I've had this place bookmarked for a while because I love Korean cuisine. My family and I decided to get dinner there late Saturday afternoon. Parking was plentiful. The restaurant is a fast casual environment with some tables. The two people working the counter was super nice. We ordered two corn dogs for my toddler and as an appetizer. We had the cheesy potato and the cheesy meat. Those were good, hot, and crunchy. We also had a cup of miso soup ($2.50) and very small side of kimchi; the amount of kimchi given was not worth the $2.50. We got the Korean bulgogi which is thin sliced BBQ beef with teriyaki sauce, onion, and carrots. Unfortunately, the flavor of the bulgogi was lacking in that dish, it was very bland and I didn't enjoy it. Eventually, I plan to go back to try out the bibimbap, spicy pork, and Korean fried chicken. The pictures online for those items, look pretty delicious. But for now, I don't recommend the beef bulgogi, unless they change up the recipe. Another downfall, they didn't have restrooms for us to use, we had to go next door to Dunkin. First and foremost my delivery was pretty delayed (around 20-30 minutes later than expected). Maybe not the restaurant's fault so not really deducting a star as a result, just a note in general. The food was so average. I got a bunch of veggies and two meats (beef and spicy chicken) in my bibimbop and got it over sweet potato noodles. It had almost no flavor and the meat was so dry. Vegetables tasted like they had been reheated from frozen. It was like cafeteria food. Dumplings were the same, clearly not cooked or steamed fresh. I did like the sauce they were served with, however. I regret not trying it in the hot stone bowl because I feel like it would've been better but I did not like the idea of having to pay extra for that. I also feel like they could've added more vegetables, the amount was a bit stingy. My other complaint would be that there was too much sauce added at the end I felt my rice was saturated. Used to be great food but now it's a little above awful, frequently get bowls delivered that have no sauce, or a huge amount of the hot sauce sitting on top, or the wrong ones put on. A really solid meal where you choose your ingredients and customize your dish and have it cooked to order. Adding $1 for the hot stone bowl is definitely worth it, it makes the dish much better and you also get an egg on top (which cooks with the stone bowl). The guys working there are also super friendly, miso soup comes with your meal as a free option. Only a couple of us ordered bottled water on the side and ate in the store, but the guy working that day came and brought us a few water bottles for the rest of the table which was very kind. Exterior isn't impressive but promise the food is worth it. Currently my go to take out spot! Such an unassuming location with amazing food! I've tried all of their wings, dumplings, spring rolls, and of course a bulgogi bowl. Wings are always perfectly crispy. Definitely go for one of the spicy one if you can take some heat. The dumplings and spring rolls are always a good snack or appetizer. For an extra dollar you can even have it in a hot stone pot! But I did take out this time and let me tell you this now, if you want lots of food that fills you up quickly for lunch.........Bi Bim Bap at Pick & Mix is the way to go. $10 at lunch gets you a large serving of Bi Bim Bap full of rice or noodle, vegetables (lots of them), and a ton of meat along with a sauce of choice. Oh wait that's not all! They even give you a drink and a small bowl of miso soup all for $10!!!!! Is this a dream?!?!?!! I ordered rice, all vegetables and scrambled egg w/o jalapeño peppers, and beef with a teriyaki sauce to finish everything off. This filled me up, it's hearty, it's cheap, it's amazing! Wasn't over sauced, wasn't too salty or sweet, it was perfect! As for the service everyone was super friendly! Just because this place is Korean doesn't mean they have all Korean staff, it doesn't take a Korean chef or any chef to put things into a bowl. But in the kitchen there is a Korean chef who makes the meats and finishes your bowl of Bi Bim Bap so don't think of this place any less when you see someone who isn't Asian at the front table, it means nothing as the food was still easily a 10/10. Just saying for those who judge in that way, don't judge like that! We're just used to seeing Asians in Asian restaurants hahaha, this topic is so over the top. Staff was trained well and very nice! But yeah! The inside is clean and small but there's plenty of seats for you to eat, they also have other orders for the side, the staff is super friendly, and most importantly the food is AMAZING for the price. A frequent check-in for Joe C (the "Top" Regular) had lead me to bookmark this restaurant some time ago and as luck would have it, this past weekend Mark (a newbie Yelper!) and I were in the area when he asked me to "Yelp" out a spot for lunch. Located in a shopping plaza between a Chinese Restaurant, Boston Market, and