I leased a car from here and had a overall good experience. Unfortunately, they lied to me about the Kia access account being for three years, the whole lease term. I've had the car a year and the Kia access is gone. I can't use remote start or other features. I hate that Kia has gone to this stupid subscription based system. Kia of Anderson will not help me out with it at all. My salesperson that lied/led me to believe something false was Aaron Hamby. I wouldn't recommend folks using this Kia. read more

Pretty much awful all around. The car was a great price but not worth the hassle and has had a few mechanical issues. To start off with they never sent in our tag info to the dmv, so we were stuck without a car for a while after the temp tag expired. Then they told us the loan we got would not have an early payoff. It did and was a massive waste of money. I called the dealership and they denied that being in the contract but it was in the contract the bank sent over to us and it was even our signatures. I would have sued if it was more money on the line but legal fees would've been more expensive and not worth the hassle. I'm just glad it's over and done with and we don't have to deal with either of these people. DO NOT finance with Park National Bank, they are awful and keep charging you fees and interest of paid off principle balances. read more

NO STARS! I wish I never ever heard of this dealership. I purchased a 2018 Honda Fit EX with 44,000 miles on it from Bill Tracy and Jackson on 1/6/24. There were some unadvertised exterior blemishes (that looked like Ray Charles did the touchups) and an engine starting / grinding noise that started a couple months after I took delivery ($1376 repair). The car also needs $2000 worth of fuel injectors. Inside the car there appears to be some rust on the seat bolts I had not previously noticed which makes me wonder if this car has had some sort of water of flood problems. So Scott Clark Honda wants ALMOST $4000 to repair all the problems this low mileage vehicle has. Looking back on only a couple months in, I should have walked away but I brought my money, my friend and spent two hours each way. Haste makes waste I suppose. I SOLD THIS PIECE TO CARVANA! Don't ever buy a car from there, or at least don't buy this piece that Kia of Anderson sold me because it will cost you $4000 as soon as you take delivery. DO NOT TRUST JACKSON OR KIA OF ANDERSON! UPDATE: Called the dealership and Jackson said "sorry." Yeah you are sorry. I shouldn't have trusted these people and I caution you against the same. read more

I purchased my Kia in March of 2024 and the infotainment system is having issues and I was told it was a connectivity issue. They told me the issue happens at start up. I told them I can be riding along (long past startup) and the screen will go black and eventually come back up. Anything I listen to after start up is sound terrible. It has done it since leaving the dealership. Then I attempted to get a correction pen for a little scratch in my paint and was told they only sold for the actual color of the car not the silver surrounding. If Kia cannot fix their problems, then who? I would not recommend this dealership. read more

So.... saw the Kia of Anderson, SC Facebook ad for the "Billy Buyout" offer which was offering $5k over KBB value. So, since I was going to be visiting my daughter in Greenville, I decided to make the the required appointment and drive over to Anderson. Sounded like a good opportunity to get a new car. We owe nothing on our current car so no complications there. After the "Billy" inspection, I was told the KBB value was just a little over $4k. That was lower than that what I pulled it up myself on the KBB website but my thought was... well, $4k plus the "Billy Buyout" offer of $5k over KBB.... that should work. When I mentioned the ad, I was told no... the total trade in value they would allow is $4k. Wait, WHAT?!? So, the Facebook ad was bogus! There is no $5k above KBB just a straight $4k. This is absolutely false advertising and the normal car lot slight of hand, so to speak. What a complete waste of time. Not to mention, who would want to do business with a dealership that uses deceptive advertising. read more

