My husband has gotten bowls from here several times, but I've only ordered from here once. I got the fried dumplings (stuffed with pork and vegetables) and they were really good. If I was on the go, I could see myself just ordering those dumplings. For my main meal, I ordered the KFire Pork Belly Bowl and really liked it. The vegetables they accompanied the meat were so fresh tasting and I thought that the portion size of the bowl was filling enough. This place is great. I placed a to-go order while stuck in traffic and I actually arrived a bit too early. No problem. They started firing up my to-go order right away (so the food was fresh- who would complain about that?) The owner is an extremely friendly person and went out of his way to double down on the service. Let me taste the mushrooms (which are really good by the way! I recommend them)--offered me a drink while I waited for my food. Above and beyond on the quality of the service. I meant to order the spicy chicken but I got the soy-ginger chicken instead and that was 100% on me for fat-fingering my order. The portion of chicken was more than generous, the food was warm, flavorful. Honestly, when you go to chipotle and you get the little gristle bits of chicken in your mediocre burrito? I felt it was a little on the pricey side and would've been nice if you got a little bigger portions. Super solid place and great for the price. It's especially great because they're one of the places that are open pretty late and the food comes out pretty quick. I definitely need good quick food because I'm coming here late in the night after my workouts so this place is literally everything I'm looking for when I'm starving. I got the Kfire platter and it's a fantastic value for it's price. Great flavors and the mix of two sides with the onions are delicious. My favorite thing about Korean food is the side dishes so I was pleasantly pleased. The only thing is I wish I had more but for about a $10 bowl you can't beat it. We also had the fried dumplings which were pretty solid dumplings but the best part is that they came out super fresh, hot, and crispy. I definitely enjoyed the texture more than the flavor but they were still 4 out of 5 for me. The place itself was very well lit and super clean. Super friendly staff and biodegradable take out boxes (the bottoms, anyhow-- tops are recyclable!) with an "impossible" option and a mushroom option if you're meat-free (or just love mushrooms?). The honey bokki dessert was a little much for me, but if you really get into the sauce and also probably share it, not a bad final bite. I've ordered from here twice now and was impressed both times. You can tell that they are really grilling the meat to order, which is incredible rare for a fast casual restaurant. All of the ingredients seem super fresh. The dumplings (fried potstickers) are tasty and very crispy. The bokki fries were different, they have an interesting texture, but are very flavorful as well. For the entrees, I've tried the soy ginger beef (my favorite) which is sliced super thin and has a sweet sauce, the spicy chicken and the soy ginger chicken. All the meats, both times I got food from here, were cooked perfectly; tender as well as caramelized and smoky from the grill. It would also be very easy to find some low calorie and/or vegetarian options here. The marinated mushrooms and cucumbers are really good as well. I think the perfect bite is to get the soy ginger beef and pair it with the green onion salad and marinated mushrooms; the salad has a light, slightly sour vinaigrette, the mushrooms are acidic, and the beef is sweet, so it all just balances perfectly. We were in the neighborhood for a meeting, and wanted to get something good before heading back north. Man was this a good choice. We got the soy ginger (wife) and spicy chicken (me), both were well flavored and grilled just right. The spicy chicken has good kick, def floating around a 5-6 out of 10 on the casual spice scale. You can step it up to a higher spice level if you're so inclined (I will next time!). It's got solid gochujang flavor, which frames nicely against the side items like the cucumber or daikon, as well as the green onion salad which comes standard. We also got the 1+2 ball and dumplings. The ball was like a Korean-inspired arancini and I loved it. Dumplings were good too. Regret not ordering some of the bokki fries, they sound delicious. Great addition to the Logan area! The new spot at Logan square is definitely a gem there. They serve all these different Korean style grill meat as well as those side dishes in a perfect portion so that you can hit all the spots you need from Korean food. I have been to Kfire a few times ,but im afraid I wont be back for a while. My two bowls were both served at first cold, I was afraid I was going to get sick after my first bite. After telling the young guy working my meat was cold he said "I don't know what to tell you". I was then helped by the cook who told me "do not worry about it" The cook then heated up the chicken and they gave me back my food 15 minutes later, this time the rice was hard because it had been sitting now for half an hour. I did bite into another piece of chicken and it was still cold. After coming up to the register again with the cold food I was directed by the guy at the register who's name was Jhon not sure if he gave me a fake name to a lady who worked in the back of the house. I did ask for a refund and was given one , but I had to write the review solely because of the costumer service I received from the guy working in front. After I asked for a receipt for my refund I was told by the guy at the register to please leave. I did not raise my voice or give attitude , but I was confused as to why I was asked to leave the establishment. I recommend Kfire because its really good. I personally love their Kalbi and The KFIRE salad. The fried dumplings and the rice ball is really good too.
