While in the drive thru on 11-1-23, the female (purple locs/braids) gave me back my card & then opened the window to say that my card didn't go thru. I asked if she was sure. Then she said she may have pulled the card out too soon. I literally had just left my credit union prior to stopping here; even if I hadn't, there was plenty available in my account to cover the charge. I gave her my card again. She returned it with the receipt & then handed me the bag of food. Never asked what sauce I'd like; just threw 3 of ranch in the bag & it's on the receipt. I asked if I could have barbecue sauce and she handed me 2. I checked my account on Friday, 11-3-23 & noticed there were 2 charges of $8.64 instead of just one. I want my refund issued immediately! If you can't or won't do it, I'll be contacting my credit union. To make matters worse, I called the restaurant on Friday at 10:05 am right after seeing the duplicate charge. A male answered the phone; as unprofessional as he was, he should only be answering his cell phone. As soon as I mentioned that I was there in the drive thru on Wednesday, he cut me off and said that I'd need to speak to a manager. They weren't there but would be there after 11 am & abruptly hung up on me. My call log shows the call lasted 17 seconds. I immediately called back at 10:06 am & he answered the phone. I told him I didn't appreciate him hanging up on me as I was asking for the manager's name. He said there was more than one manger. I laughed & said even more reason for me to ask for the name of which one I should be speaking to. He said he didn't know. I laughed again & asked for his name. He paused & said Marcus. Who knows if that's true but what I do know is, I need my money returned asap & I will not return to this location or the Albemarle Rd location ever again. No professionalism at all, & I don't need that energy around anything I'm consuming, even if it's a snack while running errands. It's out of my way some, but if I continue to patronize, I'll go to the Indian Trail location. Their employees could stand to train the ones in Charlotte. The only reason I didn't go to the store on Friday to handle this in person is because I have business to tend to, & handling this petty foolishness let alone unprofessionalism wasn't at the top of my to-do list, but I will make a visit if necessary & if this issue isn't rectified immediately!! read more

After an appointment in the area I decided to give KFC a try, being that I probably have not had KFC in 20+ years. So, not even knowing what to order I just asked if they had a chicken sandwich meal, so I went with the classic fried chicken sandwich, with fries and a drink, and added cole slaw, because it is one thing I remember loving! The chicken sandwich was just okay. Somewhat dry, and only a dot of Mayo and two pickles (luckily I asked for a side of pickles at the window)! The fries were so greasy I only had two, and unfortunately they placed the fries on top of the napkins in the bag so the napkins were just grease. The saving grace was the slaw, just liked I'd remembered. So, glad I gave them a visit after so many years but in no way will I be rushing back. read more

This location keeps running out of things in the middle of the day and doesn't tell you. The drive thru has been a slow disaster the last three times I've tried here. The last time I went (today), they sent the person taking our order home right in the middle of the transaction and the new person had to figure out our order from scratch. So we sat there for fifteen minutes haggling again because they didn't have half of what we ordered - no dark meat - and it was only 8pm. And they balked at giving us a refund for what they couldn't deliver on. I felt bad for the new person standing there trying to deal with what was happening inside the store. If you have ever been to a KFC, you genearlly know what to expect. This was that. The lobby was not very clean and the drink area was a mess. The employee who helped me was fine, but the woman working the drive thru at one point closes the drive thru window and yelled "I'm so sick of stupid customers!!". Yjat resulted because the customer in drive thru asked if she could add something to her order, after she got to the pay window. The employee was telling the customer that she could not add anything because she had already begun to take the next person's order. Hmmmm..... I mean, ok, she closed the door so THAT customer couldn't hear her (at least I think they couldn't), BUT, what about the customers INSIDE the store???? We can hear you.... it's just not cool. My food came out fine, so I don't have any other issues. OHHH, I did notice an employee bagging up the cookies without wearing any gloves. Bare hands on cookies from the baking pan to the bag. I thought to myself, that sucks. I mean even dude working with the fries had latex gloves on. Then I left with my $5 meal box, and realized it came with...... a cookie. Nope, I didn't eat it. When I go inside and ask for the correct items, I am greeted with nasty looks from the woman who took my order, repeated it back to me, and still got it wrong. For some reason, I've had the craving for a breast meal and Chicken Littles twice this week. (Mac and Cheese and Slaw too.) I only really use the drive thru. This restaurant is OLD ....seems like it may be as old as the early 1980s or so. Food always comes out the window pretty good...and has the standard KFC brand flavor. Never have a bad food item there. NOW, the last two times i went there, i have been approached in my car by some panhandlers roaming the lot.... so LOCK YOUR DOORS. Thank God that the KFC staff is aware of this and runs them off....however, the last time that they tried to run one off....i thought that there was gonna be a throw down or a shoot out.