a Nail Salon - Mark commented that if it did not work out we had other options. I however - the fearless food leader for the afternoon - had read the numerous reviews to know what and how to order. Doing a brisk dine in and take out business for a Saturday afternoon, we were quickly greeted by an individual whom appeared to be the owner and told him it was our first time here. He was very helpful and I wish I could bottle up the enthusiasm and joy that radiated from him as we spoke. I know we were only fleeting customers but he made me feel very welcome. Top marks for their customer service! The menu is very straight forward and it being our first foray into Korean food opted for the Bi Bim Bap (which I was encouraged to try). You pick a protein (chicken, spicy chicken, beef or tofu), vegetables (about 20 or so to choose from), a starch (brown, white or sweet potato noodles) and sauce (there are several to chose from). All the ingredients are assembled, taken to the kitchen to be cooked, and in a matter of minutes of sitting down, a hot piping bowl of goodness is set before you. Yes - I agree with another review that the ordering area reminded me a bit of a Subway - BUT the vegetables are SOOO fresh and there is such a variety that any comparison should stop right there!!!!!! Other points for a first time (or repeat) diner that I will share are - *Go during lunch for about $9 you get your main dish, soda and a broth based soup *Skip the rice - sweet potato noodles are where it's at *Get your meal in the stone bowl - from the first taste to the very last bite our bowls retained their heat and made every delicous bite warm. It is $1 extra, but worth it. *Get a sauce combo and thank me later- I had hot paste/teriyaki combo and Mark had sesame/teriaki combo *Get the raw egg on top - then once you get your dish and mix it - the heat cooks the egg giving the dish a nice complexity to it. *Dumplings are good but be warned they are not homemade. *Spicy chicken is SPICEY! Well we tried something new tonight. Usually we go for Bonchon but tonight we wanted to try a new venue. It didn't turn out very well at all. We ordered their chicken wings and we found a 5" long black hair on one of the wings, then I tried the Bulgogi and rice and it tasted like pine sol. Loved it! My significant other and I dropped by Pick & Mix for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised by both the tasty food and reasonable prices. We shared a bibimbap lunch special (includes soft drink and miso soup) and an order of boneless chicken wings, which were fine and more like chicken tenders than boneless wings. The bibimbap, however, was AMAZING. We got it with white rice, just about every vegetable, and a mix of regular and spicy chicken. We went with the recommended sauce (can't recall exactly, but I believe half hot paste, half soy lemon) and paid the $1 extra for the hot stone bowl, which was COMPLETELY worth it. But how can a bimbimbap be bad right? I think all the ingredients are there but it's the flavor. It looks like a bimbimbap but tastes like some Chinese hybrid fried rice. Maybe it's the sauces in the end that messes it up. I was really craving the typical bimbimbap flavor that you can get at any korean restaurant but this was not it. Pick & Mix is in a little strip mall between a Dunkin' Donuts and a Boston Market. Very unassuming but a really great place to grab a meal! Especially lunch because of the amazing lunch time specials. The spot is family run (grandma makes the kimchi) and the staff, in particular the young bearded guy, are very friendly and helpful. My only critique is that although very clean, the dining area could really look amazing. They have made a very fast, affordable and delicious spot, I just wish the "character" was stronger in design. Bibimbop is a mixture of rice or noodles, veggies, proteins and sauce. Beef is my favorite protein here. For veggies I generally ask them to put anything. I get half rice and half noodles. Though I like the noodles more. I make it a point to always get it in a hot stone bowl. Basically they give the food in an extremely hot granite bowl. That way the food will stay hot till you finish eating. Put an egg also. The egg will get cooked while you eat. When eating in hot bowl make sure you move the bottom part of the food. The bottom will get burned.Hot paste gives a nice kick to the food. You get a complimentary miso soup with bibimbop. read more

I was with three other people- we each got the lunch special. For $10.95 you get a bowl, a cup of miso soup, and a drink. I got the sweet potato noodles, red cabbage, zucchini, carrot, jalapeños, chicken, and sesame oil. It was savory healthy goodness. The spicy chicken looked amazing so I'll try that next time. The miso soup was warm and flavorful and a nice accent. There's not much in the way of ambience/seating. But that's fine with me because I feel like the closest fast food concept to this would be like a Chipotle or a Moe's and I don't go there for ambience either lol.
