Kid to Kid is an awesome spot to get gently used kids clothes, toys, shoes, etc. I have a son, and he isn't one of those kids who plays video games and watched TV all day - he's extremely active, which means he blows through clothes and shoes faster than I can take the tags off them. I get a good amount of his clothes at Kid to Kid because I feel better about supporting a local business AND saving money on things my kid is gonna trash in a couple wears, anyway. I used to get some of his shoes there when he was a toddler. I've only sold his used stuff to them once; as I mentioned, he is pretty rough on his clothes. They took a good amount and they didn't take some, and the money we got back for what they did accept was minimal, but it helped! And if they didn't buy it, we were just going to donate it, anyway - which you can do through their location, too - makes it super easy. Kid to Kid has new snow gear in the winter, so I get that here, too, and sometimes a winter coat when we have a "cold" Phoenix winter. Truthfully this is one of my favorite if not favorite places to buy clothes for my babies-toddlers. to sound super hippie, new clothes all the time are just absolutely not economically sustainable.. like it's like really not.. good for us. like it's like really bad for the environment.. lol. :/ don't get me wrong I will be the first one to unreasonably buy the craziest priced cute event outfit or unique shoes for everyone in my family.. but Kid to Kid is where's it at since these kids just grow so fast . There's some really great finds I've come across, like they have every known brand, I get to sell my old kids clothes and toys when other apps are slow. I recommend all of my friends here and they get to sell and trade their kids clothes too . It's a vibe I love it. I love coming here to buy all my kids clothes. I have a 6 year old, 2 year old, and a 6 month old and I always find amazing things for cheap prices for all 3 of them. I've noticed that their prices are starting to change and become higher almost exactly what you could buy brand new. Although the selection here in amazing I wouldn't waste my time selling to them anymore. When I first started shopping here a couple years ago I would get a pretty good amount of the items I take to the store bought and get store credit which I loved. Their policy is to bring clothing washed and clean because they don't wash anything, they put it out as is which I understand and don't mind doing. however the past 3 times I've tried selling to them my newborns brand new clothes that she never wore they don't take anything besides what they need and they say it's because the items are stained or worn when they simply are not because my newborn never wore them. My other kids clothes have some wear to them but we take care of our clothes and they grow so fast out of their size almost every season. Some items I've purchased from them in the exact same condition they had on the shelf and they won't buy them back. They are very very selective on what they want to buy. Basically they want brand new items that are name brand or from SHEIN to resale because that's all they have on the racks and if your clothes have any type of wear or are from Walmart or something that's not an expensive brand to them don't waste your time going through the hassle of washing and folding and taking them down and having to wait for an hour in store like Ive been doing. You will be very disappointed when you take a big pile of clothes and they only pick out a couple items and give you $5 in store credit and you have to take the rest of the stuff to goodwill next door. I took a few sets of clothes well worth over $50 and I got $14 in store credit. I mean it's better than nothing and every dollar helps but just don't have high expectations on the amount you can sell or how much you can get unless it's items they say they are in need of. Also if it is some type of baby gear or toys if there is even one tiny stain they will not take it. They don't clean anything so if you can't make an item like a swing or bed look brand new they will turn it away. Better off trying to sell on your own and you'll get more money for it that way. read more

Love buying from this location. Everything is always organized very well and easy to find. The staff is very friendly and willing to help if you are looking for something in particular. I haven't had any issues selling at this location either. It does seem like they take less than other consignment stores but the volume of items on the shelves could be the reason for that. read more

Decided to stop since it's across from target which is where I was heading to get a few items for my 5 year old. Great experience. I was able to get 4 tshirts 3 pairs of shorts all looked new or great condition(all name brand or quality store brand). I also got a pj mask toy hauler truck (retails for about $60+ new only paid $10) also found a few pj mask characters as well... spent about $40 total! The staff was pleasant and helpful. for what it matters the retail value of my items was easily over $150. read more

