It's been about 5 years or so since I've last been here. I last remembered that they were actually the best back then. I don't know what happened. But, I was very disappointed with the food and service. I will give them credit for being clean. But, everything else was not the standard they held back in the day. I hate giving bad reviews and hoped that the food would make up for everything else. I'm sorry to say it didn't. So the reason why I'm giving this KFC 1 Star is due to two reasons.
1. The service was complete crap. The customer service I received totally blew my mind and not in a good way. So, I go in and browse the menu. I start ordering a few menu items and since they didn't have anyone waiting behind me. I start asking a few questions about certain items on their menu to further make my decision on what else I wanted to order. I then order the chicken my husband wanted and asked for crispy and spicy. Since that is what I remembered about the Bloomfield KFC. They were the only KFC that had Spicy chicken. So the person behind the counter is trying to tell me something. First of all you could barely hear him since he wasn't using his big boy voice. Then I start looking back at the menu to see if I still wanted to order that second order or not. The one that was helping me behind the registers all of a sudden disappears. Come to find out instead of finishing with me. He walks away to tend to the drive through window. While there is this other kid behind him just standing there. Seriously! Who does that. Finish with one customer first or tell the kid standing to the side of you near the drive thru window to take care of that customer. You also could of said "Ma'am, I'll let you take your time and think about it and while you do that would you mind if I take care of the drive through real quick". Nope, didn't even have the courtesy of saying that to me.
2. While he was away I decided to go on yelp to check in and take a few pictures for when I was ready to do my review. Tell me why the kid that was standing on the side is watching me this whole time. Then comes up to me and ask why I'm taking pictures. Seriously! It's really none of your business as to why I am taking pictures. But, anyways I tell him that it's for yelp for my review. He then says to me "You gonna post a good review right?". Ok, for one talk to me in proper english. Second, you already know how the review is going to go down. That is why you went to your co-worker and mentioned about me taking pictures. Yes, I heard you say that. I have excellent hearing.
3. The food, I really don't know what to say. I asked for extra crispy and got extra soggy with an excess of oil with it. it wasn't even seasoned properly. It tasted so bland. You have a monitor that you also read off of to bag our orders. How do you guys miss an item that was on my order. It's not really that hard to do. Read Each item off one by one, then put it in the bag. Once it is all in the bag. Re-check the bag to make sure that everything on that list is inside for your customers. I really don't understand. It's not rocket since.
Like I said this is the first review that I am so mad about writing. Due to the fact that I have not written a bad review before. I love writing good reviews to help others that are looking for places to go and also to help the business grow. But, I just can't not with what I've experienced. Looking back to the other reviews I know understand and see why I ended up having to write this type of review. I just wish that I looked it up on yelp before I came and would've avoided this all together. read more
