Just your typical ghetto KFC/Taco Bell Combo... They typically don't have what is on the menu.

Best KFC experience in the SW suburbs. Always fast fresh. If you need to wait they give you a target and rush out. A plus team.

This is not the best KFC, if you want KFC try another one, the food just isn't what it should be here compared to other KFC sights.

Wow, this was an experience! I've been a patron of Harold's Chicken since the late 80's. This…read moreestablishment was clean, and seasonings, sauces, and shirts were available for sale. Well stocked with a delightful presentation. We purchased a red velvet cake (my wife's favorite) and peanut butter cookies. The cake was moist and full of flavor. The cookies were soft and flavorful. We purchased the same seasonings they use to cook the chicken in the store. Well priced and convenient. Side note: the owners have a link to purchase via Amazon. Show them some love. Gloria and Will were respectful and patient as I figured out what my aunt decided her order over the phone ( I hate not knowing g my order while at the register, love you, Aunty). Now, the food, I wish I had taken a picture. My wife had perch and wings; I had wings; my aunt had wings, too. Not only was the fish light and crispy, but it didn't taste like the chicken at all. You can tell they didn't take any shortcuts in using the same grease. The wings were sooooo good, fried just right. I'm a hot-and-mild person, so the proportions of both were spot on. This was by far my best experience. I've been to Harold's all over Chicago and Atlanta. Thank you to those running this place for the experience. I guess I'll have to make this my new stop when I'm back home now. I'll take pictures next time of the food.

First time I went in…read moreI was refused service and told that they were too busy to take any more orders at the time. The second time I went in and the same thing happened. Third time, I was actually able to place an order and pay, but after about 5 minutes of sitting there waiting for my order, I was told that they were out of chicken breasts and did I want to substitute something else like dark meat or fish. I did not and asked for a refund only to be told that nobody there had the code to do a refund and the owner would refund my order at a later time. When I commented that this was the third time I was unable to get food the lady told me that I could get food, just not the food that I wanted. So rude and unprofessional. I went in the next day to talk the owner and he showed me that the order had been refunded and offered to give me a half white the next time I came in. So today I go to the store at 5 o'clock PM and the door is locked, no sign on the door, no people in sight. I have never had to work this hard to get a restaurant to take my money. I would prefer to support a local business rather than go to a big chain restaurant. The owners seem like really nice people (only reason I was willing to try a fourth time), but this kind of service is just unacceptable.

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile so finally, 10/15/25 was the day. My friend and I…read moremade the drive from the city of Chicago to Monee, IL which was about 40 minutes. We get there and there is a cute young girl who greets us with an apron and chef's hat on. She seats us and takes our order - she was our waitress which surprised us. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup to have before my meal. I'm glad I got a cup and not a bowl. The cup was only half full. The soup was lacking flavor so I added pepper. The woman who is GrannyMa delivered the soup. She didn't speak to us or anything the entire time while we were there which didn't feel too nice. They were sold out of the beef liver, beef shortribs and sweet potatoes. We ordered the fried chicken (menu states it takes 20-25 minutes for the chicken) and the salmon croquettes. Each dinner comes with 2 sides each so we got the macaroni and cheese, green beans, dressing and mostaccioli (slight extra charge for the mostaccioli). Fried chicken was crispy and delicious! Seasoned well. The croquettes were good also - they give you two big patties in the dinner. We weren't impressed with the green beans as you can tell they came out of a can. The dressing was only okay. The mac and cheese was pretty good but the best side was the mostaccioli - it had a layer of cheese on top and was really yummy. I wish I had gotten that as a meal, it was that good and highly recommend it. For dessert I got the peach cobbler sundae which is peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top. The cobbler sauce was very thin. I like cobbler that has alot of flaky crust but this didn't have that but it still was good enough to eat the whole thing. The young girl brought us our bill. The prices are so reasonable for what you get. Our bill was only $62 with tax for all of what we had. The place is bright with warm colors inside. We conversated with the son-in-law to GrannyMa's, he was very nice and personable. Although the young girl was sweet, I felt some kind of way of her being our waitress because clearly she is underage to be working. We were told they have a Sunday brunch from 11-3 that includes a DJ. To my friend and I, the food overall was either hit or miss. One review mention about GrannyMa engaging them in conversation - she never came over to our table except to drop off the soup and she is the owner of the restaurant. Not a good way in customer service if you ask me. Overall, okay.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and found the restaurant virtually empty. There seemed to be a steady flow of takeout pickups, but there wasn't anyone dining in, so we had the entire place to ourselves. Our waitress was a young girl who was pleasant and friendly. My sister and I both had the catfish. I ordered the greens and mac & cheese while she had the dressing and greens. We both loved the mac & cheese. My sister kept stealing bites of it off my plate! Lol She enjoyed the dressing as well. Neither of us liked the greens, though. I believe they were turnips, and we prefer collards. We also didn't care for the Johnny cakes. I prefer mine a little sweeter. The catfish was good but could've had more flavor. My brother had the fried chicken, and his mom had the salmon croquettes. All three of them LOVED the croquettes! I didn't have any, but they were definitely a fan favorite! My brother loved the chicken and sweet potatoes. I had the brownie for dessert, which I didn't care for. My sister didn't like it either. It was dry and was just okay taste-wise. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Since we were the only ones dining in, it was really quiet and relaxing. We sat at one of the large tables, but there are also comfortable benches along the wall and window. The service was excellent and you can tell that the family takes pride in going the extra mile. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and I'd go back.
