6/30/2026: Expensive baked goods~OOOOOOooooof‼ POS PROOF=I have never paid over $20.28 for THREE baked goods especially, while residing in FRANCE!!!! Reiterating, I have NEVER EVER PAID over $5.00 for the finest Pâtisserie in FRANCE for baked goods!!!! Moreover, I overheard a price quote for over $300.00 for a measly birthday cake and thirty cupcakes! Meanwhile . . . I was overtly, unabashedly, OVERTLY CAKED!!!! Three bakery items costing $20.28-SERIOUSLY???? Disappointingly, all three baked goods were shockingly DRY, lacking moistness, the Ganache wasn't flavorful, the Magic Bar was hard as a rock while the Brownie was too chewy and hard to swallow--HARD PASS. Question: Does CAKED use high-quality, artisanal ingredients including, specialty chocolates, fresh fruits, and organic dairy products, eh???? BTW: "Pâtisserie" is legally protected name which succinctly defines only bakeries employing a licensed "Master Pastry Chef" aka, "Maître Pâtissier" who may charge an exorbitant fee for gourmet sweets. Does Caked have an employed, LICENSED Maître Pâtissier originating from France, eh? If CAKED does employ a LICENSED Maître Pâtissier then, the bakery must post at the bakery entrance. If not, CAKED must decrease all bakery price points--STAT or GET OUT of Placerville! YET and finally, Pâtisserie's Master Pastry Chefs never overcharge in order, creating permanently reoccurring patronage. Therefore, I will NEVER patronize CAKED because their bakery price points are egregiously OVERTLY CAKED and out of economic alignment as well as their baked goods lack moistness, i.e., too DRY and hard as a ROCK!!!! read more

Caked was recommended to me, and I am so glad I gave it a try! Everything we tried was delicious, but the cinnamon roll was the standout for me, I'll definitely be craving that one again. Yum! We enjoyed it the next day with coffee and it was still so fresh and delicious. The cake jars were also a huge hit and made it hard to choose a favorite flavor. The employees were friendly and welcoming, and the shop itself is clean, adorable, and such a fun place to visit. I'll definitely be back! read more

Awesome new bakery in the Apple Farm Place retail center next door to Grocery Outlet. It had a soft opening on May 1. Very nicely done! When you walk in, everything is well laid out and inviting. Mandy, the owner is friendly and answered my questions. They have a nice selection of full sized cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and ice cream. I ended up buying 2 different cupcakes. Can't wait to come back and try other goodies! read more

If you need a cake for any occasion, please please do yourself a favor and come to Mandy for it!! I ordered a plain and simple smash cake for my daughter's first birthday photos and I completely messed up the size when ordering. I went to pick it up close to closing time and with no hesitation Mandy went out of her way to make me a new one in time for the event that was the size I should've ordered all along. The Ambience is fresh, warm and clean. Loved the treats especially the magic bars. The cupcakes,were moist and frosting was yummy. Their icecream sandwiches are large and showcase the many flavors they have in their icecream case. It is great to have a classy and yummy place to go for a special treat.
