I took my 6 1/2 year old twins to see Dr. Shiva. She was AMAZING! She took the time to explain everything she was doing to them. She has such a kind, gentle way about her. It was such a positive experience. The office and staff are lovely - so kid friendly. I have follow up appointments for both kids and both are happy to go back - neither have the fear many associate with going to the dentist. It had been almost 2 years since I took them to the dentist. Both kids brush and floss regularly and were not complaining about anything and still have their baby teeth, so I just assumed everything was fine. Boy was I wrong! My son had a big cavity - I felt like a terrible mother :(. Dr. Shiva took the time to explain to me exactly the plan of action needed in great detail, putting my mind at ease. Dr. Shiva was also extremely thorough reviewing their medical backgrounds before proceeding with treatment. My daughter who was born with some medical issues actually needed clearance from her doctor before any dental work could be performed - I had no idea. My child and I had a great experience. My daughter is 3 years old and first time visiting the dentist due to an accident. My daughter's front tooth chipped. I goggle best kid's dentist and Upper East Side kids Dentist came up. I was accommodated with an appointment the same week. Paper work and insurance was done promptly and properly. Excellent service! Staffs are always smiling and very attentive with everyone. Kids really feel welcome and in a happy environment. My daughter felt comfortable at soon as we entered the office. Place is very clean and welcoming. My daughter was seen by Dr. Shiva Basir and her assistant Angie. First impression was 100% satisfaction. My child was very comfortable. Dr. Basir was very patient with my child and caring. She did an excellent job in fixing my daughter's chipped tooth. We are very pleased with the services and the staffs. Dr. Shiva Basir was kind and patient with my three children. I loved how she explained and demonstrated all the procedures to my children. My other child visits the orthodontist in this office - so when I heard they added a regular pediatric dentist - I was thrilled. We already love the staff here and know the office is state- of- the -art - gorgeous! Dr Shiva was terrific. The team was efficient and to the point and thorough. They put sealants on the back teeth which makes me feel a little calmer about the less than perfect brushing. Best of all, she confirmed a previous diagnoses that this kid does not need braces. My children have been visiting Dr. Vaysman since they were both 5 years old. One had a severe underbite; the other had a modified palette due to thumb-sucking and was missing some teeth. Not only is she excellent at her work, her staff is capable and kind and great with kids. We never have to wait long. The process is smooth. And my children love going there because they have a great incentive system. We are very happy. And even though we have to commute in from Queens, we will never go anywhere else but to Dr. Vaysman. read more

This was a wonderful experience from the moment we stepped in through the door. They greet your child and I love that. There is an ipad available in the waiting area with apps for kids. Dr. Shiva Basir is amazing. She makes the child feel so comfortable. I would say if you have a kid go see Dr. Shiva Basir she will make taking your child to the dentist so stress free. We chose Dr. Tanya due to her conservative dental plan for braces for my 2 daughters. She has expertise but also practical life experience.
