Okay, so I don't know how the pictures will post yet, but start from where I'm stretching my real hair, up to where it's short now. . Here's what happened: in the picture with the clip ins, that was my third or fourth time ever going to them, which it was my first time ever letting someone besides my mother or myself to do my hair, which I told them. I'm obviously black, idk how Spanish hair work, but you CANNOT use excessive heat (specifically a flat iron on the hottest setting) ESPECIALLY WITHOUT A HEAT PROTECTANT. That was my first time getting clip ins, so the lady tells me, after I had to say something to her about all the heat she was using (before she started going over a piece of my hair like 20 times with the flat iron, the previous worker had already blow dried the shit out of my hair, like a loooot) that she had to flat iron it a lot to make sure it was straight enough to blend with the clip ins. But as I told her, if she kept flat ironing, I'd have no hair to blend in with the damn clips ins, which is ironically what happened in the back portion of my hair. Another way I know they used a lot of heat besides my feeling them go over the same part multiple times, I've never had my head almost scorched by a blow dryer, that's how hot and often they kept it at my head. And then the flat iron, by time that came out my scalp was already sensitive due to the blowdryer, but the flat iron was so hot it's like the heat traveled up my hair and kept burning my scalp here and there, which I ofc said something to the lady. Ultimately, I should've just walked out at that point without paying, lesson learned because now my hair is damaged and they're lucky I didn't notice my review never posted until now. Idk how that goes unnoticed. And they like to make sure you're not facing the mirror either. Vicky, the owner, each time she did my hair I faced the mirror, with these girls, no. And I know it messed up at this point, because as y'all see in the picture, I have braids in. I've gotten my braids done at least 3 times now, and my stylist didn't have a problem braiding my hair until the last time, AFTER the clip ins, where she told me there was breakage. I would've never noticed if it wasn't for her telling me. . So I'm honestly pissed about it. My hair doesn't grow that fast, so for this to happen I'm honestly disappointed. And if I ever go back, only the owner can touch my hair when it comes to heat because I don't trust any other worker at this point. . I'm giving three stars because I honestly love the owner and as you guys can see, they know how to do hair. My only problem, is that at this point I've brought in 2-3 of my siblings, and then myself. I'm a family of 2 boys and 6 girls, I told my mother and older 2 sisters about it to encourage them to go and support (because I really loved how they did my hair prior and even with the clip ins tbh), so I'm bringing these people customers and it's like, now I don't even want them going out of fear these workers will make their shit fall out and not say nothing out of fear of being fired or someone wanting to sue or something. Which forget suing and losing a job, some people like myself take their hair seriously. And I was furious when I found out and was honestly ready to go in there and spaz. But by then it was already a few weeks if not a month later. So overall, my problem is with the other workers besides the owner. Unfortunately though even though I like them, I'm probably not returning and hope to find some black salons on the island that know how to do black hair. . I thought this salon did, but I don't know at this point. Be able to do the hair and understanding it are two different things. Which brings me to another point, one of the workers tried to detangle my hair after a wash from top to bottom, that is a RED FLAG when it comes to black hair, that is how you go bald. So idk what's going on with the salon, you have some workers that know, and some that are probably there just for the check, and it's unfortunate they're causing reviews like this for the owner, because I'd give it two stars if it wasn't for her. After I take my braids out, if I remember I'll post another review (or edit this one) showing y'all exactly how bad the damage is if you can't tell from the photos posted. read more

I loved the look of the salon so I went for a haircut and blow out. The haircut came out super choppy, and one side was waaaaay longer than the other. Contacted the owner and she didn't want to give me a refund for something they messed up on. Terrible. read more

Where do I begin I'm so disappointed I been to this salon before. When the actual owner Vicki use to be there but yesterday omg the balance the layers, and no volume and the fact that the lady chopped off my hair was not giving NOTHING at all I was so upset and my hair smells horrible like hair dye & when like a blower burns your hair not even the shampoo they used smelled pleasant I have 3 different tones in my hair where the hell is the balance then I was told to come back Monday so they can fix it like if I don't have a life so they told me to come back Saturday early I look horrible. crazy thing I felt the vibe when two customers before me looked so upset with some other lady working there this salon has gone to shit what a shame. read more

Two months ago I decided to try this hard salon. I got a wash, cut and a regular blow out. The ladies a very nice, very sweet and attentive. My hair was very dry from a box color I had applied myself at home. My ends were very dried. I got a trim, some long layers and chopped my dried ends. My hair is very fine with a faint wave and I only needed a trim. They know how to handle every clients hair needs and do a very good job at it. I booked my appointment after seeing a Facebook story by their page the day before. I booked on the spot but had to wait a bit after arrival . Yet it was worth it. They do not rush , they pay attention to your requests, are very kind and the prices are moderate. They follow safety guidelines for covid 19. I will be back . read more

This place is AMAZING! I have been to several salons in my life and when I tell u this is the best one I have EVER came across. My daughter and I got a wash and set, cut, deep conditioning and I got bangs all of that came out to 75.00 which I find to be cheap. We got both our hair done by Niña and she did a great job on my hair but when it came down to my daughter OMG! That lady caught the Holy Ghost! She worked a miracle on my babygirl hair! (Pictures below) This will be our new every 2 week spot from now on. FYI they do not close at 5:30pm, that time is just for the last call for wash and sets, 4:30-5pm is the last call for any relaxers, dye, etc. read more

They are honestly just straight up HATERS!! They are jealous of me for whatever reason and they reek of envy. Been going there since it opened , actually the stylists have been doing my hair since 16 , they were known as "Tropical Hair Salon". No real complaints other than the wait time.
