Easy. Tasty. Convenient. Three very important components that make a fast food restaurant work. I didn't mention cost because everything is priced a bit higher in the recent years. This KFC location is in my Perry Hall neighborhood. I go every once in a while. I honestly never had an issue when I take a trip here. I went recently to get a quick dinner after work. I was hungry and did not feel like cooking. I utilized the KFC app. It's cool and gives you an opportunity to catch a deal or two that would probably not be available on the regular menu. Anyhoo, I placed my order and set pick up for an approximate time (I had to stop at the grocery store beforehand). When I arrived, I went in the drive through. Now this is where the things got a little tricky. When you order on the app, you MUST go inside. I thought that was a bit annoying, but I followed the rules and left the drive through, parked and went inside. I have my own reasoning of why, but it still doesn't make 100% sense. This location (and probably most of the other locations) is pretty outdated. Decently clean, but has a late 80's, early 90's feel to it. The food is pretty much bagged up and waiting for pick up in this little waiting/warming contraption. You kinda just check to make sure your name is on the receipt on the bag and go. The workers don't really check, but KFC doesn't have a lot of foot traffic, so they probably don't feel the need to make sure that you're not taking someone else's food. I ordered a two piece white meat original meal with three sides- I was hungry! EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! I mean, it's good for home style fast food ya know? KFC's Cole slaw is always fresh and delish & I honestly cannot name anyone else's that's better. The mac & cheese is creamy, simple and yummy. The mashed potatoes were smooth and comforting. The biscuit was cool- sometimes, you have to warm their biscuits up a bit, but once you dip it into those potatoes...whooo! So tasty! I know this was a lengthy review on KFC, but I thought I'd share my experience. I know many fast food spots don't have the greatest reputation, but sometimes, they do hit the mark when it comes to portion, taste and quality. Four solid stars!

For a Friday night they were out of tenders, Dr Pepper. The chicken breast was delicious and mash potatoes was good. The biscuit was good.

Pollo Campero is a nice addition to the Nottingham area and provides a bit of a different take on the traditional fast food chicken places such as KFC and Popeyes. Offering Guatemalan chicken fare with fried and rotisserie chicken, rice & beans, yuca, jamaica punch and horchata to wash it all down. The setup of Pollo Campero is similar to any other fast food chain restaurant, no frills with the ambiance. However, it did appear that you can get your chicken served family style on a platter when dining in. There was a bit of a language barrier when ordering my food and a slight mix up when receiving my food since the employee told me my order wasn't ready even though he then turned around and called my name, again, as I stood in front of him. I asked for the fried white meat combo but instead the employee rung me up for dark meat, after asking me my name three times I just decided to let it slide because I was on a time crunch. I thought the chicken was seasoned well, the beans we're tasty although a little skimpy on the portion, and the fries were ok. All in all, I'm looking forward to trying some other menu options at Pollo Campero once the newness of the restaurant has died down some and they've gotten into a rhythm with their customer service.

I will patron this establishment again. I feel the management was not prepared for the magnitude of business in which they received on this day. There wasn't a lot of staff to handle the heavy workload of customers. When I walked in I was told 30 mins wait time in which I was seated right around that time frame. However there were a lot of angry customers because of the disorganization of the establishment. My waiter "Princess" was amazing! She was over worked but maintained her composure and attentiveness. The atmosphere was starting to read a little ghetto and very disorganized. There was only 2-3 waiters on such a busy day and the management was the host as he greeted customers , answered a busy phone line , took care of pick up orders and seat patrons. Where he messed up, was tryint to be several people at one time. He needed help badly, as other people were being seated before others that were waiting longer, ect. My food did not have a long wait time after i placed my order and the flavors and quality of the food was sooooo good !! Another tip, they are BYOB(bring your own bottle) so if you want a drink you can bring it in with you. I thought that was cool, but me personally when I go to restaurants and eat inside, I like ordering drinks at the bar. They have a bar area but no alcohol there. Maybe the goal is to open a bar but they need a liquor store license? (Idk). All in all, I would not probably eat in again, but I will come back and get a to go order because as I said the food itself was amazing!

We got there around 4:30pm and was seated immediately. Our server Koya explained our options and took our order right away. We both got a seafood boil with snow crabs legs, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and boiled eggs. She got mussels with her boil and I opted to get extra shrimp and add broccoli instead of the mussels. She got the mild lemon pepper flavor and I got the mild garlic butter. Everything came out nice and hot and seasoned well. My goddaughter said the mussels were a bit on the salty side but everything else was good! It was a slow crowd so it was a chill vibe which I appreciated. Koya checked on us regularly and answered any questions that we had. They had the college basketball games (March Madness) on the TV's which added to the experience. It's BYOB which I will keep in mind for future visits as I plan to definitely return:)
