Perfect attraction to visit after Sugarloaf Mountain. This farm grows a variety of lavender plants and offers products at their farm store at an affordable rate. The owners are incredibly friendly. The owners took the time to describe fun facts about the farm and show us around the lavender fields. This farm offers fun activities for all ages ranging from a labyrinth, bamboo forest, etc. I purchased lavender oil, which smells heavenly and is completely pure. We visited during the early season for the lavender, so we didn't get to see as many lavender plantss in full bloom. However, there were some lavender plants that were bursting with vibrant color. The only drawback is that with flowering plants, bees are around. Thankfully in this farm the bees are more interested in the lavender plants than the visitors. As long as you leave them alone, you won't be bothered. Just beware of the gnats. Can't escape them ;)

Grab your basket which they provide and pick away. One thing about Frog Eye is it's not crazy huge where you end of walking for miles and then have to turn around and the blueberries, parking and purchasing are all right there, so everything is nearby and not spread out like some farms I've experienced. They offered water, bug spray and they even let us weigh our boys baskets and they could put the blue berries in them instead of the baskets they provide. They have a hand washing station too and you can eat the blue berries as you pick. I find their website and facebook page both very informative and accurate, but if you do have a question they respond very quickly through their facebook messenger. You want to get away from the city and looking for something different on your way out to Harper's Ferry and just enjoy the day and relax Frog Eye Farm is a great place for this and at $4.00 per pound it's a great value too. On a typical day, though, there's a dedicated parking lot right on site, making it very convenient. The greenhouse was filled with a great selection of plants, all of which were well organized and appeared healthy and well cared for. At the front of the store, they also have a fun assortment of unique planters, vases, and other plant accessories that are worth browsing, even if you're just stopping in for a few plants.

They absolutely have some plants that are worth every penny being rare, mature, expertly cared for, etc. But I also saw a golden pothos for a ridiculous price and those are a dime a dozen. I myself got a holiday cactus that was so severely underwatered it had started puckering. I bought it just to water it! I wish they had a better reward system. It's like a physical card that I'm sure I will lose or forget to bring with me.
