I was jones'n for some fried chicken and after much consideration decided on a quick p/u at RWC/KFC. As as i pulled up to the order menu I knew I'd made a bad choice. Big, ugly, confusing menu, that could take hours to decipher and a crappy, low talking speaker asking me what I want. I would talk, he would talk, I don't know WTF this guy just said. I did understand that if you don't want a soft drink there is no substitute. OK Good news is that the food is cheap. For $11 I got all kinds of stuff. Bad news is I now realize why I haven't been to a KFC in about 20 years. Tasteless chicken that has blackened brittle bones at the center. Yuk. Potatoes that taste like water and a biscuit that tasted like a used cotton ball. The french fries were the best item but not worth writing home about. Does the Colonel have Covid? New Chicken Sandwich was surprisingly good. Trying to compete with Popeyes and Chick-fil-A and have done an admirable job on the sandwich but a horrendous job on customer service. Went to the drive through which has orange posts guiding you into the drive-thru window. My wife just wanted to order 1 Chicken Breast and it seemed to confuse the person on the box. When we first pulled up we got a hello after a bit and I said we are still looking at the menu. I then asked if my wife could get just one breast and got dead air. Hello? Anybody there? I said. "What is your order?" was the response ignoring my question. I had to ask 3 times before finally getting an answer. I then ordered the Chicken sandwich meal with the drink and fries and specified it as such, and the response was, " just the sandwich?" No I just said, I would like the Classic Chicken Sandwich meal deal with the drink and fries. Then I asked what drink choices they had and I got some really garbled English that I could not understand as she also said it very fast. She slowed down and spoke it so I could finally make out what she was saying and ordered my drink. I was then told to pull up. There was an employee outside at the drive-thru window who gave me a dirty look as I pulled up to the window. I guessed she was delivering food to the Uber Eats, and Grub Hub drivers. The woman inside the window copped an attitude with me and said that I was supposed to pull over and park and wait for the food. I told her, I'm sorry my psychic friends forgot to tell me how you do things here! My wife got mad at me but I think if you have an unusual policy at a drive-thru window you shouldn't assume everybody knows it as it was my first time ever using their drive-thru. I guess I could have just explained it was my first time but after the dirty look from the other employee, I wasn't in the mood. Really tasty chicken sandwich and my wife loved her breast even though it was Original and not Crispy as the wait was 10 minutes for that. If I had never worked a restaurant in my life, I would not say anything but even when I was working as a busboy, I would not give that kind of attitude to a customer. Sadly customer service is a lost art and that is why places like In and Out Burgers and Chick-fil-A, do so well- they not only have quality food buy they have mastered the art of customer service. read more

Worst place ever I went and the girl on the drive thru got my order wrong she said that the speaker didn't work she asked for us to park on the side and wait for our order to be ready the guy walked out and only gave us one bag we were missing more than half of our order . She gave us the worst attitude ever we told her that since we order she was rushing us and we weren't done ordering yet we had to tell her more than twice that we weren't done she kept sending us to the next window to pay . I never expected to rate anything at KFC this high but the chicken sandwich is really good! And you know how McDonald fries are great when thet're hot but turn onto something alien once they're cold? Kfc fries are good hot or cold. They must make them out of potatos or something... Lets clear the air right away: is the chicken sandwich good for you? Probably not. I wouldn't recommend operating heavy machinery after eating one. Some food gives you energy and makes you feel great after you eat it? This makes you feel like you took two seconal and washed them down with a bottle of wine. I slept for about 5 hrs after lunch having only moderately excercised before it. Lets just say it makes you want to nap. If I ever have trouble sleeping I will absolutely get one. I got the spicey and I have to say, it was really good. They're kind of huge breaded moist chicken and the spicey is moderate if you are a fire eater. Medium if you think Taco bell fire sauce is hot and it's flamming hot if you're Irish (i'm talking just got here from Ireland, Irish).. I got the meal and was pretty stuffed after. Why did I stop here?! Their "hot" wings from good wings to shitty wings. I ordered the 5 piece hot wings combo, and their wings were overcooked. These wings were hard as pork skins. I did not noticed this 'til I got home. I WAS NOT PLEASED. Their unsweetened tea was terrible. Very bitter. The mashed potatoes was the only item in this combo that was DECENT. My youngest daughter sometimes gets cravings for over-salted, fried chicken; which is why I find myself at this KFC occasionally. On a recent trip, she had some friends over, and they requested some too. Plus, I figured I'd have a piece or two (It brings back childhood memories.). So I came here solo and ordered a bucket to go, plus the sides that come with. At this