I kind of just stumbled upon kid to kid.. but apparently it's quite well known among the parent community. I happened to be at park road shopping center with my toddler on a rainy day. Luckily, the center is covered for the most part, but I happened to be without a rain coat ( can winter coats just double as rain coats too??) for my toddler at that time and thought maybe I would pop into this store to see if I could find something to utilize the rest of the rainy day/season. To my surprise, I was met with an abundance of clothes, organized by age, and in good condition. I ended up finding a Zara rain coat which worked perfect for us and was $5 or less. A quick wash at home and we are still wearing the coat a month later. It was in great condition. The store also offered such a great variety of toys (some still new in packaging), feeding accessories, books. Really anything kid related. I found the quality to be pretty superior to other consignment stores I have checked out. For it already being pretty price friendly, they seem to often have additional sales where clothing pieces are only $1! The employees are hit or miss on friendliness. I was met with s blank response when I said good morning to the lady behind the counter.. whatever. Other employees seemed to be in a better mood, I'll keep kid to kid in mind for future shopping trips. It's convenient and fun to look around too. read more

I found a nice ski/snow bib for my toddler nephew here, and I equate this store to kind of a Plato's Closet for kids. I'll admit I didn't know it was a second hand store before entering, but I quickly figured it out. It's pretty organized and features plenty of new items as well, such as baby teethers. I think anyone can find something of value in this store, but staff could be a little bit friendlier in their customer service! read more

If I could give this location a ZERO, I would. As a former associate and Buyer at another Kid to Kid location, I have sold to numerous locations and never had such a bad experience as a customer. I went in today with numerous brand new and some used items with tags from popular brands Zara, Janie and Jack, H&M, and some Lower brands like Carters, Cat and Jack etc and was given $34 for two full bags of items. (I used to work here I know the policies on what they accept or will decline) I decided not to go through with the buy and take my items elsewhere and was told that my items were already out on the sales floor and that my other items had already been donated. So I was forced to accept the $34 for my items and I have no idea if they actually "donated" my items or kept them to sell on the sales floor new with tags. It's in Park Road shopping center which is always awesome but as soon as you enter this store the customer service is often poor, very unorganized with clutter and a lot of things that get in the way. The clothes they actually "buy" and sell are often stained and not gently used and don't even think about purchasing shoes for your little one from here!!! Most of the shoes that were in my child's size were in very poor condition, used (not gently) and a lot of them have mud and dirt stains. Something is always better than nothing for kids clothes but with terrible customer service and the employees who lack experience in purchasing, you can have a more pleasant experience at another location, trust me! My best advice is to take your business elsewhere I will NOT be returning. read more

Donate for a tax write off instead. Definitely don't leave your stuff to be donated there if they don't buy. I received an email that I had $29.00 to pick up (after leaving loads of exc condition clothes) when I went to the store and signed the receipt for $29 they said "Oh, it's a mistake- you only get $19, someone's stuff was mixed with yours". Unacceptable but they have your stuff so know you can't do anything. Except tell others to save your time and energy and stay away! Heard similar stories of shady dealings. read more

I've been to this location of Kid to Kid and it is one of my favorite stores. When you enter the store someone always greets you and the store always looks organized and meet. Came here for the first time when strolling the area. I saw some coloring books in window that caught my eye for my niece. There was a lot of different items all around the store ranging from clothes, to shoes, face masks children's activity books, and more. Once you enter the store it's organized but there is a large abundance of items on the sales floor. Is packed in there. My mother looked around and asked if this was a consignment shop. The cashier laughed very loudly historically and said no. I don't know what was so funny about the question. The banners above each aisle have a different name than the name on the store door. It's a bit confusing. We purchased face paint and books. The prices were average store prices. The customer service was lacking. There was no thank you ,can I help you with anything, or even a hello from sales associates. I love kid to kid, as you can find some really great items for children, however this location misses the mark. I have been here several times and each time NOBODY greets you at all. They look up when you walk in make eye contact and say nothing, how rude. What I find just as awful is the lack of customer service. My last trip there I asked the woman about the stamp on the tag, she was so annoyed to answer the question. The shoes are always in a disarray. This location is awful and I will never return. I also drove to pineville or huntersville where people are polite and the stores are both way more organized. I don't suppose they will be around much longer with that type of service. The store has potential but there needs to be training done. Staff needs to know how to treat people. read more

I had pretty bad experience with this store last year. I decided to go back because I heard it has a new owner/management. Pros: *Store is lot cleaner and organized. *Staff is more polite. Cons: *If you are a buyer: things are overpriced. For a pair of ok-condition Nike sneakers they are selling them for $15-$18. You can find new ones for just about the same price when they are on sale. *If you are selling to them: they pay way too low for your stuff. They took two pairs of Nike sneakers, along with a nice hat and some toys -- I got paid for $5. And I'm pretty sure they turn around and sell those sneakers for $15 each pair. Conclusion: The idea of such store should be a win-win situation where owner makes money while helping people who can't spend whole a lot money on kids stuff. But now it makes me feel it's a complete ripoff. So ladies, just try to sell your kids stuff on Facebook local mom groups, or donate them. read more

Store is in a great location, in the park road shopping center. My rating for a seller would be 1 Star. For a buyer 3 stars. So overall 2 Star and here's why: Seller: as a seller you might as well post your kids stuff online or use apps like OfferUp to sell stuff. Or better yet, give it away to someone who needs it, you'd feel better about it. - I can tell you right now that if you are thinking about taking your stuff in here they might give you like 25cents-75cents per item at very most, and that includes items that are brand new with tags (and cost well over let's say $20). The first and only time I tried this, I took in the best 30 pieces I was willing to let go of (let's be honest sometimes it's hard as a parent to part with your child items) and they offered me like maybe $9 dollars for all of it. So I, shocked, said no thank you and kept it all. Buyer: as a buyer you can find kids stuff at a decent price for new and mostly used stuff in here. The store is packed, but somewhat organized into sizes. They do have sales sometimes where there's a sticker on the price tag so that means it's a certain % off. **but beware that also means it's final sale.** AND just to clarify. Everything you buy is kind of final sale Bc once you buy it, you can ONLY return for store credit.* Staff: sometimes kind, sometimes not so friendly. I love shopping here for my sons' clothes . I always find really great items. But this time the store was extremely messy and stuff was everywhere. The shoe area was unorganized in both the girl and boys side , shoes were unmarked and all over the floor. The clothes were stuffed on the rack and hard to look through . This place is a scam. I dropped off a huge bag of clothes and shoes to sell. Got an email saying my sell was complete and they would give me $27. I went into the store and asked "what are you buying". They were unable to show me what items they wanted to buy. I said ok well where is the rest of the stuff you don't want? They were unable to find it. The girls working were so rude. Said it wasn't their problem because they weren't the ones who went through my stuff. Finally found the items they didn't want to buy in a trash bag mixed with a ton of other peoples clothes. This place is scamming people, don't come here. read more
