This was our first time trying Dave's Hot Chicken, and it was definitely an experience! I took three kids with me, and since none of us had been there before, we needed a little time to figure out the menu. The young man working the front counter was so patient and helpful while we decided what everyone wanted. The boys had seen people trying the infamous Reaper, so of course we decided we needed to see what all the fuss was about. We ordered ONE for all of us to try--and we probably should have known we were in trouble when I had to sign a waiver for each of us! Let me tell you...that Reaper was some kind of HOT! It definitely gave us a memory and a few laughs! Thankfully, we also ordered our regular meals medium and mild, and the food was really good! The chicken was flavorful, everything tasted fresh, and the kids especially loved their milkshakes. Great food, great service, and a fun first experience. We'll definitely be back--but I think we can officially say we've had enough of the Reaper! read more

Alexandria, VA - Manchester Lakes - we've wanted to visit this place ever since we saw lines out the door at a downtown Seattle location. Upon entering there were no lines so we walked up to the kiosk and ordered. Your name is called out on a pretty unintelligible loudspeaker when it's ready but there's also a big order screen to track your order. While we waited we noticed a store employee cleaning each table as customers left. Very nice! Additionally when I picked up our order the counter person mentioned their name in case I needed anything further. Clearly a big focus on customer service here! Our chicken was hot and fresh. No spice is literally no spice but did not taste unseasoned at all. Mild spice was actually a bit spicy. The servings were well sized and included pickles that were pretty tasty and one dipping sauce. I think extra sauce is available for a small fee. First time trying Dave's Hot Chicken and it wont be my last. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty empty, but by the time I left, there were quite a few customers. Saif took my order and he was friendly and pleasant. He offered to explain anything on the menu and repeated his name in case I needed anything. Excellent customer service, Saif!!! The place is clean and the food was fresh and delicious. Medium spice level is my max!! Perfect amount of spice for me. Got a bunch of tenders delivered. It is a bit pricey per tenders but it's very good. Crispy and well seasoned and the sauce is very good as well - but it is not only the sauce thats doing the work here. Have not been in the store so dont know the service or ambience but the food(chicken tenders at least) is very good. read more

We were excited to try their chicken and ordered the Slider with Fries and Small Top Loaded Fries. The portions were generous, but honestly a bit overwhelming. I would have preferred the chicken from my loaded fries on the sliders instead. The slider chicken was too big, not crunchy, and heavenly seasoned that I couldn't taste the chicken itself. Ive been wanting to try this place for a while, and I am so glad I did! My husband and I split the two slider combo w medium spice level. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The chicken was coated w like dry rub spices vs the actual spicy sauce, which was a pleasant surprise and great taste, and great spice. Fries were also crispy and good. Went today for their grand opening! I was super surprised because I wasn't even aware that it was today, I just saw it open as I drove by. I'm super happy to have a dave's hot chicken closer to my area now. There was also a person greeting everyone at the front with goodies like pins and stickers! I got the #2 - came with 2 sliders and fries. I also ordered a milkshake with oreo topping (it's literally only on top and costs an additional $2). The food came out fairly quickly with there being a large line of people. The young boy calling out the orders was very friendly and accommodating too! Fries were amazing, super crunchy! The sliders weren't as good as last time I had them in the tyson's area but still decent! Shake was SO rich and creamy! The sauce is more of a dusting than liquid. Pick up was a little tight and disorganized. Came in after the lunch rush, so the restaurant was mellow at the time, looks like a friendly family place, nice outside seating. All things chicken didn't disappoint! Heard about this location opening up and was excited to check it out. I tried the #2 which was 2 sliders and switched it with cheesy fries. Everything was well put together for the order including the side of sauce. The interior has a modern take with eclectic artwork on the wall. Everything looked clean and well organized and there was plenty of parking outside. Service was great from the front desk to when it was ready and announced for pick up. Only recommendation would be to have better layout for ordering area and the dining area as it looked a bit busy as people were waiting for their orders in front of the cashier area.
