We've been taking our youngest to her since birth and have moved our others kids to this practice. The nurses are all wonderful. We've always gotten great scheduling. Recently one of our little suffered an ankle injury and they got us seen within 30 minutes and pulled out all the stops to get them to the orthopedist immediately. We are so incredibly greatful to everyone at Vanderbilt pediatrics and highly recommend. The care has been excellent all around.

I switched to this therapy…read morecenter after a short stint at Mark Their Words (had a terrible experience there), and the care my child received was night and day. My daughter has autism and actually started using some words within 4 months. Anna and Autumn at the front desk have top tier customer service, they try their best to fit you into scheduling if you need another time than your kid's normal scheduled appointment, and the finance department will work with you so your child can continue to receive therapy if you get behind as long as you talk to them. My daughter had 2 therapists here before going with Carly... all three were knowledgeable and worked with my daughter at her own pace. I personally love Carly who introduced us to the AAC device and is currently undergoing that process to see if it's a good fit for my kid. if I could give 10 stars to Cornerstone, I would. Hate that'll I'll be moving away next year as I will miss this facility, but I know my daughter is receiving the best care for speech therapy until we finally leave.

Why did they make the appointment with the nurse practitioner many months ago if I needed to see my primary first? UPDATE: I was told that the nurse practitioner and the primary doctor aren't on the same "team". So that is an excuse have have me lose a day's pay? Instead of conducting a thorough physical exam or actually reading the hospital records I provided, the provider relied on instant stereotyping and bias. They completely ignored the medical history and immediately jumped to filing a false child services report.As a new mom, this gross negligence completely shattered my postpartum recovery. I had to put my own physical and mental health to the side to defend against an administrative nightmare that never should have happened if this provider had simply done their job and read the chart.To be judged, stereotyped, and subjected to malpractice on our very first visit is unacceptable. Parents--especially those recovering postpartum--please beware of the lack of due diligence, systemic bias, and complete disregard for maternal and medical history at this practice.

We love Dr. Crawford at this Children's Clinic which is closer to where we live. We chose this one because of its affiliation with the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. When this clinic is closed, their sister clinic in Springfield isn't too far away. We can see Dr. Crawford at that clinic also. We checked in ten minutes before his appointment time. After filling out the questionnaire on their touchpad, we went to sit in the Well waiting room. Just a few minutes later, the nurse called baby's name. Weighed baby (on the big scale for his first time), then proceeded to a room. It was comfortable (not too cold not too warm) and smelled clean. (Benefits of being the first appointment of the day!) The nurse was nice and friendly. Baby seemed to not mind being measured by her. He didn't enjoy being on his back, but what active baby or toddler does! Waiting for the doctor to come in wasn't too long. She arrived smiling and upbeat as usual. That always makes me forget about any wait. Baby was very receptive to having his vitals checked by his doctor. I held him, so he would feel safe. I loved how excited Dr. Crawford was to show us his growth charts...and compliment on baby's rapid growth this year. She answers all of my questions thoroughly and puts me (first-time mom here) at ease. I think it helps that she has a little one at home also. The struggle is very real. I highly recommend her!

And, I've found it quite difficult to find the right fit, to be honest. So, early on, I really struggled to find the right physician and group for my kids. And, the fact is, when you choose your child's doctor, you aren't just making that choice - you are choosing the office staff, the physical office space and location, the hours, the other group physicians, etc. We lived in Franklin years ago, when my kids were little. I have plenty of "horror" stories of the various physicians and groups we tried out then. From 2004-2008 we were in Florida, and it was even more difficult there - I never found a physician I was confident in! When moving back to Tennessee, a lot of prayer (yes! prayer) went into my search for a new pediatrician. Dr. Pinkley was the first we saw, and we've never regretted that decision. Fantastic facility (and I've been in some nasty offices!), pleasant and helpful staff, generous office hours, great nurses, and we've had good experiences with the other doctors, the few times we were unable to see Dr. Pinkley. We've used this group for 7 years now, and never looked back. We love Dr. Pinkley!

I had not met a doctor or a nurse or any other medical provider yet. I did not feel comfortable committing to that financial obligation before meeting the doctor. I had zero information about the birthing location, common practices there, etc etc! The billing rep got flustered when I asked to sign the contract after my second appointment, and told me in a smug tone that I couldn't see the doctor that day unless I signed the financial contract. I got up and left. I feel that this office takes advantage of women in a vulnerable state by making them choose between the wellbeing of their baby and financial resources. That they use COVID as an excuse to silo women so that they are alone when making these commitments. I'm disgusted that the contract mattered more than my initial appointment. I have good insurance and a good job; there was no reason to block medical care outside of being slimy and money-hungry Also, the contract said NOTHING about cancelling the payments if I changed my mind about the provider. The billing rep said plenty of assurances that were not on the document itself. They didn't seem keen on adjusting the contract either I will never come back here. Businesses will keep up with these practices as long as we let them. Expect better and walk away when you feel financially coerced.
