The store at the new location seemed smaller, but I am not a good judge of square footage! Upon entering we were immediately greeted and asked if we needed any help. The staff were super friendly and eager to help. The front half of the store has new items for sale, and the consigned items are in the back half of the store. The clothing and other items continue to be beautifully arranged and it is easy to find the size that you are looking for. The consigned items are in great shape, without fading, tearing, or pilling. I found the consignment prices on this visit to be a bit higher than those at other consignment stores. Most of the infant and 0-3 month onesies and other items were priced $10-18 dollars, and some at $24. We did find a few items that we felt were reasonable and were surprised at the register to discover that they were also 20% off. Like on my first visit, I appreciate Playthings great selection of educational and fun toys. Their selection gets away from gimmicky action figures, Barbies, etc., and focuses more on thoughtful toys. For example, I noticed several Melissa & Doug toys. I took my time to browse a bit, and then one of the employees asked me if they could help. I mentioned that I was shopping for my soon-to-be 1-year-old daughter and her friend, who was also celebrating a birthday. The employee pointed out toys that I may not have considered otherwise. In particular, I bought a great magnet matching game and cuddly baby doll with a magnet pacifier. (Not sure why magnets became the theme, but here we are.) Playthings also gift wraps, which is such a nice touch that helped me cross an additional item off my to-do list. My son turns 4 in just a couple of weeks. I'll definitely be back to find something great for him!

I was encouraged to take it in the bag "to keep it flat." When I arrived home, I noticed a damaged area on the front of the top (sold as a "vintage t-shirt"). I returned it but was provided with an excuse about why it would be damaged. I was also only given the open of a store credit. With a purchase of almost $100, I would have liked a credit card refund. When questioned, I was told, "That's just how we have always done it." The store employee followed up by asking if I needed a particular product that they sell. No apology at all. In all honesty, I wouldn't have returned to this store without the credit. So there's that.
