We waited a long while for an opening here, that said we waited a bit for our appointment also. However what a stellar difference in patient care and quality of atttention paid to an anxious child. My son is medically complex with allergies as well, which was the reason why we left our prior dentist. They took great care and precaution in regards to his allergies as well as his medical condition. The hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and very fun and lighthearted with my son. I would say if you're lucky enough to have an available appointment in this office it's worth the wait. His anxiety was not apparent in this practice. Don't go here! They refused to see my son because he isn't allowed to do X-rays. i was coming here to this location because the hours worked for me until they refused to see my son. we Are new patients. The dentist never came out and spoke to us. im in the healthcare field and you respect patients wishes not say to me "every practice is different " . It's disgusting. She also told me I need a doctors note for his disability. I have never been questioned nor as a healthcare worker to ask such a thing. I will be calling the Better business Bureau. read more

I must start by saying .... What kid likes to go to the dentist?! Well I must admit after my daughter going to Kiddsmiles White Plains she now doesn't give me such a hard time. The Receptionist always try to accommodate with scheduling as best as they can and her doctor is truly the best! Dr Pereira is a miracle worker. My daughter always leaves with a smile. I do not recommend this place at all one day they made me go on a Saturday that I had to work and it turns out that it was closed after my daughter had an appointment at 2:30 pm in March 2021 and I called to say that if I could arrive 10 minutes later because the girl was studying and the one who answered the phone very curt to everything said no no you can't my last option was to ask her when I could make a new appointment and they gave it to me for August 6 months later. He hates his job because they answer horribly to the mothers of the patients I want to find soon a place where they know how to treat people but I definitely will not take my daughter to that place again, much less to call aside where they take care of the children it is too small and uncomfortable. read more

I have had such a great experience with this practice! We chose them because they were one of a small handful of practices that took our dental insurance. The dentists that we have interacted with have all been wonderful as have the hygienists, and the office space is decorated adorably, with TVs at every chair. My son had two cavities filled by Dr Sidd this morning, and we were quite anxious about it - she made him and I comfortable and did an excellent job! Great pediatric dental practice! read more

The office in white plains is nice and clean but the service they give the kids is horrible. They are not willing to see your child in emergency situations and do not have an on call doctor. I speak from experience. I called to make an appointment for my child because he was complaining of pain in his tooth. I had to argue with the receptionist to get an appointment because she did not want to give me one. I finally get an appointment on a Thursday. The doctor took X-rays said nothing was wrong that it's a cavity. The doctor recommended that I give him Tylenol for his pain and sent us on our way. Fast forward Saturday he came down with a fever and the next thing I know his face is swelling. My husband and I had to take him to the emergency room. The doctor examined him and said he had an abscess that needed to be drained. On Monday morning he had to see a oral surgeon to have his tooth extracted. The oral surgeon could not believe that the dentist missed that infection. I couldn't believe it either. I really don't understand how this was missed when I took him in to Kiddsmile. If they had been diligent and thoroughly examined my son they would been able to detect this problem. My children will never step foot in that office. read more

My 3 year old son has his first dentist appointment today and I was thrilled with Kiddsmiles. The office is bright and welcoming, and the hygienist (I can't remember her name but she was so lovely) was extremely kind to my son (and to me as a nervous parent)! She explained all of the tools, what she would do, and immediately put him at ease. She also answered all of my questions thoroughly. The dentist came in and was also amazing. She immediately connected with my son, talked to him, and also answered any questions I had. I really cannot say enough good things about my experience today and recommend it highly for all families. read more

Scheduling or confirming an appointment is always a nightmare in this place. The office apparently has very limited time business hours. I called on Thursday and Friday on different hours thru the day and no one picked up; there was a msg saying that they were going to be open on Saturday but the msg did not mentioned any hours, Called Saturday at 2:30 pm and there is a msg saying that they will be open on Monday. A year ago I have had an scheduled appointment on a Saturday for my daughter. Went I came to their office it was closed. They claimed that we were called to let us know that they were going to be closed. We never found miss called or an email from them. **** HORRIBLE FOR SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS *** Would prefer to give no stars, Scheduled appt. for my severely special needs child that without question would require sedation, confirmed several times if covered by insurance, was told yes. As instructed by office not to have my little guy eat/drink for hours prior, we arrived for appt. While filling out forms (that I was not told to fill out online). My sweet boy was making his normal stimming noises & before completion was quickly escorted to exam room (Felt like his stimming was an issue, OH WELL! That's my boy). Once in the exam room staff who was very nice attempted to take xray that instantly made my little man uncomfortable and uneasy ???? I then informed them he will not allow this and he was scheduled to be sedated for cleaning & checkup. They then told me this would only be a consultation and we need to return another day for the sedation. Then only after telling office not to bill for this appt. due to their miscommunication was I informed the anesthesia was not covered under my son's Medicaid. (I called insurance & they do cover for special needs). This office tells you all is covered and then would have received a bill for hundreds of dollars (900.00) cause the anesthesiologist they use does not accept Medicaid. WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Does not end yet. The office Mgr. calls me to go over my concerns. I explain this huge issue of having my special needs son not eat/drink for hours, miss MUCH needed school for all of the above. Instead of taking ownership of the miscommunication, she implied that I should have known that my child would have needed a consultation and this requires further clearance for his sedation. Maybe the staff that booked appt. Should have told me this in the beginning and include that the anesthesiologist they use does not take insurance. Amazing how they list how they want your children to be comfortable & have great experience, the only good thing about today was my son got a little bouncy ball !!! read more

My 3 year old had her first dentist office experience today at Kiddsmiles and I am so impressed with how well it went. The hygienist was excellent, and was so warm and friendly! She made it such a pleasant experience for my toddler who, on a normal day, loathes teeth brushing. I am so happy with this place and will recommend it to family and friends! read more

My child has been a patient at kiddsmiles for at least 2+ years. It has a very kid-friendly atmosphere, doctors have always been pleasant, and I have never had an issue that needed dispute, until recently. My child was recently a patient of Dr. Pereira, where I was told my child had seven cavities. This was quite shocking to me considering that my child does not have an excessive amount of sweets regularly. I assumed if she had a cavity or even two, I would not have questioned it, especially since due to covid, we haven't had a cleaning in over a year. Dr. Pereira then proceeded to show me google pictures of corroded teeth with very deep cavities so I could "better understand" what was occurring to my child's teeth. FYI... there was no comparison! By the time I left, I was fuming. I instantly did some research and within the hour, found a reputable dentist that had absolutely no prior dental history with us, so as to receive (what i assume was) a valid second opinion. I made an appt. for the following day, paid $300 out-of-pocket for new X-rays (panoramic as well) and was told that my child had ONE cavity that wasn't too deep and was on a permanent tooth. The doctor then exclaimed that this is a scam many dentists use because All this to say, please be careful with your children's teeth. Do not become mesmerized by the facade of the office if they're out to destroy your children's future well-being. There is obviously a scam of sorts occurring and most parents will take what is told to them at face value because we obviously don't know any better, but this definitely read more
