My family and I came here today and was yelled at by a woman saying that it's private property and we cannot wait on their property (we all came in 3 separate cars so one got there early and was waiting for the rest). I thought it was extremely rude. Yelp and Apple map both has this business open for business. How were we to know they're closed for the season?? What is wrong with these business owners that they can't treat potential customers properly? Or better yet, what is goin' on in this world that people can't be decent enough to communicate with fellow human being nicely and respectfully? Never coming back here and if you're reading this, please consider putting your money at businesses who treat people well. Besides I read their pastries aren't any good anyway. Ambiance: ghetto What could they improve on? They need to be better human first and foremost and then treat their potential customers well. Maybe make better baked goods. read more

Dabble in some apples!! Sunday 9:45am no wait because they open at 10am lol, but the ladies were nice enough to help us out and take our order!! Food: We bought 2 frozen mini apple crisp pies. They are perfection and delicious !!! There are plenty of other flavors and pies that are frozen or you can order freshly baked pies to eat. There are two different buildings right beside each other. The Apple bakery is on the right and the Apple pantry with frozen pies and Jams is on the left. If you don't see anyone just go to the bakery and say "hello." Oven instructions: we bought 2 pies in case we messed up the oven instructions. The 1st time we followed the instructions, but the pie didn't seemed cooked or hot enough ( all ovens are different) the 2nd time we increased the temp to 375 and left it in the oven for 1 hour. We then let it cool for 20-30minutes. The second time was so much better and how it was intended to be. My husband and I devoured these pies lol. In the pictures is the type of oven we have (GE oven) Other: $$$$ cost of pies increased throughout apple hill farms which is understandable. I love helping out locally owned businesses! Off the beaten path of other Apple Hill Farms, Apple Pantry Farm is a small, unassuming little farm stand with a bake shop and small gift store. It's a scenic drive to get here and they're set up with small tables to enjoy your goodies. I really loved some of the hand crafted items they had for sale and they even featured a local artist selling her wares at one of the tables. We stopped here after Delfino farms was too packed, and boy are we glad we did. Delicious apple and rhubarb pie and apple turnover! The pies themselves aren't too sweet, which we loved, but you can add ice cream and/or cider caramel if you want it sweeter. The cider too was out of this world delicious! We regretted not buying a whole gallon of it. Sure the big farms are nice and have amenities, but this is a don't-miss for the simplicity of delicious food and kind people. read more

We have lived right down the street from this place for more than a decade and had just never been. This afternoon we decided to run over and try it. What a huge disappointment. I have no idea how this place has stayed in business. We paid $8 for the smallest most pathetic slice of pie I have ever seen in my life. As the nice kid handed us our slice of pie, my husband and I raised an eyebrow to each other, but then sat down to taste it. Maybe it would be delicious pie worth the price? Sadly no. It was disgusting. The apple filling had no flavor and the crumb topping only tasted of raw uncooked flour. Really really bad. We eat tried a bite and then snuck over to the garbage can and tossed it before jumping in the truck to race down the road and fight the crowds at Delfino's. Oh well, now we know. Very small and pricey, not much appealed to us so we didn't get a chance to try any of the food or drinks. They had a sample of brie cheese with their jam available so I popped one in my mouth. Unfortunately, the brie was probably sitting out for a while, making for a pretty unsavory mouthful. I feel like they should provide fresh samples upon request instead to avoid experiences like mine. read more

