Finally got around to trying Hotboys and came away impressed. We ordered the sando and the loaded fries, and the chicken was exactly what you'd want from a hot chicken spot: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and well balanced by the slaw and sauce. As someone who's had a lot of hot chicken, I'd say it's definitely comparable to Howlin' Ray's, though Howlin' Ray's still holds the top spot for me. The loaded fries were a solid choice too and made for a satisfying side. My only disappointment? I didn't actually see any hot boys on the menu. Overall, a very good hot chicken spot that I'd happily return to when the craving hits.

Tried hot boys from the truck & it did not disappoint. Staff are super kind. He loaded us up on the sauce. The chicken and fries were super crispy. Loved the texture and the chicken was moist. My spice level was perfect, & yes it can get spicy. I was beyond stuffed as the portions are perfect. I'm definitely coming back.

Came here after work for dinner with my hubby and decided to try this spot out! The reviews looked promising and knew this place was going to hit. Coming up to the window the man asked if it was pick up or ordering. I said I'm ordering and another man came down and told me he can take my order. I decided to got with a sando meal and I picked the medium spicy. Took about 10 minutes to get my order. Mannnn this place is bomb af!!! So delicious and juicy!!! The fries had a hint of spiciness to it which was great! Definitely 10/10!! Will becoming here more often!

OMG... if you're from the Bay and love Nashville chicken sandwiches, YOU HAVE TO TRY WORLD FAMOUS HOTBOYS! I was in the area with a friend and saw that they were open late at night. The food truck is parked inside the parking lot of Fifty's Market & liquor store. My friend and I both ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich & fries combo. The sandwiches had a good amount of heat and flavor in every bite. By far one of the best chicken sando's I've had out here. If you're in the area and craving some spicy chicken, check them out. You won't regret it!

I think the Oakland World Famous Hotboys location is better than this one. Ordered online and the order was ready for pick up within 20-25 minutes (which is a lot faster than I thought - because the Oakland location can take a while for lunch). When we got there, we saw our ToGo bag order, but no one was in the truck to give us the food, so we had to go into the store nearby and that cashier came out, went into the world Famous Hotboys truck and gave us the food. I ordered the Sando Meal (medium) and it comes with fries. It was spicy but not spicy enough for me haha - my spice tolerance is pretty high. Maybe next time I'll try the higher level. The fries were okay, a little bit dry. The sandwich was filling though. Small parking lot outside and there are 2-3 tables to eat there!

Finally got to try WFH and it did not disappoint! I ordered the sando mild since I'm a wimp lol. Mild was still flavorful and nice subtle kick. The slaw pairs really good in the sandwich. Chicken was nice and crispy. Fries were average crinkle cut but the seasoning makes it good. The sauce is really good here. Similar to Canes but way better. Service was quick and there is bench tables to sit at or take away. Parking can be difficult but theres also street parking available. Can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu.

So so so gassss, but really spicy! I love the Oakland location so I was stoked to see a location even closer to me! First time I came I got the Sando Meal Level Hot. This had my eyes watering, my nose sniffling, and my stomach hurting... but it was delicious. Very well seasoned and the chicken so juicy and tender. Big size too! Second time around I learned my lesson and stuck to Medium Plus and tried the tenders. I got lucky with huge tenders! This was a very tolerable spice level. The jump from medium plus to hot is insane. Overall, best hot chicken in the East Bay. Highly recommend! Service is alright. Nice guy who runs the business. Only was confused cus my friend got the same sando meal as me but with a different spice, yet he charged my meal $1 extra. Second time around, I wanted to get my dad the tender meal level "hot hot." Dude who took my order repeated to me "hot?" and I replied "hot hot." He still put my order as just hot. In terms of location, It's a food truck that's creatively graffitied, located in the same parking lot as a liquor store. They had a bench and table second time I came, but not the first.

Best chicken sandwich, hands down! Soft brioche bun toasted Refreshing coleslaw Pickles Money sauce Huge fried chicken patty seasoned to perfection That is a perfectly constructed combo. Love that they give you extra money sauce on the side for your fries.

Really good chicken sandwiches overall! They are not the same as the Oakland location - the size is smaller here and definitely way less spicy, but that doesn't stop me from coming back. David helped us out today and he was super helpful to our group. He checked on us and everything. This location is food truck style so it's all outdoors - they have a table out front and a couple of shaded ones around the back. The tables had napkins and hand sanitizer. It's next to a convenience store where they seem to share a small parking lot, but there is additional street parking too. I think car groups and rap performances may happen occasionally at night...but I'm not sure if they are affiliated.

