Second, my car started telling me it needed service. Because it was fairly new to me, I didn't know what that meant. Gills took the l time necessary to talk with me about what was and was not needed. They were patient and understanding of my comparative ignorance of things mechanical. I recommend them highly.

I said I wasn't going to have the car much longer so why would I want to spend that kind of money on a battery. I said I'd get a battery & bring it there for them to install. they said okay. I took them the battery & expected the oil change to be done & I could take my car. Wrong! They had still not done the oil change & their reason was that they couldn't do it if the car had a dead battery. I thought since they were an auto repair shop that they could figure out how to do an oil change on a car that needed a battery, like use a battery that they keep on hand just for this reason. But no I had to leave my car over the weekend. when it still wasn't ready on Mon evening I was pissed. I said just install the battery, forget the oil change. they'd had my car for 3 days & done nothing, then they charged me $60 to install the battery, saying that they really should have charged me the full diagnostic charge which is $120.00.