Our journey to Kia of Anderson began on June 25, 2023, although we never knew it. Their motto is captured on the South Carolina Temporary Tag, -- "We'll beat any deal, anywhere, anytime. "We put that motto to the test, and Jesse, our salesman, certainly earned our business. Most Yelp® or Google® reviews I read strike me as either a leisurely stroll through a thesaurus or something akin to a quick comment in a going away card for a fellow co-worker or supervisor you barely knew, but you're being polite writing down 'something.' My daughter's car purchase is much more. It involved car theft by the Kia Boyz, traveling by plane from Philadelphia, Pa. to Columbia, S.C., traversing the Palmetto State and beyond, visiting six Kia Dealerships, and receiving six separate, and distinct Kia sales' experiences. During the night of June 25, 2023, near King of Prussia, Pa., my daughter's 2020 Hyundai Elantra was stolen. Apparently, the engineers at Hyundai saved a few dollars and designed an ignition set-up which allows a simple USB cable and maybe a minute or so to steal a car. There are YouTube® videos on it. Look them up. Amazing. So simple a child can steal a car, and they do. Many thanks to local law enforcement who found the car a few days later. After three full weeks dealing with my insurance company of 29-years, a settlement was reached. My daughter flew from Philadelphia, Pa to Columbia, S.C. last Thursday. This is where the epic journey begins with six Kia dealerships. Looking back, it was not the theft, the insurance company, the flight, or the driving around for four days, which made me appreciate Jesse at Kia of Anderson. It was the Kia dealerships and how they try to sell a car. One dealer had us drive round-trip four hours for cars which did not exist on their lot, although they assured us they did. We went to a different dealer to look at trim levels not in our budget, but we gave it a shot since we were assured the price "out-the-door" would be at our price point. It was not even close. And a few dealers gave us "the speech" on how the price cannot possibly go lower. But here's the tricky part. We got the absolute possible lowest price in the universe, but after a few minutes of chatting, that price magically went down. One salesperson said he sold his significant other the same exact vehicle my daughter wanted to buy for only $5 dollars less than his "absolute" best possible offer. At that moment, I figured what is a $5 dollar price premium for a 2024 SUV. Well, my daughter's gut instinct kicked in and she indicated it is time to try one more place. I agreed because it was only around 30 to 45 minutes down the road. That last leg of the epic journey led us to Kia of Anderson and our salesperson Jesse. Jesse is a superb salesperson. Superb is defined as not pushy, genuine, very forthright, and he strikes me as a person who truly understands the balance between a buyer's desire to pay the lowest price yet keeping his employer with some profit margin. However, when a salesperson tells you the overall net profit on a possible car sale is only $58 and there's no "back-end", you know that cannot be true. Assume 1,000 cars sold in a year with that little nugget, that means the dealer's profit is only $58,000. Would any savvy businessperson really take all that risk for such low returns to run a dealership. Or I just sold my significant other the same car for only $5 less .... So, for those sales folks out there with comments like that, I would say stop, pause, and call Jesse at Kia of Anderson to get a lesson or two in sales. Jesse strikes me as a very nice guy who is willing to help others along the way. Jesse sold my daughter a 2024 Seltos EX at her price point. We drove and traveled collectively at least 1,600 miles, invested about a solid week of time, and drove over the course of the last four days just south of 500 miles. Jesse of Kia of Anderson earned our business. Jesse sold my daughter her car in around five minutes. If that is not the definition of a superb salesman, then nothing is. My advice to the buying community: If you know you want to buy a Kia, then traveling to Kia of Anderson is well worth the mileage. Looking back, an airline ticket from the northeast to the Palmetto state saved well over $3,000 for the same exact vehicle, same trim level, et cet., because prices in the northeast are much higher. And, driving to six separate dealers, covering at least 475 roundtrip miles was well worth the drive to visit Jesse at Kia of Anderson. Jesse and the last 45-minute trip was well worth every inch traveled. And what a deal in our favor -- $1,000 savings. Even if you do not reach a deal, you can go to the Smoking Pig BBQ which is right across the road. Jesse is a former Marine like myself, and my son is also named Jesse. 2012 son bought a Soul from Kia of Anderson cause they were best buy. They recently had a flyer in mail where you won up to $20k in pull offs. Now I know I wasn't winning anything but nothing on the flyer said anything about other numbers needing to match in order to win, which meant I did win $5k. So I drove up there to ask. Of course I was shocked I didn't win, lol. But I received an email from Brandon March saying: Steve, You and I both know you didn't buy anything, and if you really thought you were going to be the one winner for the cash I truly am sorry for you. Now I know that this guys on top of my purchases but it's the response I got from them that is unprofessional. I as a customer may be dissatisfied but this, is absurd. Agree with the above review....aside from Jim in the service center and a couple sales people, it's the worst dealership i've ever dealt with. They have had my car for over 3 months in this last year...1 due to the car being a lemon and 2 because they miss standard things that should be checked before returning a car to a customer, which have lead to probably a dozen visits and yes, my car STILL HAS ISSUES The owner gets rave compliments...yeah, if you are giving him money, but if you have a problem, he doesn't answer letters, phonecalls or emails, promises deals to 'make you smile' but then goes back on his word. Oh and if you need to deal with Randy...expect total bs, stupid comments and sexist treatment if you are a woman! By far the worst car dealership. I purchased a car in 2010 with an extended warranty, which I had 14 days to cancel. Within three days, I cancelled the warranty. However, for two years I have been battling to receive the money back. On August 8, 2012, I found out the extended warranty was cancelled in August 2010 and the check from the warranty company was cashed by Kia of Anderson in August of 2010. Kia of Anderson never sent the check to my loan company and just deposit the money into their account. They are the worst car dealership ever. So for two years, I gained extra interest on my car loan due to their unprofessionalism and organization. Also, they are always hiring a new financial advisor, obviously they cannot keep workers. I had a great experience with Kia of Anderson. I bought a new 2016 Kia Cadenza and the transaction was the smoothest, most professional and friendliest I can remember. The deal they offered was much, much better than I was getting in Atlanta and it was worth the less than 2 hour drive. When I got there Tricia had the car detailed, programmed and ready to go. Her tour of the car's features and controls was the most comprehensive I have had. She has been selling Kia's for 12 years and really knows the cars. Teresa in the internet department was also terrific, quickly responding to questions and relaying information. There were none of the usual games in the finance department and I felt respected and valued during the whole process. I went up there to look at a kia with my nephew. He is in the Air Force and I didn't want him screwed over by dealerships around his airbase. Without any credit yet they said he needed a co-signer in order to get it. I repeatedly asked the salesperson, Presley, if I co-signed would it show up on my credit due to me planning on buying a car this week. She repeatedly said it wouldn't unless I took over the loan. I agreed to co-sign. I asked the finance person repeatedly the same thing. She also said it wouldn't show on my credit report. Went to buy my car today and was turned down due to already having a car loan. Went back to dealership and the finance person denied that I even asked even though I have 3 witnesses that were in there. These people will lie to anyone in order to make a deal. read more

