Kim was helpful to get me scheduled immediately. In addition, she was always very welcoming. I was assigned Bridget as my therapist. Bridget was very thorough and patient. I was impressed in how observant she was to my progress and carefully paced my program. I was being treated for Vestibular trauma. Who knew there was treatment for dizziness/vertigo symptoms? I went in to therapy hopeful but skeptical. I couldn't believe how much better I felt early on in my treatment. Bridget was so caring and it is obvious she knows her stuff! What I also enjoyed was that she thoroughly explained every task and treatment along with the ultimate goal. She would even say "studies have shown...", which I appreciated! I cannot say enough about my experience at Kessler. While I did not work directly with the other therapists, my interactions with them were always positive. The facility welcomes an array of ages and ailments for both PT and OT. I highly recommended their services. Thank you to everyone at Kessler in Clifton!

In doing so, she banned me from lifting weights and challenging exercises which led to my physical deterioration and melted the majority of my muscles from my legs to hips. I came to Dani with knee pain and extreme hip pain. We are at our three month mark, and I am lifting weights, jogging, jumping, etc. I still have some knee pain every other day but its a process. I would definitely recommend them. They are attentive, follow up, and gradually keep up with your exercise plan. Their goal is to improve your every day life and damn, they surely achieve that. Front desk is always available, they always answer the phone and scheduling sessions is easy.

Evan is very caring, knowledgeable, experienced, and a good listener who set up my individual program and monitors my progress. He's easy to talk to and always makes me feel very comfortable. All the aides on the floor are very pleasant and always helpful. They're able to answer any questions about an exercise or which one comes next or the number of times I'm supposed to do that one. I have particularly noticed that they are always moving around the floor watching and do come over if I'm not doing an exercise correctly. In addition they keep the tables and equipment very clean. The office staff is so friendly and pleasant and unlike some other medical facilities they actually answer the phone! They're always ready to listen if I need to make another appointment or reschedule. The aides will also take care of scheduling. Soooooo, if you need physical therapy I highly recommend Forward Motion!

In March 2016, I suffered a knee injury playing soccer. The left knee buckled as I was playing. MRI…read moreshowed a complete tear of the ACL in the left knee and other associated minor tears of the meniscus and bone bruises. In a few weeks after the injury, I was a able to walk with a limp but the left knee could not be straightened for a long time due to inflammation and swelling, I felt minor instability (wobbliness) while walking. My surgeon recommended ACL reconstruction surgery. I decided to get my surgery a couple of months later (3 months post surgery now). I went to a name brand sports medicine therapy facility prior to coming to Family Choice thinking it will be the best and knowledgeable for me to get me back 100% ASAP. However, it was a horrible mistake as I wasted 3 weeks of my PT at that location until my family recommended Family Choice Physical Therapy in Clifton, NJ. I mean the name says it all, EVERYONE of the staff treats you like FAMILY and knows you and your name on a personal level so their patients feel comfortable and like family. The staff is VERY knowledgeable and accommodating to your needs plus more! I made the best decision to transfer my PT location to Family Choice. Czarina is one of expert physiotherapists that worked on my knee. She put me through a structured course of physiotherapy with an emphasis on: a) to recover knee function and Range of Motion (ROM) straighten it out, b) to strengthen the leg muscles supporting the knee, and c) to improve neuro-muscular coordination. I am doing my exercises on my own on the days I do not go to therapy (which is recommended) to assist in getting back to a normal life ASAP. I am gradually getting back to normal day-to-day activities as time goes along. Czarina and Clarvin Ombajin (husband and wife) and the Family choice team are professionals and experts in physiotherapy, and I highly recommend them. I have recommended them to my family and friends and will definitely go there in the future if I ever need rehab. The staff at Family choice deserve a shout-out for making my physiotherapy sessions a pleasant experience. Thank you again! - Jignesh Patel

When I got back from the trip, I went to see a podiatrist for my ankle issues. He recommended SportsMed in Clifton. The physical therapists are really good. Brian is one of the nicest physical therapists there. He knows his stuff. Dr Adams is really nice and had the therapists teach me to walk a bit differently. I was very pleased with this aspect of SportsMed. With that being said, the office staff (seems like the corporate office is in Glen Rock) needs to improve as to how they communicate with patients and when to do so. There was a check that went missing after one year. I was called during my working hours about this. The person wanted me to contact my insurance to get another check reissued. Although I was busy at work, I contacted the insurance company. I was on the phone for an hour with the insurance rep and a rep from SportsMed. The insurance rep said that they would reissue the check and it would take one month to do so. Three weeks later, I get a call from the SportsMed rep asking me why the check hasn't arrived. I told her that she was on the phone with me when the insurance rep stated that it would take one month. She said ok. I called the insurance company. They had told me that the check was still being processed and it would be mailed within the next week or two. It was sent to me the following week and I delivered it to SportsMed. After this issue was resolved, I get another call from the SportsMed office the following week during working hours. They had left a message to call them back, which sounded urgent. I was not happy with this since I had to leave my desk at a busy time. I went to a conference room and called them back. They called to check up on me and to promote their new location in Paterson. I was ticked off and told them that that they were calling me at the wrong time. I also mentioned that I was not interested in their Paterson location. SportsMed has really good physical therapists. However, the corporate office needs to improve upon their communication skills. They need to realize that their patients might be at work when they are calling. I would suggest that they send an email and/or text message stating briefly what the issue is and to tell the patient to call them at their earliest convenience. In case of a promotion of a new office, a simple email will do. As a result, I'm a bit iffy regarding returning if I ever need physical therapy again.