First time trying this World Famous Hotboys location in Hayward -- didn't even know they had one out here! I usually go to the Oakland spot, which is a 10/10 every time, so I was a little skeptical if this one would live up. First off, parking is great -- lots of spaces and it's right next to a convenience store in a pretty safe area, which is a huge plus. Staff was alright and friendly. Quick tip: use the QR code to order and watch for a text when your food's ready. I was just standing there waiting for them to call my name, but they actually send you a message too -- didn't realize until later. Food-wise: I got the chicken sando (non-spice) and my boyfriend got the spicy version with fries. Our friend ordered the tenders and fries -- tenders were actually pretty big! Fries were great and generous. The sandwiches though... could've been cooked a bit better. Also, my boyfriend mentioned he wasn't a fan of the sanitation there -- didn't feel the cleanest compared to other locations. Overall: not bad, but it doesn't hit the same as Oakland. Probably wouldn't come back to this location, but still giving it a 4/5.

This is not the healthiest thing in the world, but man is it amazing!! The cheese sauce is incredible, and I love that you can specify your spicy level for the chicken. I usually hate crinkle fries, but they toss them in a really good spice that you can dip in the sauce... 10/10 chicken sando!

First time trying World Famous Hot boys per recommendation of a friend and didn't look at pictures ahead of time - you want to look for a food truck vs a store front. We ordered the Sando Meal with mild spice level, which (I think) uses thigh meat so it was definitely more moist. I think I could have handled one more spice though too. My personal preference is more well-done fries but these were crinkle cut with some spices which was still good. We also had the tenders but I preferred the sandwich. The guy was super nice explaining the menu to us and once we got our meal, gave us some bonuts to try. These are thick and dense but have a nice sweet, sugar layer Definitely would recommend eating it as soon as you can, vs we took it home to eat. But otherwise, can't wait to go back!

Everything was amazing. The Mild plus was the perfect spice level personally. Similar to the spice level of Sriracha (enjoyable, not too spicy personally). The flavors went very well together. Service was great, the cinnamon & sugar biscuit donuts were on the house & much appreciated. Will definitely be back. There isn't a whole lot of seating but it's quick & I'll definitely be back.

Definitely eat at the restaurant if you can because it quickly gets soggy and cold. I always get the 2 slider combo which comes with a side of fries and one of their special sauce. Their sauce is seriously so good and a must with their sliders plus a packet of honey for the sweet and savory combo. I also have tried their loaded buffalo Mac and cheese which comes with a bed of fries and chicken bites on top. Super good but can get quite salty. Overall, definitely an amazing spot for good chicken sliders and fries. I love a good kick so I get their extra hot and sometimes even reaper, which fills my spicy cravings. Only con is that service is inconsistent. Some workers are super nice and friendly while others seem annoyed and bothered. It's also usually really hot inside the store, surprisingly. If you're walking in, the entrance is almost hard to find. There's 2 separate entrances but the doors are single doors in black with no particular effort on the store's part to make the entrance look welcoming. Once you do make it inside though, it is a fun vibe with large disco balls overhead. Their chicken fingers is what's famous. I do think their breading is nice and manages to stay crispy even after bringing it back home to eat 15 minutes later. Flavor isn't particular special. Definitely needs Cane sauce. Fun fact, if you like their sauce, I heard you can order a whole cup's worth. The Texas toast is amazing though. It's a bit sweet, a bit salty from the butter, and it's toasted for a light crisp. Absolutely delicious. Recommend getting the toast with every purchase! The tea was surprisingly not as sweet as I expected. I usually have to mix my McD's sweet tea down with half unsweetened tea so I did that with my tea at Cane's and found it much less sweeter than I thought. Gonna go for full sweet tea next time.

Luckily, this restaurant is closer to our home than any other ones, I think it's only opened a year or 2, quite new. When it first opened, we could buy 8 piece legs and thighs for $12, but the sale is gone, and we had to use the App which does have many deals for family weekly. Last week we're craving for the chicken and got the 12 piece family for only $25 instead of $40 regular, it's a no brainer to go and take them home. When I got there, the nice lady behind the counter asked if we add 8 more pieces for $10, yes please. So, for $35 we got 20 pieces of legs and thighs (we don't like the dry breasts) and 3 large sides order: Mashed Potato, Corn, and Coleslaw. This restaurant is very clean, the servers are extremely pleasant, fast and helpful. The chicken flamed broiled perfectly, juicy and not dry as some other places. Flavorful and Yummy. The sides are extremely good too, everyone loves the mashed potato, it actually has chunks for potato in it and the gravy is plenty and perfectly mate with the potato. I like the corn and coleslaw, better than many other restaurants. It's inexpensive, tasty and the whole family enjoys healthy foods and the best is we don't have to wash the dishes.
