We shouldn't expect too much from fast food, right? Well, I had a taste for Hot Wings & stopped by. The order taker was rude & sounded like they hated their job from the very beginning. I ordered my Hot Wings & got to the window. He didn't say "hello" or anything. Just asked for my payment. I should've driven off right then, but I didn't. I paid, received my box, & pulled over to a parking spot to bite into what I had been craving for awhile. To my disappointment, the wings were not fresh and were dry. I had to put one star, but really it's a ZERO for me. The Colonel would be pissed at the food and service at the KFC on 64 E in Knightdale, NC. First off, it appeared that they put day-old chicken in the box. Next, two of the parts looked like they came off of a Cornish hen. Additionally, the chicken is missing - all 11 herbs and spices (maybe they don't use them at that location). One of my wings was so small and hard, I couldn't eat it. Welp, I couldn't let it rest. I took it back to the location. The cashier took the chicken to the back. I couldn't tell 100%, however, I think they did not toss all items and give me everything fresh (which, isn't that the law? Or a health violation for not doing that?). The cashier returned with the boxes (they looked like the same ones I brought back - which most likely means, they didn't change the sides or biscuits.) To add insult to injury, one of the boxes was minus a piece of chicken. When I called it out, the cashier said, "I was told, we replace what you return". I let her know that I returned it all and if you mean the hard wing that I tried to bite and couldn't eat, it was also returned (it was so small you couldn't see the bone). The cashier took it back for the other piece. I am not sure who the employee (woman) was who yelled from the back; however, she yelled, "we replace what you bring back." I politely yelled back, "all parts were brought back!" I sure hope she wasn't the manager on duty representing that poor customer service. I should have gone to the Popeyes right down from the KFC. They had a line of cars wrapped around the building. The KFC had one family eating and one person in line with me. It probably has to do with the taste and customer service! Not all KFC are created equal, as in this location the chicken is over cooked or deep fried twice. The texture was so dry that it dried my mouth up and the flavor, discussing. It's hard to describe, the mashed potato is not good either. Mac and cheese were not that bad. read more

Worse experience I've ever had in a KFC. Very short staffed and inconsiderate workers. Multiple people come in because their order is wrong or they need a refund. I'm assuming it's the manager but she was begging people to not get a refund. I kept getting brushed away by these ladies working up front. Once I got their attention after 20 minutes of watching walking around, all I wanted was my receipt and sauces. The manager or whoever it was crumbled my receipt in front of me and told me she just threw it away and if I still need it... very rude and disrespectful... I asked for sauces and was told I needed to pay extra which I was fine with but then she walked away to watch the drive thru...?.. mind you no one was there.. very weird. I don't recommend getting inside services. These people are just rude and nasty. Only thing good about this place was the cook and the food. The worst experience I've ever had at KFC. Went in for an 8 pc bucket. Instead of the usual 2 breast 2 legs 2 thighs and 2 wings I received 4 thighs and 4 legs. 4 thighs were overcooked and there was so much grease ln the bucket it seemed like they emptied the cooking oil into the bucket. Don't ever leave there without checking your order. It will be a while before I go back to KFC and never leaving until I ck the order read more

Famous bowls are very good and service is excellent as well as well as being neat and clean

They use old oil, and chicken from the day before. There is no way that one buys chicken at 11:30 am and the chicken is dark. As a cook, I know that is from old oil. I don't believe they change the oil. They keep adding new oil to the old. read more

Holy Smokes....it's a Long John Silvers !! It still amazes me that I have to go to a KFC in Knightdale to get Long John Silver's Fish. Whatever. The Good: I can get LJS Fish at the same place I get my Memphis Hot Chicken (or is that Nashville Hot Chicken)? The Fish and Chicken is always hot, of course it would be, you always have to wait for it. The Not So Good: KFC and LJS offer different type fries. KFC uses tater wedges. LJS uses string fries. At this location LJS uses wedges which is a different type profile for Fish and Chips. (I know, I'm being picky). This place is S-L-O-W. To have 250 people behind the counter what the hell are these people doing? Cook the damn chicken and fish. Cannot the capital city of the state of North Carolina get their own Long John Silvers? I can't get a Crystal burger or a White Castle, you'd think I could at least get a piece of deep fried fish. Still 4 stars, I love that fish and chicken. read more

Extremely slow and rude drive through service. Ended up going inside to complete the order after paying for the first half. Kataira at the front was very sweet, and seemed to be the only one working. Who doesn't like their macraroni???? Their mashed potatoes are pretty good, beans are ok, chicken is decent. Majority of the time we have purchased food here whether it be dine-in or drive thru, it took forever!!!! They really need a staff that has more pep in their step. We eat here 2-3 times a month. The staff is friendly and the order comes out right almost every time. We like that they have both Long John Silver's and KFC. The kids like the $5 Fill-up meals with popcorn chicken, one side and a cookie. Probably not the healthiest choice, but it's affordable and when we go, everybody leaves happy. read more

Customer service was okay... I went here for my mother so she could get fish (I do not eat fish and "whatever mama wants mama gets" I am a GOOD SON). The food looked nasty and time we got home it was nasty and falling apart and I understand it was not that good.