point I was told there was a special going on: KFC was giving one large bundt cake away for each person who ordered a bucket. (I looked at these cakes, stacked behind the counter; heavily glazed. I imagined the off-the-chart trans-fat and artificial content, and a small wash of nausea came and went. The following conversation ensued: Counter Guy: "Lemon or chocolate?" Me: "No thanks; I don't want a cake." Counter Guy: "Are you sure?" Me: "Positive" Counter Guy: "Wouldn't your kids like it?" Me: "Probably; but they're not here, and they don't need it" I paid, and the staff began to prepare my order. At one point, a customer eating dinner inside had figured out that he had forgotten his bundt cake, which the staff gladly handed over (a lemon one). He then proceeded to sit down and began tearing off bits of the glazed cake with his hands, putting these in his mouth between bites of chicken. I did my best to look away. Once my order was ready, Counter Guy actually took a chocolate bundt cake and stuck it in the large bag, on top of my bucket and sides. He then handed me the bag. Me: "Please. I don't want the cake. Remember?" Counter guy: "What?...Oh" Me: "Please take it out" Counter guy apologized, took the cake out, and handed me back the bag. I've enjoyed KFC, Pioneer, Church's and Popeye's for many, many years. I know fried chicken is not the best for you but once in a while i figure is ok. This KFC is near my old house and when time was an issue, i'd pick up dinner for the family. 1st annoyance was the manager saying for months he would put juice or milk on the menu. Never happened. Then on my last visit, both breast pieces was raw. Drove all the way back (1 mile) and showed it to the shift supervisor. She offered to refry it. I said how sanitary was that and I wanted a new order. She no cuz she thought it was cooked. She also said no one has complained about the batch. Maaaybe no one bothered to drive back and just threw it away! I've never gone back and have always wanted to post a comment somewhere. Used your site today to find food on Woodside Rd. If you place an order with more than 2 items (say chicken and a side), the chances your order will get screwed up gets higher. It is best you place each order separately. Yes that means you order an item, pay for that item, order another item, pay for that item, and so forth and so on. Too bad. Out of the 100% number of times gone there, 100% of the time the order is still messed up (yes, even with just 2 items). Perhaps the food quality sucks because they're pocketing the money needed for the improvements. But how are they still able to be in business? Warning, the combined intelligence of the people working the drive-thru is in the single digits, not far off from their actual age and level of maturity. When you ask anything about the items on the menu be prepared for the drive-through worker to sound annoyed, bored, and uninterested. And that's putting it mildly. Anything more than one item will be met with what else? In an annoyed and condescending tone. The level of unprofessionalism of the workers here is laughable and sad. I blame management for improperly screening their employees who will be interacting with customers on a daily basis. Save yourself and go to Chick-fil-A instead where the customer service is outstanding. Don't get me started on my order, ordered a breast and got a thigh. Ask for sauces and got an empty bag. When handing my credit card back to me I was met with "HERE!" - wow.... just wow. And these are the same boneheads who feel entitled to raising the minimum wage. Went to pick up my order , they were SO RUDE to begin with. They said I have to wait 15 minutes since it's not ready yet (they didn't even ask for the order number so idk how they figured that my order wasn't ready yet) After waiting 15 minutes they asked my order number and it turns out that it's been ready and they didn't have any clue and the food was already cold . Without even apologizing she said "Oh your order is here" with an attitude. Also I had ordered 7 sauces and I asked them to make sure that the sauces were there . they said that they were in there and then when I got home it wasn't in there. Sorry but this location is horrible . There were 4 employees in the back and it was not busy and the dine in section was filthy. Each table had stains and food particles all over it. The worst part was right where the ice tea and soda machine sit. There were a bunch of small fruit flys or something flying around the ice tea which is located near the front counter. I came in around 5pm and the chicken they gave me did not look right. I asked for 2 crispy and one original and i received all original . Had to throw away one chicken because it looked like it had been in the freezer way too long and some one decided to go ahead fry it . This is my favorite Peninsula KFC location. I was surprised to see such low ratings but then realized they are all outdated so I figured I best bring 2009 to the top of the line! Service has improved here. The food is fast, the workers are very friendly at the drive through, they never mess up my orders, they fulfill my bulk condiment requests, they rarely actually take your coupons = you get to keep reusing them! and they generally are NOT out of chicken which means no more pulling over and waiting. This KFC feels like the King of Grease, just how I love it. The food is always hot and the buckets keep the grease in... tender and juicy with some aftermath of grease at the bottom