I've been going for few months for a hybrid treatment plan where I have clear braces, metal at side, and Invisalign at the bottom. As an adult that was the best option for me and I am pleased with the results so far. I was recommended this location by my previous dentist and it's conveniently located for me. The office is beautiful, staff are the sweetest, and my orthodontist is amazing. Initial appointment they took scans and went over everything with me. Because of my treatment plan, my dentist and oral surgeon together came up with a plan and my orthodontist has been doing an amazing job. Reassuring me, explaining things. Bronsky is a smooth talking con artist. He will subject your child to torture by convincing you that your kid needs a $10,000+ palate expander, allegedly to shorten the cost and time required for braces, but it won't shorten the time or the cost. Notably, they won't tell you in advance what the braces will cost post- palate expander vs skipping this step, because they know it doesn't make sense to do this. You cannot make an informed choice. They will put you in a small windowless room with a high pressure sales agent ("office manager") to sign agreements that are not in your child's best interests, while guilt tripping you that the opposite is true, which will cost you significantly more than you imagined and result in worse outcomes. He will even try to convince you to put braces on baby teeth so you have to do it again when permanent teeth come in. Don't go in that room! Don't be swayed by his smooth talk and gallery-like decor. His services come at a premium (five figures!). But you cannot find better braces to help correct your bite, or a better doctor to fix your irregular incisors, crowded canines and misaligned molars. I came to Dr. Bronsky at age 27 with major concerns about my smile and overall appearance. Dr. Bronsky was the linchpin to my deciding to have jaw surgery combined with orthodontic treatment because of all the doctors I visited, he laid out the facts in the most sensible way possible, and my family and I trusted him. My treatment included 15 months of braces with Dr. Bronsky pre-surgery and 6 months post-surgery. In the end, my smile and overall appearance DRAMATICALLY improved, and the surgery was a huge success! When I visited my dentist after surgery, he said that what Dr. Bronsky and my jaw surgeon did for me was "nothing short of a miracle." During this process, some of my family and friends gave me an extremely hard time about my decision to the have the surgery. They thought it was too invasive and that I didn't need it. Leading up to the surgery, my family and I requested several additional consults with Dr. Bronsky to go over the details of the surgery and its possible risks. Dr. Equinda is simply the best in class. I feel so fortunate to have her as my orthodontist, not only is she highly skilled but she truly understands the intricacies of adult braces and lingual braces. As an adult, I was apprehensive to get braces as Invisalign wasn't a viable option for me. This was my first visit to Bronsky Orthodontics, and I have to say that I am in complete awe at the professionalism and overall welcoming environment this office provides. The minute that I stepped in the doors I felt as if I was walking into a spa rather then an Orthodontists office. The wonderful women at the front desk answered every question that I had, and were constantly checking up on myself, and the young man whose appointment we were there for. Jessica and Lindsay you are both amazing! At this point I would like to make note of the fact that the young man that I brought in has Autism. The accommodations that were made so that he would feel comfortable, genuinely still warm my heart. In fact, I write a lot of reviews and I am, by my own admission, a terribly critical of both service and product. So with all this out of the way, Bronsky Orthodontics is most everything the 5-star reviews here suggest. The Bronsky Orthodontics facilities are bright and clean with state of the art equipment. The feeling you just walked into the right place fills you as you are greeted by smiling staff faces at the front desk. I think happy staff conveys a healthy work environment, check! The doctors I have interacted with over the last 8 years have all been wonderfully helpful, supportive and compassionate. I would like to mention Dr. Bronsky, Dr. Matos and Dr. Pompei specifically. I would also include the staff with a special mention for Catherine A. and David who have made my daughters feel welcome and comfortable while getting adjustments and more complex appliance work. To further the above point, I remember, we had a break cause by chewing dinner occur out of state on vacation. Dr. Bronsky's office, through its vast professional network, found us an Orthodontist near the furthest reaches of the Pacific Northwest of the contiguous US. He called the office and discussed the case and needed work. My family has been seeing Mark since the very beginning more than twenty-years-ago, and have nothing but the best to say about Bronsky Orthodontics. Mark has always done an excellent job, whether it was on my dad's teeth when I was a kid, or when me and my brother needed braces in middle school. Mark runs a tight ship and all of his employees are incredibly skilled and have always been nice to me. The practice is meticulously clean, well decorated, and quite possibly the most modern medical practice I have ever been in. Even back in 2010, Dr. Bronsky had 3-D imaging to create models of my mouth. With Dr. Bronsky, I felt like he went out of his way to make sure that my palatal expander and braces were functioning properly. I never felt like he was in a rush. There was an instance where my family