This place is not what you would think of for sugar cane juice, but it's great! Come here for your sugar cane juice, for real! They sell other stuff, but they have a little area they use on the front left side of the store just to make and sell juice. The plaza has another sugar cane store, but this one is the one to get!!! Get it with the kumquat. Come here and get some sugar cane juice, probably the best of SGV.

Here for a refreshing sugar cane juice. The large goes for $7 with ice and $12 no ice. Unfortunately the cup was half filled with ice which was a lot... I almost feel like no ice would've been a better option but you need the ice to dilute the sweetness. The sugar cane with kumquat juice mixed in which I am told it's the Vietnamese way. Personally I would ask for no kumquat next time as I like my sugar cane juice pure. Fast service, the lady juices the sugar cane upon order so it's very fresh.

Very good fresh sugarcane. Be patient because they squeeze the real stuff right before serving. Will take a bit especially if you order no ice. Large is $7. No ice large is $12. The lady is so nice. Place is cash only. But I didn't realize I had no cash until later...they let me pay with card with $1 extra charge (think the card machine is actually for the herbal store).

Sugarcane XL $6.00 - very cold perfect for the hot summer weather - pretty sweet - after taste is tangy - large size Notes - decent sized parking lot - staff mostly spoke Vietnamese but can understand English - wait time is 10 minutes without phone ordering so I recommend placing an order via phone call before going!

Introduction: While most people may come for the herbs, my friends and I come for the sugary nectar of the gods: the freshly-pressed sugarcane juice. Drink: Sugarcane juice, I grew up drinking this stuff since I was a toddler; therefore, the drink holds nostalgic value for me personally. This is the perfect thirst quencher for California's scorching summer days when the average temperature reaches anywhere from 90-114 degrees. At Khanh An Duong the sugarcane juice comes in two flavors: plain sugarcane juice or sugarcane juice mixed with kumquat. I like both options for different reasons. The plain sugarcane juice is good in the sense one gets the refreshing, pure, and clean taste of the sugarcane solely by itself; I usually go for this option when I want to get a sugar rush. The second option, sugarcane with kumquat, is good because one gets notes of citrus at the end of each sip thereby adding on to the sense of refreshment from the beverage. Service: Adequate Price: Affordable

They have the best sugarcane and they are usually open. The family that works here is so nice.

I came and purchased a gallon of sugar cane here. The ladies teamed up and pressed it as fast as they could. One gallon= $35 They must sell a lot of sugar cane since their trash can was so overflowing in early afternoon.

I absolutely love this place! I have so many fond memories of stopping by after visiting the doctor's office next door. On hot days, the sugarcane juice here is the BEST!! I'll keep it short. It's refreshing. It's affordable. It's fast and easy. It tastes like childhood and cools you down, what more do you want? Just get in the car already!

There are individual merchandise and food vendors along the front inside of store. They carry many different international dry goods, perishable food items, fresh produce, meat and seafood, frozen items, and so much more. You can spend hours shopping here. Most recently, my Mom and I came to checkout the sugarcane juice vendor. We got ourselves one large cup with ice for $7. It is $12 if you want no ice. You have to pay more money if you want all juice. Sugarcane juice tasted refreshing and sweet. I would get it again with no ice next time. I may just bring my own ice or drink it as is.

Do not assume that something will have the same taste and texture as what you remember from hometown just because it looks similar. I once bought frozen razor clams that turned out to be chewy, smelly, and almost impossible to chew. Another time, I bought a bag of frozen green mussels. They had exactly the same shape and color as the ones I usually bought from Chinese markets, but they were not cooked. Once defrosted, they practically melted into water. Vietnamese markets also sell many kinds of fish by weight. Most of them are good, but you need real experience when buying raw seafood. Otherwise, it is very easy to waste money. Thuan Phat is a typical Vietnamese market in this sense. You can get most of the ingredients a Chinese family needs. Their fried or dried pork skin is actually much better than what I have found in most Chinese grocery stores. But again, only buy what you know. You need to know the quality, and you need to know how to process it. This Thuan Phat also has several tanks and a full seafood counter for live seafood, including crabs, tilapia, and other fish. The prices are lower than at many Chinese markets, and honestly, the quality is not bad at all.

It's not an ideal store for daily items but if you're interested in some healthy products or curious about Chinese medicine, I'd give this place a try. Price ranges from moderate to pricey $$$ so if you want to impress some elders with ginseng or something, it's a good place to be! It looks more like a warehouse type setting so it's not as aesthetically pleasing but they do carry a lot of different variety of herbs and other things. Some things I saw: -Sea cucumber -Black fungus -Dates, longans, etc -Chinese yam -Dehydrated mushrooms -Standard grocery items (soy sauce, vermicelli, gluten flour, green/red beans, etc) -Lots of chinese medicine herbs with funky names My grandma found this place off a TV commercial. They were running some specials on canned abalone and dried scallops. I honestly don't know how much of a *good* deal it was but my grandma was very happy with what she got. We also got a packet of dried fixings to make pork soup, dried shrimps and a bag of Chinese sausages from San Francisco. The place isn't very visible or noticeable from the street so either look for the red sign or their green shop sign. They don't have an actual parking lot but it wasn't hard to find a few open spots. Accepts cash, card & EBT.

TLDR: tasty Vietnamese-style beef jerky. Recommend!…read more My aunt who lives in Texas, occasionally sends my mom some care packages with cool/exotic foods we don't have here in Canada. In my mom's most recent package, she got a bag of Bach Cuc Beef Jerky and Squid Jerky (among other things). My mom knows I love Asian-style beef jerky, so she shared some with me (she offered me some squid jerky too, but I passed, lol). Bach Cuc makes Vietnamese-style beef jerky, which is different from North American-style beef jerky (which I also love) in that it tastes less processed and is less smokey. It's also less salty. It's more similar to South African Biltong, but not the same. It's less dry than Biltong. I love Biltong too, but I can't eat too much of it because my temples hurt from all the chewing, lol. That doesn't happen with Vietnamese-style beef jerky, which is a good thing, and a bad thing, since I end up eating more than is good for me, haha. I really like the beef jerky from Bach Cuc. The seasonings are flavourful and there's no gamey taste to the beef. It's moist enough that your temples and jaw don't hurt when you eat it, but it's still dry. It's drier than Thai-style beef jerky. Can you tell I love all beef jerky? Haha. I learned that Bach Cuc translates to White Chrysanthemum and is the name of the company's owner's grandmother :) If you like beef jerky, and especially if you like Vietnamese-style beef jerky, I definitely recommend giving Bach Cuc a try.
