Service was pretty bad. The wait was awful. Workers felt unattentive at the speaker and at the window they(actually just one of them) got pissy when we checked our order. If we spend 50 dollars, of course we're going to make sure you got the order right since we were only passing through town and love an hour away. If you make us wait 5 to 10 minutes at the speaker to even finally answer us and take our order you can wait 1 to 2 minutes for us to check our order. 1 worker was tacky and belligerent. They yelled at us when we asked about our mac N cheese that was missing. I originally had told them thank you since I wasn't paying much attention while digging through the bags to check the order but was told by my significant other that the worker's yelling wasn't for us to hear him well, it was just an attitude from him. Judging by the reviews on both yelp and google, I'm surprise this place is opened and surprised inspectors don't practically live there. The drive thru person was extremely rude. She/he just yelled in the speaker! They said that KFC is closed when the time that the building closes is not for another hour and 1/2. The time should specify if one side is open or not. This idea is ridiculous in its entirety either way. The food is all in the same building cooked in the same kitchen. read more

This KFC in Venice, Florida is not very good at all. I've given it 3 chances and it's always the same. It's NOT like the regular KFC places. The chicken is always over done, it's not juicy and the pieces are small. Don't even get me started about the biscuits. If I was told that they were made the day before I would NOT be shocked. They were dried out and crumbling. They went into the garbage. I just don't understand how this KFC can be so bad. Also, the drive-thru girl was snippy. I asked what chicken was the freshest. She didn't answer me. I guess she's never been asked that before. All other KFC's will tell you which chicken recently came out of the fryer. We ate here our first night in Venice. The KFC and Long John Silvers are modernized, like many other locations now. Both menus are available in one easy place! This makes it very easy for my husband and I both to get what we wanted for supper! Good food, fairly priced. Had a hankering for fried chicken and KFC in Venice did not disappoint. First we were greeted by Nicole with a warm smile, very friendly and provided great service. Cook staff also very friendly. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Crispy coating and moist chicken! Sides were awesome. read more

Pretty freaken disappointing at best! This is one of those KFC on one side Taco Bell on the other. While I was on line I was toying with the idea of Taco Bell instead, but continued on the KFC track. I went through the drive thru in Venice Florida on 07/06/2017 Ordered a couple meals and a 8 piece chicken, 40 minutes later I went into the store to find out the status of my order. I am always amazed that this store can never provide services. If you go after 7pm, don't expect chicken, you would think since it's a KFC chicken would be available, especially since they are open until midnight. They don't even offer to make it, they tell you it's not available. It's a chicken place, right?????? What a joke. In many, many years, they have still failed to provide a management team to clean this store up. I can't believe that every Taco Bell and KFC I visit has great food, except for this one. I wish I could give less than 1 star. While the chicken was good, the rest of the experience was not worth it. I pulled into the parking lot and waited at least 15 minutes to place my order in the drive thru. When I did, a man said "I'll be right with you". 5 minutes later, a woman comes in, takes my order and then says hold on. Comes back 5 mins later and retakes my order. I ask for coke and she says "we don't have coke" not something like "is Pepsi ok?" Very bad customer service imho. Then it takes another 15 minutes to get to the window to pay and another 2 mins to get my soda. I ask what the problem is and she says she has no idea. (Same chick with the coke/Pepsi issue). After 45 minutes I finally got my order: k11 -3 pieces of chicken, mashed with gravy, coleslaw, med soda and biscuits. When I opened up the bag, NO coleslaw and NO biscuits! This is a STANDARD offering from their menu. No extras requested. They really need to get their act together or sell the franchise to someone who gives a s**t! read more

We ordered a bucket of original recipe for a picnic. When we arrived at the beach we sat down to eat our chicken and it smelled aweful and tasted worse. Tasted like old motor oil and it was brown and mushy. It did not even look like chicken. We were so disgusted we spit it out and threw the entire 12 piece bucket in the trash. We were now 10 miles away or we would have returned it and got our money back. The health department should inspect this filth they serve. I love Kentucky fried chicken. It was my favorite untill i visited this location. I don't know if this is a derelict franchise owner, bad employees or corporate Pepsi co. Probably all three to blame. The worst KFC. Ordered 8 pc meal. All pieces were dark and overcooked. No breast included. The biscuits were so hard it was impossible to eat them. We threw all of the food in the trash. Was going to call to let them know how horrible the food was. You guessed it. NO RECEIPT. I think the receipt is left out for a reason. I was warned by more than one neighbor not to go there. Worst job I have ever had. Worst quality of fast food I have ever had. Least clean restaurant I have ever worked at. Worst management I have ever seen or heard of. I am not exaggerating anything nor am I saying any of this because I am a disgruntled employee. This job/ restaurant was by far and honestly the worst job and food i can imagine. Everyone knows that any fast food place has things to hide and most people (including myself ) try not to think of them. But I strongly suggest that if you do eat here... go there anytime from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. I would not recommend eating there any later. It is usually the same food sitting there all day.