and Dr. Bronsky's family coincidentally ran into each other during spring-break 9-years-ago. Despite being on his hard-earned vacation with his family, Dr. Bronsky was genuinely excited to see us. I was due in for an appointment for my palatal expander the following week, but Dr. Bronsky saved me the trip by checking my palatal expander at the resort pool. I would never have expected him to do that, but that's just the type of person Mark is. Dr. Bronsky genuinely loves what he does, and that is reflected in the incredibly practice he operates and the generational loyalty amongst his patients. Dr. Bronsky is an absolute pro and honestly such a friendly guy. Even when I was a sophomore in high school and Mark had to break the news that my braces weren't ready to come off, it was hard to be mad at him because of how much I liked Dr. Bronsky and trusted his expertise. Searching for the right orthodontist is hard- but unless you've got tons of cash to throw away, cross this one off your list. Dr. Bronsky, himself, comes off great-- professional and smart. However, I was in search for someone to make me a new retainer to sleep in (the one I'd worn off and on for a decade broke) and it ended up costing me more than 2 grand. Its not just that its expensive, I really walked away from every appointment feeling like I was getting scammed. Dr. Bronsky says he wants to check in a few weeks just to make sure everything is going as planned. What they never, ever mention is that that 10 min "check in" costs you an additional $250. Then they have the nerve to call me a few weeks later to schedule my next "check up". For a retainer. That will also cost me $250. Be aware. read more

I did a lot of research before I started orthodonture for my boys (9 and 11 at the time). We have had a fantastic experience, flexible scheduling, appointments are fast and efficient, the doctor is never rushed and completely accessible. Three years later they both have amazing results. Trying to drag two teenage boys to any doctor appointment is not easy but they really like going. The office is calm and clean and everyone is nice to them. One other thing, Dr. Bronksy believes in using retainers to correct as much as possible so your time with braces is as minimal as possible. It is too common that orthodontists put braces on 9 year olds only to have to do it all again when they are 13 because they weren't mature enough and the structure of the mouth has changed. I saw Dr. Michele Equinda right when the pandemic started. I had to find an experienced and highly recommended orthodontist to fix a botched orthodontic job that occurred after using Candid (more on that review on their site) to straighten my teeth. My dentist sent me to Bronsky Orthodontics and I was lucky enough to book an appointment with Dr. Equinda. Right from the start she was determined to fix my teeth properly and promised to monitor my process every step of the way. Not only was she thorough and detailed in my treatment, she is the most warm and caring person. The care I got from the team overall was excellent and every person I came into contact with at the office was professional, kind, accommodating and caring. Regina was my initial contact and she went above and beyond to help me get my coverage for a big part of my treatment. However, if you are looking at yelp and you are looking up Bronsky Orthodontics, you have found a superb office where you can be sure that you will have excellent work done. Getting braces as an adult due to a problem with my bite that had gotten worse over the years and was really starting to change the appearance of my teeth too, I carefully researched and then saw a number of orthodontists before I selected Dr. Bronsky. While wearing braces has not been any fun, Dr. Bronsky has made the whole experience worthwhile. I have never regretted my choice. Dr. Bronsky is the best orthodontist anyone could possibly have! Really!! When I write in praise of Dr. Bronsky, it is true that he has a lovely personality, great knowledge of what he is doing, a real perfectionist streak that will make sure that your mouth will be the best that it can be, and any other good traits you could possibly want in an orthodontist, he is not alone. The impeccable standards in Bronsky Orthodontics are consistent throughout the office. Duda, Dr. Bronsky's assistant, is the perfect partner for Dr. Bronsky. She is fabulous in every way and has really helped me with her great skill and compassion. Just like Dr. Bronsky, she is fantastic at what she does. The very few times that I have not seen Dr. Bronsky or Duda, I have always had someone see me who was also highly skilled. Dr. Pompei is clearly a superior orthodontist that anyone would be lucky to have as their doctor. Everyone in the office is wonderful. As for the front desk, the staff who checks you in, makes appointments, and keeps the office running like clockwork, they are all just lovely. Everyone of them is so nice, patient, and does everything that can be done to help you as soon as you walk through the door. Whenever I talk to one of the women at the front desk, she immediately becomes my favorite. That is true no matter who I speak to. While this is a very busy office, the front desk is great at finding ways for you to get an appointment that will work with your schedule. However, if you want a bargain basement place to have your orthodontia work done or a rush job that will only superficially fix any problem that you might have, this is not the office you should go to. If you want a place for truly superior orthodontic work done with excellent doctors, dental assistants, and an efficient, lovely staff--this is the ideal place to be. The only warning I have is that if you have a sweet tooth, you should avoid the delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies always welcoming everyone at the front desk that Dr. Bronsky's wife bakes from scratch. read more

