Ordered the family box, which has 4 biscuits, fries, 4 pieces of chicken, 10 popcorn chicken and 4 sauces. Also ordered a coleslaw. First, the fries tasted like they weren't fried in oil just for them. Had a different taste and smell and they were slightly overdone. Biscuits were well beyond done. One biscuit was completely inedible. I ordered original recipe for my four pieces of dark meat. Although the skin was nice and crispy, the chicken inside was dry. Popcorn chicken definitely overdone and dry. Coleslaw wasn't bad, but definitely doesn't taste like KFC coleslaw is supposed to taste. And who designed the parking lot for this KFC? If you park on the side closest to the street, when you leave and back out normally, you can't drive your car around the building because there's no room to get past the cars in the drive thru. I have 20 bucks for the month for out to eat food. I should've known because I don't see much traffic at the Gardner KFC but I really wanted some moist original dark meat. The chicken strips were so overcooked that they didn't even resemble chicken when broken apart. What a huge disappointment. I won't be returning. How can a KFC not honor coupons they send out to me via the KFC FAN CLUB???? That's just stupid...what is the point of signing up for things you can't have access to? So I called to get the phone number of a general manager or the owner and get "we don't have a general manager" and "we can't give out phone numbers to the owner or corporate office". You know, all of us hate our jobs some times and I have worked fast food in the past too, but not helping a customer AT ALL is ridiculous. I wasn't being pissy when they refused my coupon in drive thru, I didn't waist their time trying to argue with them, I just pulled out so they could continue business with the other people behind me and called them. This jerk of a manager said there was no higher management than him I could call to complain. He finally said his manager will be in tomorrow (which I don't believe, no higher up managers come in on Sundays). This KFC in Garnder SUCKS! I have used these online coupons at several locations around Johnson County and never have been told that they are not acceptable. SHAME ON YOU GARNDER KFC just because of that manager's smug attitude, I will be taking this as far as I can. Very few places have given a poor service as this location. I like to think of myself as a pleasant, easy customer, but the employees never cease to surprise me how rude they can be to those paying their salary. ‍ The worse and last time we ordered food here, I ordered the same thing's I do every time, then were told they no longer sold it. ‍ So, I opted for a few tacos without cheese. My husband ordered a 5 piece chicken tenders combo to which they replied, "we don't have five pieces made, is a four piece okay?" Not trying to be difficult, he opted for the four piece tender meal. As we pulled up to the window, my husband very politely double checked on the order making sure they hadn't accidentally charged us for the five piece meal, while still only giving us four pieces of chicken. No brainier, right? Wrong. The lady got VERY bent out of shape he asked and sharply responded that he said he was okay with four pieces. He said, he is fine with ordering it as a 4 piece meal ( though why they couldn't just make some more chicken...?!) but didn't think it was right for them to charge us for five but only giving us four. She huffed off and I'm assuming a female manager returned, also very short and rude, pressed some buttons (the price never changed, and we received no receipt to look at), massively handed our food out the window and shut the door. Not only that, but when we got back home, my tacos were loaded with cheese (I'm allergic to dairy), and he got a random box of four PIECES of chicken (thighs/legs/wings) and a biscuit... not even close to what he ordered in the first place. have tried this location on several occasions,(before and after the remodel)...The Taco Bell food is on par with dog food: greasy,too salty,lack of meat in the tacos,well in most of everything,and most of all over cooked...Now for the KFC part...If you like your fried chicken cold in the middle,slimey,and often times bloody next to the bone,and a serious lack of the Colonel's herbs and spices this is your place. Never once has the chicken been anything other than I described. It has always required microwaving for atleast 5 minutes to be completely done ... As far as cleanliness of the place you can forget that too...Dirty greasy and/or sticky tables and chairs,not to mention the lack of attention to trashbins inside and a dirty floor. It is very plain to see the Franchise Owner is only interested in the money and not the quality of anything or the clealiness of the facility,not to mention employees yelling at eachother in the back. I cant even give a star, but i have to.Waited 45 minutes only to have half my order missing. Then they have to ask for my reciept. While making it they took another 10 minutes to make 3 tacos, a quesadilla and a nacho fry. They were to busy talking to make my order in a timely manner. There was definitely blood on the ground when I went in today. Some old guy was bleeding and he had to wipe it off before the cashier decided to mop the floor. Not only that, but the past two times I'd been there, the cashier seemed slightly rude to anyone who didn't speak English or may have had a disability. The first time, a woman who was clearly hard of hearing needed help ordering (her husband helped) but she wasn't that hard to understand. She could talk (not to be understood well, but still understandable if your job is to try to understand. You know, like if you were a cashier). The cashier seemed impatient with her and frustrated. When the husband went to go get drinks and his wife was still trying to order, the cashier yelled out, "Sir!" to get him to come back. She interrupted the woman trying to sign and say what she wanted. It took a lot for me to not just go and translate for her. The next time, there were a couple construction workers that couldn't speak English well enough (to her standards). She asked a woman behind them in line what they were saying in a rude, I-can't-believe-I-have-to-deal-with-this-right-now tone. The last thing is, a man just stood there, waiting on his food, minding his own business. He got told to "Calm down," because, "I'm getting your food ready." This was by one of the cooks in the back. I'd go back for the food, not the service. Maybe I'll stick to the drive thru. read more

This KFC/Taco Bell is by far the worst fast food restaurant I have ever experienced. The first few times I had went there it was always through the drive thru and they never once got my order right, causing me to go back or sit there in the drive thru line waiting for the high school kids to piece by piece bring me my order and continue to get give me the wrong stuff. The one time I went inside the building thinking that I would get better service was the last time I went there. It looked as though the entire restaurant hadn't been cleaned in months, there was food on all the tables, majority of the chairs, and all over the floors. The lady's room was what public bathroom phobias are made of. Needless to say by the upkeep of the inside I wasn't to thrilled about my fiance still wanting to order from there. The high school aged boy who took our order was beyond rude and stared out the window the entire we were talking. He then also answered the phone while we were still waiting and yelled for an older gentleman to take the phone call because " another retarded customer wanted to complain". By far the most unprofessional thing I have witnessed in restaurant half full of customers. I have called and complained to the corporate office on a few occasions and I am surprised that they are allowed to still be in business, or pass health inspections. Think they could improve if it wasn't for the lack of management. read more

Food is prepared badly, broken tacos, and slow service. Walk in, and get hit with a sewage smell. Tables usually dirty, overall greasy feeling about everything you touch. I was told that you will not get boxes for your food if you drive through, or order to go. Management doesn't seem to care about restaurant, and the food is not good. read more