of the bucket. Finger lickin' good! Original recipe is where it's at, it's the greasier of their kind. I dislike their newer grilled chicken, it seems like there is LESS meat on this variety. Ordering it 2 times was enough to know not to make a 3rd of disappointment. So I stick to my drumsticks and thighs, all original recipe. Sanders would be proud of me! Today's order came out to $32.75 and included: Picnic Feast Coupon, 19.99 12 pieces of chicken 2 mashed potatoes and gravy 1 coleslaw 6 biscuits 1 chocolate chip cake - which is actually very moist and chocolatey! and 3 Can Meal, 9.99 6 pieces of chicken 1 macoroni and cheese (my pick and was super creamy today, yum!) 3 corn on the cobs 3 biscuits And she didn't take my coupon but shucks it expires after today... unless I try to reuse it and they don't take it again, lmao. I came to this KFC restaurant during the Coronavirus outbreak and I had a pretty good experience there. I bought a 30 dollar fill up, changed one of the mash potatoes to a coleslaw and the other to Mac and cheese. The employee taking orders understood my order pretty well. After awhile, we pulled up to the other window. The employee told us that the item that we ordered was out of stock or something and asked us if it was okay if we got mixed chicken or crispy something. We said it was fine and then the employee asked us what type of sauce we wanted. I did not understand like almost anything he said except the word barbeque so we got barbeque sauce. A few moments later, another employees handed us 2 large bags full of food. The chicken was not the best but it was okay. I don't know how this establishment can stay open - the week we were there was one week before the quarantine and even then I got grossed out bec the guy working the counter had a very crunchy cough and kept coughing into his shirt collar then had contact with the food. Three days later I come down with a cold and cough!! Should've ran out of that place when I noticed this! Outside of this, the food isn't worth it either- skinny pieces of salty breaded chicken, mashed potatoes are worse than the instant kind you can make at home; and same for the biscuits - the ones in a can from a grocery store are better than this. ZOMG i had the craziest experience here ever. first off i came at 8pm on a friday. that was probably a mistake. all the ghouls and werewolves come out at that time. i came here because i saw the commercial for the golden chicken and it looked good. also wanted the nashville hot chicken. ok so i get in and ask the person about the golden chicken and nashville chicken. she had no idea what i was talking about. she ended up saying we only serve that on mondays. so i went back to looking at the menu and she ran to the back. then 2 people come in and they were stinky homeless people. they ask the manager about some free food or something and the manager said no we dont do that anymore. they start looking through the garbage cans. the manager threatens to get out or he'll call the cops. one goes to the bathroom to "freshen up" they end up leaving. then three workers come out of the bathroom together. the manager sees that and yells to one of them to leave now. i get it, this is a hard place to manage. another guy comes out to ask what we want. order the nashville hot and golden chicken tenders with fries and cole slaw. it was the 5.49 fill up. somehow the bill was 17$. at this point i just wanted chicken and leave. we later find out they out of chicken tenders so he gives us breast/thigh/drumstick combos. we leave and open the bag to find out we get 3 small sides of green beans, 3 small sides of mash potato, 2 small sides of cole slaw, 3 biscuits, and no fries or cookies. im not sure what happened there. im just glad i left without any blood. never again...the chicken wasnt good either. the breading was different from what i remember.. read more

This has to be the biggest joke!! Went there tonight and ordered food. The guy at the window took my card and told me that I would need to park and he would bring my food out. I realized he didn't give me back my card. I backed up to the window and told him he never gave me my card or a receipt. Then the two of them tell me the card isn't on the counter and they don't have it! I looked all through my wallet and car and it's not there. Clerk only returned $6.00, said "don't have change in the register." Oh, okay, .30 cents is nothing to me, but come on, no change in the register? Go get some. Or, just give me back a buck, as a positive customer service jester. Hell, I'd of given me a couple of bucks off just because they didn't have exactly what I wanted, if I were the clerk working there. Simply the WORST experience ever!!!! The lady in Drive-Thru was crazy. She asked me if I want original or crispy and I said Crispy. This place has gone down the drain ever since Ray Wong stopped managing this place. This location was one of the few that still have fresh chicken and clean restroom. After months not being here, my family went in and saw an African-American lady in KFC uniform sitting inside. She did not greet me, rather she dragged her feet to the back. Five minutes later, I projected my voice "Hello?". She finally walked to the front, still not greeting me. Throughout the entire interaction, there was no thank you or asking me questions. I had worked at a KFC restaurant in my 20s so I know the drill. The entire store is dirty, no customer service, and bad quality. What is wrong with these KFC restaurants!
