Excellent duck soup, salad rolls and pho. Most of the time the service is good and it is rare that I have had to wait long.

I stopped in here for lunch after craving some Pho. I was surprised to find BBQ Pork Steam buns on the appetizer menu, of course I had to have one. The buns were some of the best I've had. $5 for (2) large buns, so a fair deal. The Pho was ok, I had the combo, beef steak and meatball. Flavour was moderate and no way to spice it up on the table. This is a medium size place right by Albertson's. The decor is a little tacky, but the food is decent, though there is not a very wide variety. Aside from the appetizers, the menu consists of mostly pho style bowls, and a couple other things like chicken curry. I ordered the P1, which include beef balls and beef slices. I'm not a big fan of beef balls, but as there wasn't an option without them, I tried them anyway. They were pretty typical, as was the sliced beef. The soup came with bean sprouts and basil on the side, though I ordered a large, not sure if the small comes with that. I'm not a big fan of cilantro, which is part of the main bowl of soup, but I didn't taste it enough to detract from the rest of the pho. Service decent, and attentive. I totally got my asian cred card revoked though because, apparently, "real" asians would know not to even try taking the half of soup they didnt finish home. Overall, I've had better pho at the 2 places on W 11th in Eugene. The pho here is passable, so if I really need pho I'll come back, but since there's not much else on the menu, I don't see myself coming back for any other reason. read more

I try to make it my mission to try Pho wherever I go to better appreciate it. So I was in town and decided to hit up this place. I ordered the regular $6.75 Pho Dac Biet which is just beef flank, meatballs, and beef. It tasted good. Wasn't the best but wasn't the worst pho I've ever had. It was good enough for me to pretty much down the whole soup. I also ordered a plate of seven Shumai for $5 since I haven't had that in a while. It was good. Definitely hit the spot. The tangy sauce that came with it was pretty good Service was ok. Could use some improvement as it took quite awhile for them to get back to me. But the people here seem pretty nice. Absoutely the best Pho in town. I've tried several other dishes there and enjoyed them too. But my go-to with this place is their Pho. Just remember to ask for the bean sprouts and basil because they don't automatically give them to you when you order. read more

Very Hard working and dedicated kitchen staff who deserve 5 stars! However the rest is more of a 2 to 3 star operation. Food is ok, similar in quality to what one typically gets from mobile vendors of asian food at special events, food carts, concerts and Saturday markets. Portions are on the light side, even for the typical price of $8 to $10 per entree. For example, a large pho order for $10 is about the size of a regular at many other shops. Agree with previous reviewer that this is one of the rare Vietnamese pho places where you must ask for the fresh vegetable sides such as bean sprout, lime and basil. One area for improvement is for the owners to be more customer friendly and not be stingy. For example, charging for what must cost only a 5 to 10 cent empty tiny 1oz condiment container with to go orders. To go customers asking for a small complimentary amount of seasoning to go on the side such as chili and soy sauce seems a reasonable ask. read more

Fresh, home-cooked sensible (no MSG hangover), Pho so delicious! If I could add anything it would be more fresh salad roll varieties. The owner works his tail off for this place. He is dedicated, often there on site til 3am overseeing and prepping fresh vegetables. He stopped by our table, sat down with us a while, taught us how he himself meditates. I was not expecting much since this is Corvallis and the only game in town when it comes with Vietnamese food. The folks who have reviewed this place and said the soups are to die for have no clue what good pho is. Sorry... Service was definitely spotty. The young gentleman who helped bring out our food was pleasant but the old man nice to only a few folks, The older gentleman took the order of those who arrived later than we did first even though we were ready to order almost immediately. I also noticed he was friendlier towards certain patrons. Not sure why we were treated differently. Despite all that, we still tipped 18% for the efforts of the young gentlemen. For the food, we ordered the "salad rolls" aka goi cuon. The rolls were tasty but came out of the fridge premade. Hmm... These rolls should always be made to order and room temperature. I found the peanut sauce to be a bit on the sweet side but still good overall. Inside the rolls, they were a cheap on the ingredents. Besides the shrimp, there should have been actual pieces of pork and not pork sausage which is dirt cheap. Pork sausage is a super cheap filler and we only had one slice per roll in there. Also there was one piece of mint in each rolI. I also noticed they added picked veggies (the kind in Vietnamese sandwiches). I am not going to ding them for not being authentic but pickled veggies in the rolls were odd. For $4.50 for two rolls, this was pretty expensive with the filler items and being stingy on proper ingredients. We also has the pho which was eh..... The noodles used were the cheap packaged kind and were dry. The soup was not great but not the worst. Trader Joe's frozen pho is much tastier and authentic. Not only were they stingy on the meats but they were not fresh and were tough. Ever tasted meat that's been sitting in the fridge for days. I have a feeling the meats were cooked days before and served . Lastly, the small bowl was indeed small. The bowl was so small, it was enough for a child. Lastly, I didn't like how this place nickled and dimed you. They charge $1.00 for asking for an extra plate, $1.00 to substitute something you make not like in your pho and you have to ask for bean sprouts for your pho which should always come with the meal. It's really a shame that this place runs their business like that and lucky for them they're the only Vietnamese option in this area of Corvallis. i'm afraid yelp has led me astray on this one. I've been here twice for lunch in the last week and everything my group has ordered has been excellent - noodle bowls, red salmon, combo fried rice, appetizer dumplings, and more. We haven't tried the pho yet but I'm sure it's good. The food comes out relatively quickly, hot and fresh, even during the lunch rush. Service has been fine, especially on the repeat visit when we realized we were supposed to go to the front to pay. My only critique would be the dated interior, but it feels authentic to me - the kind of thing you'd expect at a neighborhood Asian restaurant. It doesn't detract from the quality of the food at all. I can't believe it's taken me so long to find this place, as it's one of the best restaurants in Corvallis. It's a new addition to the lunch rotation, for sure. read more

