To whom may receive this message. I would like to take the time and express the discomfort which I experienced tonight at the KFC address, 17450 Jefferson Davis Hwy Dumfries, VA 22026. My total order came out to be 47.39. I gave the cashier 100.00; he changed it out to all 20s and gave me 40.00 back before putting the money in the register and then rang my order for 60.00 and gave me back 2.61. After I received my order, I asked for a recipe; I received a duplicate receipt, and when I brought it to his attention that he did not give me back the correct change, his demeanor changed, and he became nervous. He had to get the money from the young lady who went into her pocket. When I contacted the store to talk to the manager, he was very unprofessional and belligerent. His name is Yam. When I asked for the district manager's contact number, he could not provide me with the information, and when I informed him that I would be in contact with the corporate office, he told me so what. The reason for this message is to ask if this is the way KFC does business and if so, I strongly recommend that you change your business model and retrain the staff at this location immediately because I believe that this is not a mistake and that this is standard practice at this location. read more

This location never has what you order. The prices are steep, bad food and bad service. Wait until Popeyes opens up nearby and go there.

We ordered a 10 pc special family meal and a 8 pc (chicken only) this pastThursday. We weren't told that their would be any wait. Exactly 32 mins later we received our food. I was going to write a formal complaint but told my husband, "Maybe the crowd was more than expected for a Thursday evening." But I can say for certain that is not the case with this location. After we left there were 2 individuals that arrived before us who were still waiting on their orders. At 11:25 this morning Iordered today a 10pc. bucket grilled breast and legs only, a special order I take it, so I was expecting a wait. As I ordered the drive thru cashier told me there would be a 15 minute wait. " Sure I'll wait." At 11:50 am my patience had worn thin. Just as I walk in an employee says, "Are you the one waiting on the 10 pc grilled?" "Yes", I replied. "Yeah it just came out." If the wait isn't 15 minutes please don't say, "It'll be a 15 MINUTE wait" if that isn't true. I haven't eaten KFC in 5+ years prior to Thursday, but after those 2 experiences and seeing the poor ratings at the other KFC's near me, I probably won't be going back. This KFC is a fair 3.5 Stars in my opinion, but several minuté factors keep me from upping it to a four. I don't care for KFC sharing the parking lot with the mechanics next door. It's just displeasing to see old, beaten cars just lie in parking spaces, unattended for days. Service is mediocre, but they are understaffed. There is normally 3-4 employees attending food, drive thru, and cashier (total). That being said, they are on the slow side and food just isn't perfected. Granted it's still edible and fairly good, but I feel it can be better. The dining area looks clean, but some nice elbow grease would be useful in cleaning the tables. Overall, I would recommend this place, but I wouldn't recommend going out of the way to eat here. The 10% tax from the Town of Dumfries is very displeasing and not helpful. Not much of KFC's fault, but a factor. Why pay 10% tax when you could go and pay 6% tax elsewhere? read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We have people here who have been waiting 20 plus minutes for their orders. I myself have been waiting 15 minutes. The lady is really rude when we are asking how much longer. They have five people working and can't fill five peoples orders in a timely manner. I will not be back to this location. Food was terrible. Chicken Nuggets were just over fried dough, no chicken inside. Cole Slaw tasted like raw cabbage, it use to be so good. After i took a few bites I took my food back and asked for my money back. The guy at the counter told me I couldn't get a refund I had to pick something else. Believe I didn't want anything else because my wife could hardly get her crunchy chicken meal down, the crush was weird, it didn't taste or look anything like it did before and the French fries were dried up and luke warm. Just went to this KFC at 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday there was basically nobody there at all and they made me wait 30 minutes for my food while many people arrived after me received their food before me. Will never be returning to this KFC. Garbage service and poor management. read more

I used to love their gizzards, livers, and honey bbq'd wings. When they stopped carrying them, I stopped going. But the other day I had such a hankering for fried chicken I decided to stop by and bought the joint out, drum of extra crispy, mashed potatoes n gravy, cole slaw, etc.It came out to close to $50! And when I got home, what did I find? The chicken was soggy and not crispy and had a horrible "old oil" taste somewhat reminiscent of copper pennies, the mashed potatoes tasted like paste; the old paste we used to eat in grade school, and the gravy was little different except it tasted like glue...tasteless, slimy, Elmer's Glue. I ordered my food for dine in and was sitting down with my wife waiting for it to get done. So 15 minutes later I see the guys behind me get their food. So I go up and ask what's taking so long and how the several guys who ordered after me got my food before me. And the manager answers by saying he doesn't have any crispy chicken left. So I said just give me whatever. I stayed in the front while he got my food together which took a total of 20 seconds. So that just tells me that it took 20 seconds to get my food together because he pulled everything out of drawers. The restaurant was also empty. So anyway, about the food, the chicken felt like it was very weak, fragile, soggy, and gross. The potatoes wedges were awful and felt like they were under a hot lamp for a week.