This place is great to go and by things you need for your kids. They have a large selection of clothes in all sizes. They also, have a large selection of toys, bouncers, maternity clothes and shoes. They also, have fitting rooms and a play area for smaller children. However, if you are looking to sell your items you might want to try somewhere else first. They do not give you very much on your items. Granted, you can't expect to get what you paid for, ever. I have no patience for offer up or Craigslist people that don't show up, so it is worth it to me to take a little less for my items. You get more for store credit than cash, and I received a 20% off coupon tonusr in that shopping trip. The girls that work there seem nice and I was greeted upon entering. Not a great place if you are towing a newborn in a stroller. It is a pain to get around in there with a stoller. read more

Had the same experience as Amber. Brought in newer clothes from Dillards, Nordstrom, etc and was offered not even $10. Also given the mandate of wait or donate, and the poor lady before me was rudely ordered to do the whole laying the clothes out flat thing while trying to watch her kids. This business does not need anything you're selling because their store is so overstuffed, they'll reject most of it. So don't waste your time like I did, standing around that musty smelling store waiting for them to offer you a few pennies. They don't even accept high end brands, so you're not going to find them there. You get more for your money (and your heart) donating the clothes to UMom, Sojourner Center, or anyplace else that benefits families in need, and taking the tax donation. read more

I came here for the first time yesterday since my 7 month old baby is already wearing 9 months clothes and outgrowing everything he has! I didn't have high expectations because the reviews seem sort of mixed. I had a very pleasant experience, found many onesies and a few pairs of pants in great condition! I bought a little toy and a baby toothbrush and only spent $30! The $1 mismatch rack is a cool idea and I found a few things there. Kid to Kid is a great place to find (mostly) gently used children's toys and clothing. I bring a lot of my daughter's clothes here when she outgrows them. They don't give you a lot of cash or store credit for the items, but I like to get the credit for toy purchases. Toys are extremely cheap here at this store. To give you an idea of prices: Yesterday I found (but did not purchase) a toddler Ariel doll which goes between $16 and $25 retail at Target, Costco or The Disney Store. It was very new (these just came out several months ago) and was going for $5.99 at Kid to Kid. I have found a lot of My Little Pony toys here in the past. They usually have 3-5 in a bag for $3.99 or $4.99. I purchased a kid's tool bench and a washing machine for $13.99 each last year. I got a Duplo table for $27.99. Honestly I prefer bringing clothes to Turnstyle for consignment than here because you usually end up getting more money for your items. Of course, Kid to Kid gives you instant gratification by buying your items upfront and not consigning them like Turnstyle. NOTE: If you decide to sell to Kid to Kid or buy from them, make sure to sign up for their email list. Sometimes they send coupons for 20% off an entire bag of clothing or toys. They also offer $10 off $30 coupons every once in awhile. You can also find coupons in the Entertainment Book. read more

Strange Business Practices... I took in some of my things to be sold to kid to kid and left surprised. I had 7 items including many big ticket items. I purchased these things for well over $400 new and they were in great shape. They offered me only about 1/4 of the worth. Now this was not really a problem because I said no to some of the bigger items and took them home with me to either give to friends,sell on craigslist, or sell at a garage sale. However, I did sell some of the smaller items. I received a small credit ($35) in store which I was thinking would be good to pick up some clothing at later time. Before I left I asked for a receipt for the items that I was selling and I was refused a receipt stating that they put the credit towards my phone number and they are NOT allowed to give receipts. This is highly unusual in this day and age and it left me bewildered by their business practices. Because of the low amount of money that you will get for your items and the strange practice of NOT giving any documentation of the sale to the customer I would not recommend selling items to this company. It is good to note that the representatives treated me nicely. The amounts you will get for items are as follows: Toys: 30% of what they sell it for. Equipment: 40% of what they sell it for. For example if you bring in a high chair that you paid $125 for new, they can only sell it used so it estimate 60% of original value; therefore, they will sell it for $75. Now take 40% of the $75, which is $30 and that is the high end of what you may get for your $125 high chair at Kid to Kid. With the number it is easy to see that it is not worth the gas and time it takes to go to kid to kid. Have a garage sale be happy. read more

