    Outside of the building

I guess having restaurants inside of gas stations is a thing now, and seems to be the trend with every new gas station/convenience store combo opening up in the area. After weeks of driving past, I finally had the time to stop in and give this place a try. Inside the building was spacious and clean, there were many food, drink, and snack options in addition to a dedicated fast food chicken counter. On this particular day they were out of everything except chicken tenders so I ordered a 3 piece meal which came with a biscuit and a side. I asked the person taking my order what their favorite side was and she responded with "I don't eat anything except the fries" but the person cooking the food in the back chimed in and very excitedly told me about his favorites and made some recommendations so, based on his suggestion, I went with the mac and cheese. After taking my order, I was handed a slip and told to bring it to the cashier of the gas station to be rung out and then went back to the other counter to pick up my order. I was disappointed that they were also out of their "homemade ranch" dipping sauce but was offered other options so I went with the BBQ sauce instead. The chicken was tasty and well seasoned, it had some heat to it which was a nice surprise. The mac and cheese was okay but the biscuit was the best thing in the box; flaky, buttery, and lip-smacking good. I'm planning on returning at some point in the future to try their chicken sandwich and their homemade ranch dressing.

So good, so darn good…read more The collard greens are tender and not too salty or vinegar-y. Solid. Chicken has a great crispy crunch while staying tender and juicy. I didn't need the dipping sauces. Mac and cheese is thickkkkk. I love a meal with leftovers - made for the best lunch and dinner this past Saturday. Our server was lovely. Drive the bridge. It's worth it. The place is good vibes.

Disclaimer: I don't eat chicken so no comment on that but others in our party did like the chicken…read morevery much. As a non-chicken eater, I ordered salad, hush puppies and the catfish sliders. I was also excited that they had a number of local beers on draft. The salad was pretty average and underwhelming. The hush puppies were also just okay. The catfish sliders were the tastiest of the three but I did find a small piece of bone in one. We chose this restaurant because it was close to an event we were attending later in the evening. Since the chicken was well received, I might come back with other chicken enthusiasts, but unlikely I'd check back here myself. Service was pretty speedy but although we requested separate checks at the start of the meal we still got a combined check and had to ask again for the split. Ambience is nice with a bit of a bistro flair and cute chicken themes. The process of making a reservation here is awkward. You have to request the reservation and then they email you later to confirm it. Would be much more convenient if they did Open Table or Resy. Limited parking too. Their lot is small and we had to park on a side road, which was not a big deal as the road seems to be in an industrial area and was not busy.

Decent amount of seating. Reasonably priced, has a bathroom. Cons: parking. There is some in front, and on the side streets, but it's chalkstone, so it's almost always packed. Breading was a bit thick, but that could just be personal preference. Additional: They sell desserts as well. We got the lava cake, pretty good. Additional: they also sell empanadas

RI Food Fight- Lord of the Wings 2025 Review:…read more First time at TD Chicken! When we walked in, immediately received a nice greeting from the cashier welcoming us. I noticed it was 1. modern and 2. clean. (But I also noticed that there are 2 steps as soon as you walk in- just a heads up.) Our order: Thai Chili wings 1 ham & cheese empanada Water juice diet coke Cheetos And it only cost $6 (Keep in mind we had the wing coupon) But it's also 2025 and I LOVE that they are not price gorging the customer! 1. The empanada: 2 were in our bag! I liked their empanada. Cooked just right. The ham was tiny little cubes and it wasn't oozing with cheese that it's messy. It was just right! 2. The wings: I liked the wings. I do think they aren't fresh but if they were in my neighborhood I would order from them every so often. The thai chili was standard. The owner walked in. Another super friendly greeting! He was super chatty and I learnt that they have only been open for 6 months. I also learned that they have a few more flavors not currently posted on the screen- so ask! Overall: I am rooting for this place!