We weren't keen on the big crowds at the biggest orchards over the weekend. Apple Pantry was perfect: delicious dutch apple pie, wonderful personal service, and a very pleasant place to bring a picnic and enjoy it with a piece of pie. Our old go to place changed hands so we've been trying baked goods at various farms. This is our new go to place. Although there are only a few different kinds of pies these were fabulous! We had the apple berry crumb and turnover. What we liked the most was they were not super sweet as all the other places, so you can taste the fruit and pastry. Small place but totally worth it. Their shop sells a ton of whole pie options for you to take home and indulge. Not sure what you'd like to buy? Wander on over to their awesome little bake shop, which is staffed by the friendliest people EVER in Apple Hill history, and order up a slice of the various pies they offer up. Hubby opted for the classic apple (best we've ever had!), while I went for the apple crisp (I loooove streudel crumble topping!). Both were excellent; we could have gotten them a la mode and/or with caramel cider sauce (we preferred "purist" style) for no extra charge (unheard of in Apple Hill!); we could have gotten them warmed up, but wanted them as-is. Our $1 cups of cider were delicious, refreshing, and nice and cold. Yummers! I cannot wait to try the Dutch apple, or blackberry apple, pie. And I must have missed seeing the pumpkin butter, because I looooove that stuff...oh well, gives me good reason (not that I needed it) to come back here :) We are ALWAYS going to hit up Apple Pie Pantry when we go to Apple Hill. Picked up a mini dutch apple pie here last weekend at the Sacramento Midtown farmer's market and it was amazing. A slice of this pie and a scoop of Gunther's vanilla ice cream is my new favorite dessert. Very yumm and will be getting more in the future. read more

We drove up and tried this place due to the good reviews it has received so far. We got the apple blackberry pie with streusel topping. The filling had no flavor what so ever, like they forgot the sugar and spices, and the crust was raw. I still have that taste in my mouth. The staff were very friendly, the pie not so much. read more

Love this little farm, and that it's not crowded. My husband and I came here earlier today and it was delicious! We split a slice of their Berry Apple pie for $5 and that includes a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, fresh and not super sweet. The crust was really good too, believe it was just their regular crust but was slightly crumbly to me, just super good. They had other pie options to choose from as well, even a 'no sugar added' apple pie. Will definitely be coming here again next time we're in Apple Hill. read more

Are you overloaded on sweets at all of the other Apple Hill growers? Try the tamales at Apple Pantry. We had the chicken tamale, which was meaty, and a little spicy and comes with a side of salsa. I've made tamales with people who have old family recipes and this one rivals those. We also tried the apple turnover which was very good. Light pastry and tons of filling. It's a little further away than the rest of the growers, but a good way to get away from the crowds. read more

Fantastic pie!!! By-pass the other apple orchards (and craft tents) and head straight to Apple Pantry Farm, #37 on 'the Apple Hill map'. You will not be disappointed! My husband and I are not fond of crowds and this farm is perfect for a quiet piece of pie heaven. The people are so nice, and the service is great. We arrived around 11:30am on a Sunday, ordered 2 tamales (1 chicken, 1 pork), and 2 cups of cider. Delicious! Then, we ordered 2 pieces of pie (classic apple, Apple blackberry crunch) a la mode. OMG! The best pie in the world. We wanted another piece oink, oink, so we wandered down to the store and bought two frozen pies to go, plus Apple cider made next door and some pumpkin butter. We used to go here ALL the time when we lived in Sacramento. I took my son every fall; it became a fun family tradition to run through the leaves at the orchards, and eat treats at the bake shop. They are still some of the best I've ever had: EVERY kind of pie you can imagine, and all of them are excellent! To this day I have never had a better apple pie, and I still talk about it. One Christmas, I accidentally ordered a low-sugar apple here, but it was so good we didn't even notice the lack of sugar! I can't recommend this place highly enough. Can't wait to take my now-11 year-old back for a visit in the fall! Don't pass it up if you're in the area and it's September or later. read more

Friendly friendly friendly. So I've always hated apple butter. The consistency sucks. It looks weird. It has an awful color. Hailey from apple pantry convinced me to try some. She's cute, friendly, and has good recommendation of the various products In her store. The apple butter was very good. Dare I even say It was delicious. They have some frozen unbaked goods in the freezer and even sell local wine cork bird houses. The pie shop on the hill showed all the types of pies they made. It was pretty packed and the pies flew off the shelf. Will visit again very soon. read more

Absolutely delicious pie! Had a Dutch crunch with ice cream. Much better than Larson's which we tried last year. The place was lovely to sit and eat at and not too crowded.
