The staff forgot to give me part of our order (10-piece nuggets) at the drive thru, and we didn't discover it until we got home. That's fine. Mistakes happen. So I drove back to get the order of nuggets, and asked for a free side for my trouble. The manager did give me a free side, but only after giving me a lecture about how they will no longer be making up for future mistakes by giving you something for free. I couldn't believe it. She was basically explaining that they will no longer accept accountability for their own mistakes, as if giving me the nuggets that I paid for was enough. No, I was literally owed the nuggets because I paid for them. Asking for a free side was a fair request to make up for their mistake. This is just another case of the decline in customer service these days. Avoid accountability at all costs, even if it's just a $1 side. She then asked if I would like to purchase the 12 pc. meal at regular price. I went next door to Culvers and had great service and a very good burger. You know KFC, I know KFC. I used to enjoy some KFC. This Fenton location lets the food out of the kitchen that should never go out. Chicken so overdone or old that it tastes like jerky. DOG treat jerky. Nobody cares here. Not the owner on down to the employees. Where is corporate? Dry biscuits, deformed/broken chicken bones. Congealed mac n cheese. Choking dry potato wedges. Makes you queasy. When asking for an all dark meat bucket, we received 75% wings, a jacked up leg and a breast piece. Lots of dry cold wings. It's really bad. Attached is the letter I wrote to KFC regarding my issue with them, a month later I have never received a reply. Dear Sir/Ma'am, On September 4, 2020 I went to KFC to get one chicken breast. Because the inner restaurant was closed due to Covid-19 I pulled around the outside to order. When I came to the window, I told the cashier that I would be checking the order because I had come there several times and gotten the wrong piece of meat. I always order a breast, and the last time I got what I said was a back with a wing. The cashier said they didn't come attached. That may have been the case but I didn't get a breast paid for and what I did get were two pieces of meat attached. The order came to $3.36 and I gave her a $20-dollar bill (that was folded small in thirds) and .36 cents in change. I only had $20's in bill in my wallet. She returned with my chicken and I checked that it was the right piece. I looked up and she was gone. I drove off without my $17.00 in change. I live 4 min (0.9 miles) (mapquest) away and realized before I got home that I had left without my change. I called KFC to say I was returning for it moments later. When I returned, I saw the woman who had waited on me leaving the building while I was in line for the window. At the window I was presented with "Billy" who refused his last name and gave no employee number to identify himself to his superiors. Billy is the supposed Manager. He asked me 3 times weather I had not gotten change back obviously not believing me. I said no I did not 3 times. He says "well nobody here remembers someone leaving without their change." I would have to wait until 11:00 PM to find out if it was over, and it was 3:40 PM at the time. I said it wasn't him who waited on me and so would not show up in his cash drawer. Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't only one person the person who waited on me have her own cash drawer? If, so that would be the drawer to find an overage. I used to work in a drug store back in the 80's and if a customer thought they were shorted you pulled the drawer right then and made sure it balanced. Billy held firm that is was his drawer. He asked for and received the receipt. I was told that if it wasn't found I would have to deal with the office and he gave me this number 248-301-5087. Later I called that number and there was an answering machine with no KFC or any other introduction. It just said to leave a message, which I did. Billy said the office knows who he is without an employee number or last name. I tried to call Billy at 11:00 PM as instructed but the phone was turned off. I was told when I called the next day at 10:00 AM that there was no extra money found in his drawer. I asked about the cameras that Billy told me were all around. He ignored my question, and told me I would have to talk to the office. Cameras would show that I did pay the cashier and that I didn't get any change. To sum it up $17.00 was stollen by the cashier. I was stonewalled and lied too with the response from your manager and I got no reply from the "office". I requested and had the receipt given back to me but it is a mess with most the information/ink leached out of it, but I have it Ticket number 1531 if you are interested. read more

We had been getting takeouts regularly from this store during the pandemic. Aside from an occasional mix up with the order the food was generally good. Stopped by tonight after a few months break and I was surprised to see that the 12 pc Tenders meal I had been buying was now an 8 pc meal for virtually the same price. Also it is now only available in Extra Crispy. I was even more surprised when I got home to see the Tenders were now roughly half the size. They were flat slices of chicken instead of a whole piece of chicken and were cooked DRY and tough. They reminded me of the Banquet chicken tenders you get out of the grocery store freezer. I have had issues in the past with the food and service at this location, but had a very short lunch break and decided to give them another try. BIG MISTAKE!!! The sandwich I ordered came with a bun so hard that I was in disbelief that they would actually serve that, Not to mention the fries were extremely cold!! I immediately went back and requested my money back because it literally took my appetite away. The manager Billy came to the window and, with NO apology at all, proceeded to tell me that the bun was not that hard and that I had eaten half of the fries, but in fact, I had only grabbed 2 from the bag. Billy refused to give me a refund and said I could only get a credit or food replacement. So I took food... And still such a disappointment!!! Needless to say I'll never eat KFC again... I stopped here tonight to get a bigger meal and an individual meal. Asked for a diet Coke, no ice and macaroni as the single side. The woman who handed my food was frazzled and I grabbed the bags and asked her if it had silverware and she assured me it was in the bigger bag. I pulled into an adjacent parking lot to eat and realized they didn't give me silverware, my drink and they gave me mashed instead of macaroni. I went back through drive-thru and told them, and the woman at window insisted she didn't screw up my order, and when I persisted, she got her manager. They said I had to give them mashed potatoes and then insisted they gave me two and in a brown bag, which was completely untrue. The manager kept at me and treated me like I was trying to screw them out of a two-ounce container of macaroni. He wouldn't give me my food so I finally said, "then get out here and search my car for the mashed potatoes I'm witholding from you" which he didn't want to do. So he handed me my macaroni with no apology (after they had taken back the potatoes) and slammed the window shut. I had to be adamant again because I didn't get the drink I paid for. I had the receipt for this order, and they rang the side in wrong. They handed me my drink without apologizing. Phenomenally rude people. And if I owned this franchise, I would be concerned. I get that it's a crap job working at KFC, but when you're employees treat your customers like criminals and cheat them out of what they pay for, well, you lose your customers. I wanted to order a meal at the drive through window but was repeatedly interrupted by the person taking the order and scolded for "not placing my order in the correct sequence"!!! WTF they lost my business forever & if that's how they treat customers I'm sure they will lose more. I called the store afterwards to speak to a manger. The lady who answered said she was the manager & that it was she who had taken my order "very politely" and that "they had to take orders in a certain way to make sure they got them right". To many immature children and bitter adults make this location very poor. Customer service is ok, could be worse but not by much. If you are there when it's not busy you can see and here the screwing around while the lobby is constantly dirty. Inappropriate behavior for employees to act on company time. More worried about being on their phone than getting work done. If you have any problems with your order they fix it but they treat you like you are lying to get free food. I have called a few times to speak with the store manager but I'm always told she is on vacation. Must be a great place to be a manager bc they are always on vacation. read more