Both my children saw Dr Bronsky and, over time, I grew very disappointed. We barely saw the doctor (always helpers/nurses/other dr's and they sometimes conflicetd statements) except when we were being asked for money, whcih is when we had easy access to him (he is very expensive). Some of his decisions really felt irresponsible. My son had a speech impediment and I asked that he not have anything exacerbate that but the dr recommended a retainer that seriously affected my son's ability to enunciate. After several sessions, the dr agreed to change to something else, which worked really well, but which i had to research and suggest (i am not a dr and the alternatives should have been laid out FOR me, not BY me). Where it regards my other child, the orthodontist we eventually migrated to, and who has really made positive headway for us, told me that some of the previous interventions were not helpful. I agree, especially after seeing the current progress. When you walk in this office, you see a tray of cookies laid out and some expensive collection of rock and roll photographs. That is really a perfect metaphor for their business: they work to feed you what you think you want irrespective of whether it is the right thing for you, and they cost you so much that you are enriching them greatly. read more

If you care about your pockets and your teeth, do not go there. I was send by my dentist, that told me he is not referring there anymore due to multiple complaints from the patients he reffered. He is unreasonably expensive, and his care is at the most quesyptionable. You will see him for an initial detailed consult, and them only sporadically. His treatment , or lack of treatment, resulted in one of my gpftonttooth getting dislodged and crooked. He refused to give my my records when I over. Avoid!!! read more

BRONSKY ORTHODONTICS! My absolute favorite appointment to attend. I cannot stress enough how much Dr.Bronsky & his staff have helped me. I had a gap in my front two teeth that have been driving me nuts for years. Invisalign was a good option for me and Dr.Bronsky's staff came up with a more than satisfying payment plan for me. That was the first good sign I got when first visiting Bronsky Orthodontics. Next, I decided MID Invisalign treatment I wanted to eliminate attachments. Most orthodontists would say its impossible to switch the entire course of treatment mid way, but not Dr.Bronsky. Dr.Bronsky takes the time to LISTEN to all needs, concerns, and answers every question to the fullest. His staff is so amazing that I have been brought to happy tears with hearing some of their tips and tools to help my Invisalign process go smoother. Anything from appointment booking to how to handle the discomfort aligners sometimes can give patients-his staff goes over and above. Appointment bookings are easy and friendly, their office is also open so early that I can even call around 8 AM some days and get a response. This office has very pushy financial maneuvers.... Bronsky may be the orthodontist to the "elite" here in Manhattan but his fees are ridiculous. My daughter was injured with an out of place herbst appliance when we moved here and we were coerced by bronskys shady and pushy assistant and charged over 1000 for a service that took 3 minutes. Do not go to this orthodontist! They just want your $$$. They reel you in & once they think they've caught you they do their nasty business. You end up paying thousands of dollars....endless x-Rays later.....just so so results when you can go to a more reasonable orthodontist, smaller office, better bed side manner & good results!!!! My three daughters were his patients....btw if I'm paying the bills I would be experiencing all the meetings, evaluations on what my daughters need etc etc first hand would I not?? Bronsky orthodontics is by far the best ortho office in NYC they have 3 great amazing doctors and an amazing staff! Everyone treats you like family which is important since you have to come every couple of weeks. The level of care here is outstanding, they have the newest technology, there's never any wait time and the doctors all coordinate with each other so they are all on the same page! I recommend this office to anyone who wants to feel taken care off and gain a beautiful smile at the same time. We recently visited Bronsky Orthodontics for a consultation on our teenager's need for braces, based on a recommendation. The visit begins with a visit from a care coordinator, then multiple technicians to take x-rays, followed by a 30 minute wait for Dr. Bronsky to appear. At that time he and the care coordinator measure the bite, there is speech on the importance of healthy teeth, the urgency for immediate treatment, the social importance of image as a teenager (was that really needed), and the plan. You are given the option to ask questions, then Dr. Bronsky leaves the room, and the care coordinator takes over, with no medical training, presents models of the braces (same appliances used in the 1970's), and the pricing options, in excess of $12,000. Then, as you exit, there is a $625 consultation fee, which no one mentions when you make the appointment. Needless to say, we got two second opinions (no consultation fees), some contradictory to Dr. Bronsky's diagnosis, and each with a fee estimate of $4000 - $6,000 less than Dr. Bronsky. Note, when you do a Google search on this practice, note the multiple ads that appear, and would be skeptical of the reviews. In fairness, we can't comment on the level of care, but after this experience, decided to go elsewhere. read more