Received a coupon in the mail for a free 5point inspection. Due to some issues, I took it in. After the inspection, Randy Mauldin came out, told me what was wrong, and told me it would be $85. I showed him the coupon again, and said no. I have a coupon for that. It's free. He pointed at a sign on the door that said we might charge an $85 inspection charge. I handed him the coupon and said, if you do, this covers it. He got very indignant, and somewhat rude, and asked me if I was going to have the work done there. I responded I would, and we needed to make an appt if they couldn't fix it that day. (Told me they had to order parts from Greenville)He said he put me down for the next Wednesday at 12, and that it would be $250 to cover 1 1/2 hours labor and the part. Wednesday at 12, I was there for my appt, I was then informed my appt was Tuesday at 9. I asked why I wasn't called to verify, and Randy said he didn't think I was serious because I gave him a hard time about the coupon. I had to reschedule AGAIN. So, finally, I got my car in today. After the hour it took to fix my car, Randy came out and said it was $250 for the repair. I asked him, if that was for the 1 1/2 hour labor and the part, he said yes. I said it only took an hour. Randy then said they go by the national labor guideline and that's the charge. Sometimes the labor is 2 1/2 hours but we only charge for the 1 1/2 hours. The lady at the register looked at him like he was nuts, as did I.. Randy then left. I asked the lady if she thought that was right, and she said no. She proceeded to call Kevin, I guess the actual manager? He was very nice, and refunded the $45 for the extra 30 minutes of labor, while also telling me the issue with the coupon was also incorrect. I didn't even go into the issue with the wrong appt day. But there was another gentleman that got me scheduled for today, and somewhat got me over the previous schedule issue. Overall this was a horrible experience, and reinforces why NOT to go to dealerships for unwarrantied repairs. read more

Until recently I had a great experience with Kia of Anderson. I live in Greenville and made the 40 minute drive to purchase 3 different vehicles from this dealership over the years. Recently I was ready to purchase another vehicle and met with the Manager, Jeff. He shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said he would make it work- especially since I had been a loyal customer for so long. Well, he did not make it work and instead tried to pull the wool over my eye with an absurd offer. When I went back in to return the keys to the loaner vehicle, he walked by me 3 times and said nothing. A handshake and maybe a "I'm sorry I couldn't make this work" would have been the LEAST professional courtesy he could have afforded me. I will NEVER drive back there and will no longer recommend this dealer. He's a snake like all other car dealers. UNPROFESSIONAL and only friendly when you're handing him $$. read more
