I was attempting to gather information on the pricing of one of their cars, seemed to be priced significantly higher than other offerings and was looking to ask why that was. The guy who called me started off very neutral, but abruptly added pressure to the conversation to entice me to make a purchase I assume. When I told him I was no longer interested, he started to be unnecessarily aggressive with me and proceeded to tell me not to waste their time and hung up. I was shopping for a gently used Honda CR-V in good shape that didn't have too many miles on it and ended up at Khodas Cars in Gilroy. Their website was easy to navigate and they had a small inventory of CR-Vs so I took the 30-minute drive to check them out. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The sales rep (Page) pointed out where the vehicles were on the lot and let me check them out on my own, no pressure. I did find a CR-V that met my needs, and included a CarFax report. Short review: Khodas Cars is fantastic! Great inventory at great prices, and Page and Pat are wonderful to work with! Longer version: my parents recently lost their home in the Eaton fire, and my Dad, who is disabled, lost his wheelchair van. Khodas Cars had a fantastic wheelchair ramp Toyota Sienna available at a great price. I stopped by to check out the car and met Pat and Page, who both were super friendly and accommodating. I'm a car guy, and I enjoyed talking with Page about some of the fun sports car inventory he had on the lot. He told me some of the things he looks for when selecting inventory to make sure he gets quality cars, and it shows. The van was super clean and well cared for, and so much of the other inventory on the lot left me with the same impression. They have a really nice selection of Corvettes as well. I was really happy with the van and decided to come back with my wife a few days later to buy it and drive it off. There were no high pressure sales tactics or hidden fees. One was basic/standard, and the other, more expensive one had some nice after-market modifications. They did not try to sell us hard on the more expensive option, but instead allowed us to "get there" ourselves comparing the two vehicles and considering the value of the modifications. There's a stereotype of "used car salesmen" and I was expecting to be utterly swindled. I needed a car though so what else is there to do. So I just choose this place because the reviews made it sound trustworthy even though it's 2 hours CalTrain from where I live. The reviews here were stellar; far better than other places (which have like 2 stars). I felt comfortable enough that within 10 seconds I told Pat I knew nothing of cars and financing. Generally not a good idea to say when buying a car, but he did not take advantage of that at all. He was incredibly helpful and patient with all my questions and wanted to make sure I understood everything! He didn't try to sell me a more expensive car, add on misc fees, etc. He was completely transparent and wanted to make sure I made the right decision. This was the biggest purchase I've made in my life, but felt completely comfortable! No anxiety at any point during the process I've had the car for a few days now and it's like new!! It runs better than newer cars I've tried in the past. I don't think there's any secret to this besides hard work and knowledge (they also seem to specialize in Priuses). I could already see myself looking at the car, but Pat decided to wipe it down/clean it again while I finished paperwork. There's no quirks at all, no funny sounds, the carfax are super in-depth. My stepdad is a veteran and he has had one job after the military which he retired but never owned a car that didn't break down within the first year of owning it. So this purchase was huge for him. Rushed and not everything was explained to me they just threw never is at me. I gave him a number that I can work with and that's all I wanted to do and they they give me they charge me a lot more end up paying 31,000 for a car that I was supposed to only pay 16,000 for it so I really upset me. I wanted to look at other cars and stuff, but I should've read the fine print they said I only had two days to return it after a week. Everything started going wrong with the shift or snapped. There's a leak in the tranny leaking the oil need new oil pan check engine light went on. Had a vacuum leak at the dealership Chevrolet in Watsonville fix it then I took it out again for a drive and talk to the loan officer. He said I could buy a buyout for 12,000 which is ridiculous but I'll do it. You know to get out of this contract thing with them and they refuse to work with me on it. Coda the two brothers Pat and one of his brothers they basically said if I make my payments for eight months straight that they would be able to trade this car in for me and I can get something else I wouldn't end up paying 31,000 for it so anyway check engine light goes off again and I needed to get there was a vacuum leak and they managed to fix that they needed spark plugs and the flashers my warning caution signals aren't working brake lights aren't working and it wasn't on the warranty that I got sold by them so out-of-pocket cost was like another couple grand and the warranty did cover about 4500 of it and I've driven that car a total of one week since I bought it November 24 and it is now January 10 it really sucks and I really feel taken advantage of so does my mom she helped me out with the down payment and she feels like she got ripped off too. That was her next day. She was helping me out with and I just really feel bad. I was just never happened. They're pretty shady. read more

Their buying experience was really painless. It's too bad that they sold me a lemon. The check engine light went on about a week after I drove the car off of the lot. They claimed that I waived all of my rights to cancel the agreement because the car was "as is". However, each dealership is required to inspect a car and disclose any issues. They did not disclose this issue and then said that they could not refund my money. They also played the victim hard-core when I brought this up and accused me of being mean to them. Not only are the seats stained but there is a significant dent in the hood, the battery is corroded, the oil is burnt, scratches on the passenger side, and the hood is misaligned from a non reported collision. Not only was the sales individual pushy but he was condescending, and clearly had no idea what he was talking about. Front damage to vehicle is not normal wear and tear and is a clear sign that additional damage may have not been reported or included in the carfax report. I walked by the dealership in the early morning hours on Tuesday, after dropping my car off at meineke for service to look at a chevy volt I had been eyeing for a few weeks, the dealership was closed since it was still pretty early. After looking at the details of the car I knew I wanted it. I came home and started doing some research(yelp,google,kbb)on the delearship and the value of the car. I was surprised when I realized the value of the car was not marked up significantly from what KBB was showing. I called the number from the website, and spoke with Pat. He had offered to come pick me up at my home since my other car was still in the shop but I decided to exercise! --gotta fit into my wedding dress soon!! When I got to the dealership Pat was helping another customer. He didn't want me waiting around so he provided me with the key to the car to look around and get a feel for it. It was my first experience with an ev and Pat made me feel like going ev was the way to go and that's what I wanted! I commute 120miles round trip for work, and did not want a Prius! The car was in good condition. There was some damage to the lower fog light, Pat mentioned the part was already ordered just waiting for it to arrive. I was so relieved to know that it was already taken care of and I didn't have to bring it up! I had to do financing, (not a millionaire) and have pretty good credit. The process was very simple and the bank has already called me to confirm details. Pat was very informative about ev's and was able to answer all of my questions. During our test drive he was so patient with me and showed me how to use the charge stations over by the outlets too. I was able to drive off with my new volt in just a few hours!! I have been in communication with Pat every day since I purchased the vehicle, he's been so helpful in providing different apps to use for tracking charge information and to just check in to see how I'm doing with the car. It's very reassuring as a customer to know you can reach someone at anytime for any issues regarding the purchase of a car and I can't thank Pat enough in being so patient and so helpful!! Today Pat came by my home to actually pick my car up and have the light fixed, my car was back in an hour and the gas tank filled!! So generous!
