Mold on a biscuits

_This location was HORRIBLE the food and staff. 1st on 3/9 I ordered the fam deal $35.99 12pc 3sides 6 Biscuits. I requested crispy they gave me original the chicken was tough the biscuits was tough missing gravy for my lg mash 3 bbq sauces. Soo.. on 3/10 I call the manager he said he would honor me a another meal and he was sorry. Get to the location to only be treated like I wanted something for free. And tell me I can only get 8 pc so I say ok. Get home the chicken is soggy and wet to find the biscuits with mold on it. Call store back to let them know they stated it maybe from the oven I stated back it's green then she said they are frozen I'm like you need to check ya BISCUITS Bi@TCH close this location the eff down. The worse close the whole company away. I will be call The Health Department.

I was born into a family that probably loves meat more than me. As a result, I occasionally get dragged against my will into meat dominated franchises such as KFC. Therefore, this is not a review based solely on the food, but instead the atmosphere, customer service, location and specials. This KFC was newly built, on Chili Ave, a few years ago. It is located directly on Chili Ave., but sits across from Hinchey Rd. You will see a small strip mall next to the restaurant. Upon entering, you'll notice that everything looks relatively newer. We went on a Wednesday and they are currently running a mid-week special for three pieces of chicken with a biscuit, mashed potatoes and a side of coleslaw for $4.99. On this particular evening, the place was packed full of people. We stood in line for about 5 - 6 minutes and then waited for an additional 6 - 7 minutes for our order to be completed. This seemed to be the average wait for each patron. We were even told by another customer that, "Wednesday's are always busy." I think that this could have something to do with the special they are offering. Customer service was pleasant and accommodated special requests. Overall, it seems to be smoothly operated, however we did have one small hiccup on our order. We requested two thighs and a leg and ended up with two legs and a thigh instead. This error could have been fixed by simply notifying them, but we didn't check until we had already exited the building. You will want to check your food immediately, prior to leaving to ensure that your order is correct. This KFC is owned by the same folks that own the one on University Ave., so there is a familiarity to this location. As far as the food goes, KFC is as KFC does and it's pretty standard for the most part. My husband personally feels that the chicken is too salty for his taste. This could be a personal preference. If the sheer number of people is any indication of good food, I will say that they had a very high volume of customers during our visit.

Boss Fights and Bites Food Review: Sal's Birdland…read more What's good everybody--welcome back to Boss Fights and Bites, where we take on the toughest bosses and the boldest bites. Today, I pulled up to a Rochester classic--Sal's Birdland--famous for their legendary signature sauce. I grabbed the 6-piece chicken wings, and here's how they stack up on the Boss Fights and Bites scale. Flavor = Power-Ups The flavor is where Sal's goes full cheat code. The first bite gave me that crispy crunch, and then the signature sauce hit like grabbing a star in Mario--sweet, tangy, spicy, all layered together. It's bold, it's unique, and it straight-up makes the wings shine. For flavor, I'm giving this 9/10 Power-Ups. Portion Size = Extra Lives Here's where it gets tricky. Six wings? That's like starting a boss fight with only one extra life--you know you're gonna need more to finish the game. The wings were great, but the portion left me still hungry. For portion size, I gotta call it 6/10 Extra Lives. Texture / Cook Quality = Boss Hits Crispy outside, juicy inside--that's how wings are supposed to be. Every bite felt like landing a clean combo on the boss. No soggy wings, no dry meat--just cooked right. For quality, that's 9/10 Boss Hits. Overall Experience = Levels Cleared The vibe at Sal's is pure Rochester culture. The wings, the sauce, the tradition--it feels like something every local knows and every visitor has to try. It's messy, it's bold, and it's got history behind it. I'm calling it 4 out of 5 Levels Cleared. Final Score = Boss Fights and Bites Power Meter Put it all together, and I'm giving Sal's Birdland wings a solid 8.5 out of 10 on the Boss Fights and Bites Power Meter. Legendary flavor, crispy wings, unforgettable sauce--the only thing holding it back is that portion size. And that's the review right here on Boss Fights and Bites--where we mix the games with the eats. If you want wings that hit like a boss battle and a sauce that feels like a power-up, load into Sal's Birdland and see if you can clear the level. Until next time--keep grinding, keep gaming, and keep eating like a champ.
