Drove through for lunch today. Ordered the 2 piece dark meat meal, plus tenders and nashville hot wings. The cashier was friendly and prompt. No issues with the service here. What I'm more concerned about is the quality of their food. It seems to be declining! The tenders used to be huge, juicy, and very crispy. Now they are flat, dry, and overly salty. I read somewhere that they are no longer hand battered and have switched to frozen premade to cut costs and time. Gross. The fried chicken is also less crispy and smaller. The food is good but the service is completely horrible. I stood in line for more than 30 minutes. No cashiers come to take orders, while, the line continues to grow. This restaurant needs a manager on shift at all times. The lack of acknowledgment of customers waiting to order is unbelievable. This company has been in business too long to have a terrible service. We were trying to find out at the drive thru if they also had the $10 tuesday special for tenders after ordered another one for bone in chicken and the lady invented that they didn't sell tenders... she sounded in a rush and I totally understand that but why lying? when we approach to the window the lady stated that she never said there was no tenders, when everyone inside the car heard her the first time.. if you ask me about the ambiance, it definitely killed my vibe... Yeah, this location is pretty sus, so I made sure it was daytime when I went. We got in and lady name Deanna was helping us out, she didn't know how to operate the register and couldn't take our order. She got another lady name Monica, who had "operations trainee" on her badge, to help her out. Too bad for Monica, as she was visibly annoyed that Deanna couldn't even take an order. She was already cooking orders on the line, taking togo orders, packing and other things. Deanna was just getting in the way and was CONFIDENTLY WRONG at each step. It made me feel anxious, nervous and a bit annoyed as this was taking alot longer than it should have We ordered a family pack and luckily, the order was fine. We took it and left. It is generally clean inside. The food is well-prepared. The staff is efficient. I usually fluctuate between the 6-piece deal with 4 sides, and the 8-piece with 2 sides. I'm going to order a larger meal for Thanksgiving. read more

This is the only KFC I will eat at since moving to Texas ! The service is phenomenal! The food is always hot and good! My husband ordered a meal for me when he brought it home he had the wrong order... he called restaurant and spoke to Mgr and manager very apologetic and informed him he could at anytime come back in and they would make it right! We returned the next day and they treated us sooo right! They replaced the food and kept apologizing! We were so impressed because not every restaurant get it right in the drive thru but this KFC made it right! The staff is so professional and kind! It's been about two years since my initial review of this location, but the service and quality I get here has remained consistent in that time. When I get that fried chicken craving, I oftentimes went for the $20 fill up to feed myself and two others. However, my boyfriend loves Chicken Pot Pie and so I sometimes get the $5 fill up box when he wants it. As a result of having to order something smaller for myself as well, I recently discovered KFC's Famous Bowl. The idea of mixing fried (popcorn) chicken into mashed potatoes, along with gravy and corn, may seem a bit bizarre to some but I had been doing that at home for years and was surprised to find that there was a place that actually thought it would make a delicious combination too. Needless to say, the item had immediately became my favorite and since the $5 fill up box is a nice deal for a combo, this has me coming back to KFC once every couple of weeks. read more

Sometimes, you just want some quick comfort food. KFC original (love those secret spices!) with some mashed potatoes and a biscuit will hit the spot. I haven't tried yet, but it seems like the boneless variety would make excellent chicken salad if there were leftovers. read more

Came in just before 2 PM to order food, 1 person in line ahead of me and 1 person behind me to order. The cashier was having difficulty ringing up the order for the individual ahead of me. Finally the manager had to come out and straighten things out. Then mysteriously the cashier just looked up and said I'll have to wait as he left the front counter area. The manageR remained in the front counter area. Finally I asked if I could order now and the manager said in nasty tones you'll just have to wait. I responded I've been waiting over fifteen minutes. The manager then said there are other chicken places just up the street. The lady behind me in line told her with that attitude she's right there are plenty of other chicken places and she left. I looked at the manager and said with your attitude I'm leaving also. There's no excuse for service this poor coupled with nasty attitudes. I was at the location 12499 Westheimer. I ordered the fiil up box with green bean and mac&chs. THE GREEN BEANS HAD GUM IN THEM. The cashier took them to the manager the manager just looked at them they had a conversation and she threw them away. When the cashier came back to me she asked me did I want any thing else. I went thru drive thru yesterday and desperately wanted to like this kfc becayse it is close to home abd is one of my comfort food. Unfortunately, the lady that was handling the drive thru, Laquinta was rude. I even asked her at the window that if she had my mashed potato which was met with silence and a glance. I got home and found a macaroni and cheese in place of my mashed potato. On top of that, the chicken tasted like I was eating styrofoam .....tasteless and chewy. The skin is the saving grace but with a whole lot of grease. I am not expecting 5 stars out of a fast food joint but I have had kfc all my life and this is the worst. Every time I come to this location, they forget something or mess something up. In one visit alone, I had to correct the drink they put for my order. I finally just took the darn drink.