Just walked into this place upon entering both the ladies behind the counter looked at me then looked away i wasnt greeted i wasnt smiled at i felt extremely unwelcomed and the place doesnt smell good its kind of a messy whole in the wall stuff all over the place not really very organized i mean if i at least got good customer i might of ignored the dull smell and unorgantization of this place. I have been in this store many times, and I have given them business both as a seller and a buyer. In general, I am not very impressed with either. The used items they offer are only slightly less expensive than what you could find new in a store, but they only give you about 10% of what they are going to sell it for. They also only sell (and buy) items from big retailers like target, Carter's, Kohl's, etc. I tried to sell them some super cute, brand new, handmade items which they wouldn't accept because they weren't from a large retailer. They made me wait around for almost 40 minutes before telling me this. Way to support local shops Kid to Kid. I've finally learned my lesson, I will just sell my own items for 10 times the price on offer-up. read more

I like this place because I can usually find great deals on kids clothes there. Found my daughter a pair of Skechers boots for $6 that didn't look worn at all and an Osh-kosh jacket for my son for $3 with the original tags still on it..what? However I was displeased with my buy-back situation though. I lugged in 5 bins one Saturday only to be told the buyer was gone. No problem, they let me leave them there so the buyer could take a look on Monday. They told me I couldn't negotiate a price if I did that, but mostly I just wanted the bins out of my garage so I didn't care. So I was expecting a call on Monday to get my stuff and didn't hear from them. I was dealing with doctors and a sick child on Tuesday, so i couldn't call them then. By Wednesday I finally gave in to call them where I was greeted by a high school worker who obviously did not want to be working there (I get it, I was in HS once too). I told him I was calling about my bins to see when I could pick them up. He asked whomever in the background and she said "if we haven't called then they're not ready." "Really I said, but you've had them since Saturday." *Insert muffled background talking here* "Can you call back, we're really busy." Click. WTH? I'm of course thinking they lost my stuff or something. They actually called me back in an hour and said that they had gone through it and I could come get it anytime after Thanksgiving (T-day was the next day). Well I had family in town all weekend and had to work on Monday. So on Tuesday they call me to tell me that if I don't get down there soon they would donate my stuff...grrr...if they had called me when they were supposed to and when I had time to come pick it up, this wouldn't be an issue. So I make arrangements to rush down there before they close at 7 and get my stuff. Come to find out they took NOTHING and I still have 5 bins in my garage. I had some boutique-y clothes and gymboree clothes in there and they left it? Sheesh! I got about $30 for whatever they did take and had to lug home the rest. Soo, I probably won't take my kids stuff there for them to purchase again. It was too much of a hassle. which probably means I won't really shop there to much since it's a little out of my way. But I wouldn't say never. we'll see.. read more

Keeping in mind this is a consignment store and not a retail store, overall it's pretty good. The selection is fantastic, the product quality is great, and the prices, while not garage sale prices, are mostly okay. The fill a bag sales are fantastic! You can really get some fantastic bargains, but you'll need to come early and dig through the bins. Don't expect the best stuff to be sitting on top, magically undiscovered till you walk in. I scored 45 terrific pieces for quarters a piece! But you'll have to work for it. Customer service could be better, but it's mostly just hardworking employees trying to keep everything running smoothly. Kids grow out for things quickly. Kid to kid has every size I'm looking for all my kiddos. They love this store I don't see why I should pay more at retail stores when I can find what I need here. The clothes they have are always in good condition if not new with tags! The store is always in clean condition when I stop by, and the employees are always nice and friendly. I took the cash because at the time there wasn't anything I wanted to get for store credit. The only negative thing I would have to say is that some of the items out for display did not look gently used or clean. I visited this location because I had a few boxes of clothes my daughter no longer needed and decided to resale it. When I first walked in I was greeted and quickly helped by several nice associates. The store was nicely clean and organized. It didn't take long for them to go through the clothes I brought in. They brought a couple items which I appreciate because my drive to the location would've been worthless especially packing and loading the items in my car. As I was ready to leave, I decided to walk around the store to see if I wanted to grab anything for my daughter. However, I noticed that many clothes that had "cotton balls" on many clothes where overpriced. I was a bit upset because as i walked in I automatically loved the store but majority of the clothes were over priced for resale items. read more
