Karaage was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. Enjoyed every bite! We were unable to finish it all, so brought it home. And we re warmed it in the air fryer and it was just as delicious! The buns are not toasted so in a takeout environment they become straight up wet diaper soggy and it's also disconcerting when you ask for the bacon to be cooked crispy and it's served white/soggy/limp and barely cooked. Everything seemed nice enough inside and if ever back on the Big Island I would probably try HBJ again, but if you're taking online orders, please enable the platform and if not, remove the website prompt that you do and cook the bacon dammit, wet noodle is never fun. The staff is friendly, if overwhelmed at times, and tends to have a positive attitude. There is always someone supervising and tidying the dining area. The drive-through service is so popular, the line never seems to shorten. Because inching along in an idling car does not appeal, I nearly always go inside and use the table service. After taking a seat, I log on to the free WiFi service, open the McDonald's app, enter my order, select the table-service option, enter the table number marked on a silver disk, and pay with my linked credit card. I read emails till a staffer brings the order directly to me. The table-service option appeals especially to those of us who'd prefer to forgo the ritual of hovering around the pickup window with other customers, waiting for our numbers to be called. The app also offers the option to park in a designated mobile-phone space near the entrance and have the staff bring your order outside to you. I can't comment on the meals, because I rarely come for more than a coffee break. But one bonus at this Scottish establishment is that a large coffee and pocket pie are half of what Starbuck's would charge for something similar. Thrifty, eh? Oh, and the people watching is better here, too.

I really go to fast food restaurants, but for some reason decided to get KFC on a busy afternoon. I ordered the eight piece meal at the drive-through and an extra chicken breasts. After a few minutes waiting at the window they told me I'd have to wait 20 more minutes or take a piece of the extra crispy instead of the original I said OK. Big mistake. It was tough, dry obviously been under a heat lamp for a very long time; that was the good part. The bad part was in the bucket, 4 legs and 4 cmthighs. No wings or breasts. I don't like dark meat. I packed the bucket for somebody else in the family. Zero of the 2 breasts advertised that were supposed to be in the bucket for a total of 45 bucks! What a waste, $$$ The girl at the drive-through was pleasant. I don't know who's fault it was, but I won't go back. Zippy's, practically across the street, has far better fried chicken. The pathetic lazy workers refuse to make something after 8pm when they close at 10pm. I've tried eating here 12 times over the last 7 months since I've moved here. Stopped in for a 3 piece box, where you get a drumstick & two thighs. With the 3 piece box, you also get some giant deep fried potato wedges. What can say about da grub? For fast food Frrrrrrried Chicken, I list them up there with my favorites like - Popeye's, Pioneer Chicken, Zippy's, & Vons Chicken.
