A mistake to come to the Chick-fil-A Park Road shopping center

This location was renovated a while back and it's still a hot spot! The drive thru line is almost always out the driveway entrance, due to being in a popular area. However, it's still worth the wait. Been here numerous times and the staff is always friendly (as with any Chic-Fil-A location) and you move through the line fairly quickly. Give them a try if you're in the area or passing through!

It's been several years since I've visited this CFA, but since I was working nearby I decided to stop in today. I ordered ahead when they opened- for inside pickup vs. the drive thru. I was excited to see that this location allows you to order lunch items during breakfast, so I was able to get my favorite lunch items at 8 am. The only thing is that the app warns you that you may have to wait 15-20 minutes for your meal to be prepared AFTER you arrive. That wasn't ideal, so when I was about 10 minutes away, I went into the app and hit the "I'm at the Restaurant" button, which worked out perfectly. When I arrived, my order was ready. As for the location, it's perfectly located in a Park Rd shopping center. There is also a pretty awesome walk up window concept that caught me by surprise. I think the worker at the window could tell by my face too.. I was looking for a door to walk INTO the restaurant and to a pickup shelf and she said I could grab my order right there. Sweet. There's also a nice covered patio in the front so you can sit outside and enjoy your meal. I should have done that or at least ate it in the car since my order was barely warm when I got to my destination. Not CFA's fault, and the reason I usually pull over and eat my meal in the car. Next time. And I'd return to this location in a heartbeat too.

A sanwhich I had to touch and make on my own , when kitchen could've done it them selves

I went here and I came to get a simple sandwich constructed for dinner at this "restaurant" they like to claim to be, I order a spicy crispy chicken sandwich , with an extra filet on top. I told them server I wanted American cheese on the top filet , pepper jack in the middle , Colby Jack on the bottom. When I arrived at the window I was greeting with rude disturbed faces like this Asian girl & Latina as if what I ordered was disgusting, or confusing. I was then asked what I ordered and I the manager spoke over me serveral times and laughed in my face when I tried to order my sanwhich, asked if I knew Chick-fil-A rules ? Hospitality is supposed to be shown at a Chick-fil-A "restaurant" but today I felt as if this were a fast food joint. The manager walks back and everyone made funny jokes and remarks about the order and what I liked to get from other locations that so kindly took care of me like Whitehalls CFA. When I got my ordered and multiple tubs of cheese I was greeted by an Asian Boy , and was told "here if your lunchable" , I asked if they made my sandwhich hoping the kitchen and they're team were capable of creating a sandwhich so simple . I was let down by this location and its service , I will definitely not be eating at Chick-fil-A on Woodlawn road. Or Chick-fil-A for a while Thank you very much team

Optimist Hall itself is a very food-centric, upscale food hall with a ton of vendors, so the atmosphere is energetic and fun. Seating can be a little challenging during peak dinner hours since so many people are grabbing food from different spots, but when the weather is nice there's plenty of outdoor seating. Harriet's keeps their burger formula refreshingly simple. It's a classic smash burger done right--made to order with a straightforward menu that doesn't overcomplicate things. There's usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly, and the burgers come out hot and fresh. One of the best parts of eating here is the flexibility of the food hall experience. While you're waiting, you can grab a craft beer, a glass of wine, or even browse for dessert from one of the other vendors. Insider tip: Come with a group if you can. It's a great place to share fries and let everyone explore different vendors around the hall. Parking is fairly easy with the nearby garage, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, Harriet's is a fun, delicious stop for a smash burger, especially if you're already enjoying the energy of Optimist Hall.

The staff was kind and accommodating which we appreciated, too. But, as their name declares, it's about the burger and that's where they let us down. Their style is rolling the meat thin to get a perfect bun:meat ratio, which they nailed. But the burger is literally tasteless. Remove the condiments and the mustard and you're left with a gray, lifeless disc of beef just begging for a hard sear and seasoning. Disappointing. Moreover, both our buns were dried out and the sliced tomatoes were not ripe. Has my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter wondering if we should try them again or look somewhere else.

Welp, I held out for long enough and I'm finally fed up enough to give a review/warning…read more I love the place. The Burgers and fries are great. They have apple pies that taste like what McDonalds used to serve over 15 years ago before they got cheap with them. My problem with them is however they organize putting the order together into the bag. 95% of the time I go there, there's something wrong. Most of the time, it's that they don't give me my dipping sauce. For most places, I wouldn't care about the mistake and just eat my meal. However, unlike most other places, this franchise charges $0.50 for a dipping cup and you don't get a complimentary one. Other times, I'm missing my apple pie. Luckily, It takes me 2 seconds looking in the bag to notice because they have this annoying protocol of having drive through customers pull forward, away from the window to wait on your food (unlike other places, it's not because 1 item you ordered is being made and allowing other customers to get their food and go around you while you wait). It turns into me rushing to open the bag and find a problem before they disappear into the building. Now come to today. Same old, same old. They managed to remember my dipping cup but forgot my entire apple pie. Waved them down, got it and took off. Fast forward to getting home and I open my burger to find that my double is suddenly a single with jalapenos on it. I have never been to any food place that forgets and messes my order up more frequently than I have here. It's not a food problem, I love the food. It's a problem with the people working in it, which is more than likely because of whatever very specific way the franchise wants their workers to do things. If you go here, make sure you have everything you paid for. You will probably need to be vigilant here more so that any other place you've gone to combined.

Out of the four of us, I was the only one who hadn't been here before. It's a long-standing, no-frills wing shack/sports-bar hybrid in south Charlotte that's built a loyal following around one thing: serious wings. There are other things on the menu--but unless you want an appetizer or something alongside your wings, ignore them--the wings are the main event. Their website claims 25 flavors, and if you order more than one set of five, you can sample more than one. I went with ten wings: mild Buffalo and lemon pepper. Everyone recommended the lemon pepper wings. These are not a dry rub; they're a wet, glossy toss--and they are OUTSTANDING. I'm hooked. The Buffalo wings were on par with the best versions of the classic style. They provide celery sticks with blue cheese or ranch dressing--I chose blue cheese--and it was a great accompaniment. We also had their Spicy Onion Rings as an appetizer before we ordered the wings. The onion itself brings natural sweetness and mild sharpness (especially when hot), while the batter/coating is where the personality lives: savory, slightly salty, and well-seasoned. DD Peckers' spicy onion rings are essentially a classic crispy onion ring elevated with a peppery seasoning--where the heat enhances the onion's natural sweetness rather than overpowering it. They have a great selection of craft beers and ciders and offer a full bar. Most of us had Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Copper, a local Charlotte beer. I had two bottles of Bold Rock Hard Apple Cider, which paired well with both the onion rings and the wings, along with a glass of Olde Mecklenburg Copper in between. Our waitress was attentive, fun, and efficient. She kept everything moving seamlessly, and all of our needs were met exceptionally. We all tipped her well. The food and drink here are quite a bargain--especially considering how iconic this restaurant is and how delicious their wings are. A great night with friends, good drinks, and incredible wings--what could be better?

We ordered the chicken tenders and fries and though nothing about the meal was bad, but nothing really stood out either. The tenders were decent and the fries were fine, just fairly average across the board. It was one of those meals where everything was perfectly edible, but nothing memorable enough to make you crave coming back. With so many solid chicken options around Charlotte, I'd probably lean toward places like Poppycox or even Chick-fil-A next time if we're in the mood for tenders and fries. DD Peckers has a good reputation for wings and a big variety of sauces, so that may be where the real draw is. For us though, the tenders and fries didn't quite do enough to earn a repeat visit.
