I went to KFC on 29 Newport Ave, Rumford RI for dinner. I had put my order in (according to the receipt, which will be attached) at 5:36PM. I ordered a Tenders Meal & 2 Spicy Chicken Sandwiches. Very simple order. I was told upon placing my order that the 2 Chicken sandwiches weren't available and that it's a 15 minute wait for them. I said OK, I'll wait. I really wanted them. The order was finally placed at 5:36PM. It took nearly 3 Minutes to get a receipt because the cashier was unable to put the receipt paper in correctly, and had to call a manager for help. 15 Minutes pass. Nothing. I'm observing my surroundings while waiting idle. 25 Minutes Pass. Nothing. There is a bunch of laughing, yelling, playing around in the back. I repeatedly hear the N-Word around a Dozen times during these 25 minutes. Two Males who work in the back with cleaning, and the chicken both messing around with each other spraying the hose, very rowdy. Clearly don't know when to stop fooling around. 30 Minutes pass. Nothing. I'm looking around observing again and I see 2-3 Workers wearing Apple Air Pods in their Ears. They're listening to music while working and taking orders, which is the reason I'm assuming they keep screwing up on them. 2 Orders were returned in the Drive-Thru during the time I was there and I had looked over and seen the person manning the Drive-Thru wearing Air Pods. No wonder they're getting orders wrong, they're not paying attention. I also spot them in the back with multiple domino's pizzas eating them in-between working, not on break. Sometimes they just decide to sit down in the back and not work. I go out to my car and wait. I come back after 35 Minutes have now passed, a bit upset. 35 Minutes pass. I walk in. I'm told that it'll be another 6 to 7 minutes. I said OK. I was offered three free drinks for compensation of my time. One for each of my guests. I decided to ask for a Large Fry to be added to my order. I was offered it for free because once again, I had been waiting an insane amount of time. 38 Minutes have now passed. I just now see them making my order. I noticed the Large Fry was missing. I had to wait an additional 2 Minutes to get the Large Fry, which wasn't added onto my receipt and wasn't charged for. Conclusion: I went to this KFC at 5:36PM for dinner and did not get my order until 6:16PM when I got into the car. It took a total of 40 Minutes for a Tender Meal and 2 Chicken Sandwiches. The reason it took so long is because they're too busy listening to music with Air Pods in one ear and taking orders in the other. They roughhouse and fool around too much to produce a consistent work-effort. They do not fill or stack orders properly which causes items like the Chicken Sandwich to have a 15 minute wait time because none are available even though they're frozen in the next room. I continuously hear racist derogatory remarks such as the N-Word a dozen plus times in the 40 minutes I was there. This is unacceptable business practice, and makes me no longer wish to return here. read more

Chicken was cold, not fresh. Service was just ok at best. Employees using the f-bomb as soon as I walked in dining room and was waiting for my food, very unprofessional. The worst service I've ever received at any restaurant or fast food place ever. This is what happens when you leave teenagers who don't give a crap about anything to run your store. We saw them standing on their phones and also just running around like chickens with their heads cut off. No pun intended awful awful awful don't come here. 12 minutes before anyone even made eye contact, let alone taking my order. Ordered a 12 piece meal, with mixed original and extra crispy. Mashed, slaw and Mac & cheese, with an extra side of gravy. 24 minutes later (yes, I'm sure) I'm asked if they can just give me original since they don't know when the Xtra crispy might be done (my Dad's only request was Xtra crispy, but sure.) Get home, and I've NO gravy and 9 pieces of chicken. The kids in front are obviously overwhelmed, and the one who appears to be the MOD appears competent, but it's also obvious that no one is following her instructions. The kids in the back are loud, swearing and super detached. No professional behavior whatsoever. The other 6 people waiting shake their collective heads at the chaos... and when I stormed back in looking for gravy, most of those 6 were still there, and now the place is packed with people who have no idea what's in store for them. I didn't even mention the 3 pieces of chicken missing, since I had no desire to prove myself. Now I'm sitting down to a late dinner, and there's no dressing on my coleslaw. I'm done. And I'm writing all this so that management knows that they need to be present and accountable. I WON'T get over it and come back. HORRIBLE! absolute worst service I've ever had. my sister waited 30 minutes for 1 single chicken little (1strip of chicken on a tiny bun) they were out of almost everything we wanted. my husband ordered the double down which they said they had, it was approx $14 for the meal which we paid. after paying, we were informed that they were all out of Double Downs. they then gave us another sandwhich in its place but the cost of that Mwal was nearly a $5 difference and they did not offer us money back or even some kind of replacement. there Was a man there before we even ordered that was waiting for a to go order that didn't get his food until we were finished eating and walking out the door. They were slower than slow. And the soda machine was out of ice so the soda was warm and disgusting. Definitely not worth the $30 I pod for our dinner. Will not be returning to this location. I get people have off days but for the few times Ive went there were so disappointing. This place makes me dislike KFC.

They should notify the public when they close earlier than their neighboring rivals. No notification of closure. Just a whole bunch of people sitting in the drive thru, trying to feed their families. After waiting at the speaker for 5 minutes I drove up to the window and was told they were closed. I then took it upon myself to wave off the 20 other people in the drive thru line. I had a somewhat complex order that they filled out perfectly. Leaps and bounds better than the KFC on Taunton ave. This particular KFC is overall just a much better place. I entered the restaurant with my colleague and we both tried the new chicken and waffles. It was a bit of a wait for the food but the busy drive through I'm guessing had something to do with that. Upon receiving our food there were a few blunders with our order. For starters, we order to dine in but received our food to go, no big deal. We also were missing syrup in one of our orders to go with the chicken and waffles. We also did not have any knifes in the bag just 4 forks in each bag. However these problems were easily corrected and we got to eating. The chicken and waffles were actually pretty good considering this was a fast food restaurants take on this tasty dish. The waffle was a bit dry but again it's fast food how high tier of food can you really expect. Overall the staff was friendly, the food was good and the restaurant as well as the bathrooms were clean. Overall a pretty good lunch. Thanks to the Newport ave location for giving me the experience I expected that the location on Taunton ave could not provide. WoW not impressed at all stopped got 8 piece bucket original and chicken littles. Well come home to 6 pieces yup short two pieces and the chicken was dry. Also not happy with the mashed potatoes what happen arm got tired and couldn't fill the bowl up. Then best part chicken little sandwiches some had stuff on it, some didn't. I am not a big KFC person but when it's late and I don't want to go far it is a really close option I just had to make a post because the young men working there were so polite it was such a nice change versus some of the other fast food places. Most disgusting, vomit-inducing food. The potatoes taste like pure artificial crap, the chicken is barely chicken, overly fried and has a weird flavor. I honestly wanted to puke after my meal. Never again will I go to KFC. read more
