open late and has the best catfish I ever had in my life.

My first memory of Jollibee's, a Filipino-based chain, was from Southcenter in Seattle, where I discovered their very good fried chicken. The Seattle location was wildly popular, and so is this Alexandria outlet. So practically speaking, due to the popularity, it may take some time for your order to be prepared. Be patient! The kiosks help with getting your order in, but when I used the kiosk, it errored out when I tried to order a fountain Pepsi. That's OK, I'd rather have Coke anyway, which they do not have at Jollibee's. Even though chicken is Jollibee's specialty, I wanted to try the Angus Cheeseburger. I also ordered an Ube pie. The burger was pretty good. The bun was great and so were the toppings. But unfortunately, the meat was salty as all get out. I don't know if that was a one-off experience or that's how they do their burgers. I have very fond recollections of Ube ice cream in the Filipino halo-halo dessert, so I had high hopes for Jollibee's Ube pie. It was nice that they heat their Ube pies. The crust is very good. But the Ube filling was disappointing. It had zilch Ube flavor and was kinda runny. Still, I'm glad there's a Jollibee's here in NoVA (there's also one in Chantilly).

Thanks Wooboi for the great chicken!…read more I was in the area working. I did a quick 5 mile run along the Potomac River. I saw this place and decided to try it. The menu is straight forward. Chicken sandwich, tenders a burrito, fries and a pudding. I got the 3 tenders and slice of bread. Spice level mild. Great portions. My chicken was hot, fresh and succulent. Well seasoned and flavorful. $13 or so. No fries. Service was fast and the restaurant is clean. I love Nashville hot chicken. And this place didn't disappoint. I saw they have other locations. That's good to know because ow I know where to get great flavor and good portions of protein. Keep up the good work.

Love that they have so many spice levels to choose from. I asked for the medium level and honestly it could be considered spicy to some. So if you're sensitive maybe go one lower than you think. The flavor is more than just spice though. The chicken is really well cooked and battered. The outside was crispy even with sauce all over. Also the fried okra was a sleeper agent, it was so addicting we all kept reaching for it. I'm personally not the biggest fan of waffle fries but these were cooked great. Great place to swing by and grab some fried chicken
