I went shopping a few weeks back with my 5 girls and some friends when we stopped into this shop. The building walking in will Give you big time nostalgia vibes. Lots of oldest clothing styles and vintage items to browse in this two level shop. The men's department is upstairs and the costume rental area is in the very rear. When back there be sure to look in the rafters for some old school child terrorizing animal mascot heads that are fun to check out. On our trip here my oldest found a 50s retro looking swim suit that she fell in love with. It was reasonably priced so we made the purchase. Overall a pretty cool shop that was fun to browse and brought a blast from the past feeling for me personally. Only strange thing was there was rack with an old uofl mascot hoodie my second oldest wanted but it wasn't priced yet so they simply said "not for sale".

They have a nice selection of clothing, accessories, and home decor. Lots of different colors of clothing to choose from. Cons: A little too pricey in my opinion. For example, many of their dresses were over $120. I have found similar styles for cheaper at other boutiques close by (Apricot Lane and Darling State of Mind for example). None of the clothing or jewelry options 'wowed' me enough to pay what they are charging. In my opinion, there werent a lot of clothing options for women who arent super thin. Maybe they have more options for different body types, but I didnt see personally see any. I am average size and I didnt see too many items that would probably fit me.

I saw a top advertised online. They would only allow the purchase to be made by phone or in-person. I ordered by phone. It was packaged for me when I arrived. I was encouraged to take it in the bag "to keep it flat." When I arrived home, I noticed a damaged area on the front of the top (sold as a "vintage t-shirt"). I returned it but was provided with an excuse about why it would be damaged. I was also only given the open of a store credit. With a purchase of almost $100, I would have liked a credit card refund. When questioned, I was told, "That's just how we have always done it." The store employee followed up by asking if I needed a particular product that they sell. No apology at all. In all honesty, I wouldn't have returned to this store without the credit. So there's that.

The staff here is a great breath of peace and joy. As you enter the store you cannot help but feel happy . The color scheme of the store is utterly perfect . The selection and color scheme choices will make you happy just coming in. It's just a simple way to show you how much they care about their products and customer. You are buying local. Most of the time with some extra walking you can park on the street for free. Or they have parking lots or meters. We were at a D56 signing event and purchased a ton of houses, one of which we were told to come back and get later, for it was a retired display. I forgot...this was 4 - FOUR - years ago. Popped in this past December to pick up a Snowman house that my daughter wanted, and sure enough, they remembered me, mask and all. They brought out my house, faded receipt, just waiting on us. That's honest business. For that alone I will always shop with this group. Again, staff is friendly and knows their product. I have referred countless folks to them and will continue to do so.

When we took it back to the store (on 9/30, more than a month before the holiday) and explained the issue, the sales staff was not empathetic and told us because it was holiday merchandise they would not take it back nor offer in store credit. To make matters worse, they stated this had never happened before and implied the problem must be with our address. My advice? Do NOT shop local. Hit Hallmark or a big box store. You'll be better off.
