We have emails showing the cans were full and removed with rental company. Returning property as it was found, no damage done to the property. Normal wear and tear on the invoice and some are not even real. Duck tape so rodents don't go in the house.. wear and tear! And all health issues gone since moving out Security deposit can not be deducted for no damage and just wear and tear, as seen on invoice to the property. The towel bar was like 40 years old! Sean and Cathy can kick rocks with slippers on. Extremely unprofessional and unethical.

Last summer when I had to sell my Waikele house that I rented out for over 20 years, I chose Russ to represent me, instead of the outstanding real estate company that managed this rental house (this company represented me when I initially purchased this house over 20 years ago). I needed an extra special real estate professional, as I was expecting a difficult sale in late 2022. The tenant unexpectedly passed away, the Hawaii housing market crashed, mortgage rates hit historic highs, and the house was in need of major renovations. After interviewing several highly recommended real estate professionals, including those that UpNest arranged for me, I discovered Russ. It was only after extensive interviews that I discovered what a hidden gem Russ was. The low number of customer reviews on the various real estate websites do not do Russ justice. The result? As I live on the mainland and had not returned to Hawaii for 15 years, I had to rely on Russ to handle 100% of my house renovation and house sale in Hawaii. Russ handled $100K of upgrades to the entire house -- from new roof to new everything inside. He even offered his own personal muscle power to deal with an unexpected plumbing issue that was easy enough for him to handle, instead of paying the contractors additional money to modify the work order that I already paid for. Despite the challenging market, Russ successfully sold the house shortly after opening for almost 7 figures -- much more than I expected. Critical to the sale was all of the sales strategy development, planning, and execution needed to achieve a sales win in a challenging real estate market. Though I am extremely picky, Russ continually earned my trust with his constant updates, immediate solutions to arising issues, and sound judgment, that I deferred most of the decisions to Russ the deeper we got into the renovations. I would have posted this much much sooner after the sale, if it had not been for other personal issues I had to deal with first. From the very first walkthrough, I suspected there was mold in the closets. I immediately brought it to the attention of the agent, Frances Lau, who insisted there was no mold present. Despite my concerns, on the initial inspection sheet, we noted a mold-like substance in both closets. As time went on, my family and I began experiencing health issues, and we spent thousands of dollars at doctors' offices and even took our dog to the vet, trying to figure out what was going wrong. We then experienced a massive leak in the apartment, which led to the ceiling being cut open and, to our shock, revealed large amounts of mold that had been hidden behind the drywall. Despite this alarming discovery, Frances Lau and SC Realty refused to take our concerns seriously. We requested that the unit be tested for mold multiple times (five times to be exact), but each time we were ignored. After no response, we paid out of pocket for a full mold inspection, and the results were horrifying--every single room tested positive for high levels of black mold. At this point, my family was already feeling the health effects of prolonged exposure to toxic mold. To protect our health, we made the decision to move out as soon as possible. However, even after we left, Frances continued to ignore our attempts to reach her. We had to escalate the issue to her boss at SC Realty, but we were still met with indifference. SC Realty then forced us to sign away any legal claims in exchange for allowing us to break the lease early without them keeping our security deposit, even though they had previously threatened to withhold it. It's clear to me that SC Realty is well aware they are renting out unsafe, uninhabitable units. To make matters worse, they raised the rent by $250 and began showing the unit to new potential tenants less than a month after we moved out. If you value the health and safety of your family, I urge you not to rent from SC Realty. This company knowingly rents out mold-infested units and will do everything in their power to avoid taking responsibility. Frances Lau, in particular, was the worst agent I've ever encountered. After speaking with other agents at SC Realty, I can confidently say I have nothing positive to say about this company. They are dishonest, negligent, and completely unconcerned with tenant safety. The sad reality is that the State of Hawaii does little to protect renters in situations like this, leaving companies like SC Realty to continue engaging in this behavior unchecked. I have documentation and test results that prove the apartment was infested with black mold. Please, do your due diligence and avoid this company at all costs.

Why doesn't he have somebody to cover for him while he's "sick" - scam and complete slob!! I fired him as my agent. Do not hire Tao, Jennifer, Ben or anyone affiliated with this brokerage. After Tao was fired, I worked with Jen and she started twisting her words and got caught in her own lies. Petty and filthy. When I spoke to Jennifer about my property, she made it sounds as she was innocent and complexly impartial. She emphasized she wanted to do what was best for the customer and she had no interest in making money for the brokerage. Later, I find out she ripped me off because she takes a lion share of the brokerage earnings - as her grandfather started/owned the business. Things started to make sense now. Also, they couldn't do simple commission % math. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but with all the sneaky and sly things Jennifer and Tao did, it was done. Jennifer was hoping to not get caught and really should be reported to the board and fined/have license revoked for intestinally ripping off customers. Brokerages calculate commission for a living -- that's their livelihood Furthermore, Tao, Jennifer, and Ben will not put anything in writing, mail, email, etc. because they know they will get caught, and they change their story constantly - they did with me for almost a year.
