The chocolate taste was rich and decadent while the jam on top was sweet but not cloyingly sweet. The fresh raspberries on top were not only a pretty decoration but each raspberry was perfect. We also tasted the cannele that were perfectly made with a hint of orange and a center that is not dry but moist and very enjoyable. By the time we were seated and learned there were only five menu options available, with no access to the regular brunch menu, it was too late to make alternative plans. Not wanting to spend the holiday scrambling for another restaurant, we decided to stay and make the best of it. For the price, the food was underwhelming. Most of the dishes were mediocre, and my filet was noticeably overcooked. I had specifically been looking forward to trying items from their brunch menu, so finding out it wasn't available was disappointing. The cocktails were visually appealing but overly sweet and lacked balance. Another disappointment was the seating. Despite making reservations in advance, we were not seated in one of the restaurant's signature enchanted booths. To be fair, there are only three of these themed booths in the entire restaurant. The rest of the dining room felt somewhat dated and cluttered with dusty artificial plants. The overall atmosphere didn't quite match the magical experience portrayed online and on social media. The staff did make an effort to celebrate Mother's Day by giving moms elf ears and light-up tiaras, which was a fun touch and added to the theme. In the end, I left feeling disappointed. The concept and marketing create high expectations, but the food, seating experience, and overall value didn't quite live up to the hype. Today's experience was 4 star (I could do 4.5 if that was an option). The St Louis Ribs are my favorite along with brisket. But I just can't eat that much anymore, so I limited myself to just the ribs. The half rack was 6 big bones. I like my ribs naked so I can taste the rub. Sure enough, them puppies came with no sauce which allowed me enjoy the rub (pretty good but I wanted more) and to try the varying sauces available (Sweet and Spicy being the winner). I found the ribs to be meaty but dry. The expected slip n slide fat feature had been evaporated. The chunky potato salad side was disappointing and the few chucks were close to mashed potato texture and the dressing was too liquid. Hog Wild used to have a smoked Turkey sando which my DW loves. Unfortunately, it has disappeared from the menu and now Chicken is the only poultry option. She reported it to be good but dry. Her Caesar salad though was terrific. Good sized, we both ate it and still couldn't finish it. One minor suggestion. As you have Pepsi products for fountain drinks; adding Pepsi Zero would be a popular thing. Zero is much better than the Diet in our experience.