Here is food like you wish your mother made, served in a very friendly down home way. Our family eats here frequently and we have out of town friends who request to come here because they crave the pho broth, or the pork bun bowl (h7 on the menu) . We love the sizzled salmon, the banh xeo, the black tofu banh loc noodles, and always order the great salad rolls as a starter. The food is fresh and consistent. The owners and their nephew are always in the house , service is outstanding and sometimes includes table side magic tricks . This restaurant is a bright spot in the Corvallis roster of pizza places and beer/barbecue parlors, burger joints. Great food, authentic, and at a reasonable to low price. Enjoy! read more

It's my new go to place for my pho cravings. I used to go to another place but after dealing with the rude owners, my family got fed up and decided to give this place a try. This pho kicks anyone else's pho out of the water, not to mention it's only 7.50 for a large bowl. It's so flavorful and just feeds the soul. Overpriced and not great service. Ordered a lunch that was $9.50 and asked for "a little extra curry sauce." Waitress said sure, no problem. No mention of an extra charge. Get the bill and they charged me FOUR DOLLARS EXTRA for extra sauce! I said "wow, had I known it cost that much I wouldn't have ordered it..." I was visiting my son at college and we were craving some pho on National Noodle Day LOL. This was the only place in Corvallis that served pho that I found, obviously Corvallis loves it's pho - the place was packed! SUPER friendly staff (probably family), limited menu of decent pho at very reasonable prices. They didn't automatically serve the side plate of bean sprouts, lime, basil and jalapenos which I had to ask for tho which is strange..... the dumplings we had as an appetizer were delicious! Got the vegetarian chow mein. It came out at room temperature, but I didn't think anything of it. Tasted pretty good. Also got coffee, pretty good as well. Tasted like thai iced coffee, but with a bit less cream. Afterwards I went grocery shopping. I didn't have to buy any stool softener, if you pick up what i'm laying down. Wife got sick as well. If the service were unfriendly they'd be getting one star for the food poisoning, but I don't want to put these nice people out of work. This is the first place I ever had Pho back in the 90's with a vietnamese friend. The atmosphere is nothing special but the food is incredible. The owner is very nice and very friendly to our children. My favorite menu item is the P4 and I have been ordering it for over 10 years. I love this place. One of the best authentic Asian restaurants in Corvallis. I usually go there for pho, but everything I've had there was always delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner and employees are very nice and friendly. I also really like that the owner is a vegan, so he offers a vegan alternative to pho, which you can't generally find at other pho restaurants. Rude owner.We guys were waiting to long time (about 40mins) for the meal.Then we saw other one who come here after than us and order the same meal got the meal before us. Feelsbad and we gotta go. They tried to let us do not leave so they made a Too worse meal noodle soup then normally too fast. Then I realized that it's bad noodle(the noodles all short and taste bad). I talked to them owner.And that owner was too disrespect and rude to me. give us the two options: 1.first options one is throwing out the old one and u need pay that.2. Change the new one which is rest of noodle left before and u also need to pay that. And then I want to talk about this problem after I finished the new one. I discovered Kim Hoa's just this past year and am so happy our friends introduced us to this place. It serves Vietnamese food with good portions for very reasonable price, and is absolutely delicious. Our favorite go-to dishes are the Wonton Noodle soup and Flame Broiled pork noodles bowl, though I'm sure any other dish you order will be fantastic. Been going here for over a year. Pho is decent (not the best, but pretty good for Corvallis food)but service has always been terrible. Today will be the last time I eat here due to getting a to-go order of two phos...pretty simple order that shouldn't take too long. Waiter said 20 min wait ...no problem, tipped and waited in my car. Came back in after 25 min just so I didn't seem as if I was rushing them. Other people were waiting there for their orders that had come in after me getting impatient. I Kept waiting for 10-15 more mins. Finally went up to ask, after the people that had ordered after me were getting their dinner. When asking, another waiter came back out and said the kitchen was just starting the pho and walked away. I waited until the first waiter came by that had taken my order just trying to ask again to see if that was true and if so to just cancel my order. The waiter became impatient with me, interrupted me and said that I had ordered at a specific time showing me his time stamp (40 min ago)treating me as if I was such a burden and was crazy to even think about asking about my food that I ordered and that I was out of my mind and such a nuisance. Food came out right after the waiter was becoming flustered. Wouldn't have been such a problem if the waiter had been professional and apologized about the food coming out so late. I get it, it can get busy and every customer expects your undivided attention, but I've been a waitress before for over 4 years and I never once treated customers like this place has. read more

We headed to Kim Hoa's tonight for an impromptu dinner out with two kiddos in tow. I had heard good things about the food from friends and really didn't feel like cooking. As we pulled up, the kids wanted to head home immediately due to the appearance of the place but with some encouragement we made it to our table. There were beautiful painted umbrellas I distract the kids hike we ordered and waited for our food to arrive. The kids enjoyed the potstickers and lemonade and one of them ate her wonton soup. My husband and I enjoyed the pho. It didn't have as many veggies as in other places but I didn't ask specifically. Every dish that passed our table looked fantastic and I'm looking forward to returning and trying more of the menu. read more
